the ice creams are delish and so are the sorbets. the prices are very steep. theserviceis prompt. it is also located in close proximity to a lot of colleges and is a popular hang out spot

for all ice cream lovers.

located in one of the busy area and famous for all restaurants as you may know.

ambience andserviceis great.

haagen dazs is meant for its ice cream quality and texture.

but is it really worth spending so much? i don't think so, i feel it's priced high and i don't wanna go there again because of the price.

others wise i'm happy about it.

i was disappointed on my recent visit here. haagen dazs is a place i go to very often. the ice creams here are truly spectacular and the variety they provide is unparalleled. but considering, it is a place that offers so much, i was disappointing on not having my previous standard of expectations met. i had ordered the eiffel tower, and waffles with vanilla ice cream. while the eiffel tower was spectacular and tasted brilliant. the waffles were bad! they didn't taste well and were very chewy and lacked crisp. the ice cream was of course, fantastic.servicecould have been better, but the ambience is excellent.

we ordered two ice cream creations and the buy 1 get 1 free offer on weekdays was very beneficial. we were two of us plus two toddlers.
we chose the creations unanimously. the first one was paris in chennai i.e. the eiffel tower creation from haagen dazs. it was as pretty as it looked in the pictures. smaller than what i had expected it to be though. 
absolutely beautiful with the brownie as the base, with chocolate and scoops of ice creams above it, to top with the carved chocolate to create the tower. the shadow effect with cocoa is too good. there's cookie, whipped cream and dark chocolate. so much to devour, though tiny in size. every element was yumm. since we were sharing, it got over quickly. the kids gobbled the chocolates and we had the other elements.
again, it looks huge and there are indeed loads of elements, they are all miniature. there's chocolate semi freddo, belgian chocolate ice cream cupcake and warm belgian hot chocolate. freddo was good, the belgian chocolate ice cream cake took the cake being a cupcake! the warm belgian chocolate too was too good. my friend was more into ice cream, so i had this all for myself. it is a micro cup with quite sweet chocolate, and thicker in consistency than the routine ones. i liked it. 
the total bill was rs 708. rs 545 is the actual cost of the creation. which itself is high. but then that's how it is for the international luxury ice cream brand and i feel that's worth with the quality offered. though i feel the quantity could be a bit more. with the addition ofservicecharge and taxes the total comes to rs 708. if not for the buy one get one scheme, the bill would have been double. well the offer definitely is awesome.

this was one of the most awesome ice-cream experiences in my life! saturday afternoon, after watching the movie- deadpool at ags t.nagar, i forced my cousin brother to accompany me to haagen dazs as i have been dying to taste their icecreams for a long time. although he wasn't in a mood for ice-cream, due to my continuous pestering he finally agreed. reached the mecca of foodies- knk road, within 5mins. located in a complex along with several other showrooms, they have valet parking for cars and ample amount of parking space for bikes as well. that solves the parking tension.

the ambience is decent and appealing to the eyes. place is well maintained and clean, just as one expects in a posh ice-cream parlour. the seatings are very comfortable.servicewas really good and professional. one con according to me, was that the waiter who waited us was continuously standing near us after handing the menu as if he was in a hurry. although he didn't open his mouth and say anything, i felt like i was being forced to order something soon. i felt like he could have left us alone for atleast 2-3mins after handing the menu for us to speak freely and decide by taking our own time. after reading the whole menu book, we finally decided to order one brooklyn bridge. as i've read in some of the zomato reviews previously in which people state that the quantity is humongous, i was clever enough to order just one for the two of us. and guess what......the quantity was humongous as expected :)

coming to the ice-cream, i can give 5/5 for the presentation. it was so attractive, that we were just sitting and gazing at the ice-cream for nearly five minutes without even touching it!! my brother who was so reluctant in coming here at the beginning, started drooling once he saw the ice-cream :d finally after much hesitation, we removed the chocolate bars at the side and started eating it. with each and every bite, i started transcending to the heavens! never have i tasted such thick-and-soft-at-the-same-time ice-creams. its thick when you scoop it, but just melts as soon as it reaches the mouth. there was one scoop of vanilla, one scoop of chocolate in the middle and finally one scoop of strawberry that actually had strawberry pieces in it! i mean, how often do u get chunks of strawberries in your strawberry ice-cream!! this is the first time i've had strawberry chunks in a strawberry ice-cream. the second layer is a very thin layer of whipped cream and the last layer is super thick ice-cream which looks like cake. it took us more than 45mins for us to finish the whole thing. even though it was a little too sweet for my brother, i found it perfectly perfect in every way i could imagine. can't find anymore words to appreciate the taste!

finally, the bill (which took me to heaven as well :p) was rs.1033. rs. 795 (price of the ice-cream) + rs. 238 (service charge+service tax+vat). i knew the prices before coming but didn't expect the extra charges would be around 30% of the price of the ice-cream. i wouldn't call it a tad expensive, it's extreeeemly expensive! for middle class people like me, i would say this place is only for special occasions. but this place is a must-try for foodies, especially for ice-cream lovers! even though the prices are sky high, this place is worth visiting once in a while. planning to visit the branch in phoenix mall, velachery soon, but definitely only on some special occasion :)

amidst my hectic work schedule, chanced upon this gem of a place during my visit to one of the tax offices around this area..

the space is huge and theserviceis impeccable.. the offerings are beyond delicious.. they have an expansive menu catering to every kind of ice cream craving that one could have.. 

do try the waffle and crepe concoctions.. 

verdict: to be tried for sure.. you will be spoilt for choices!

haagen dazs is an international ice cream brand. they are very expensive as they only import ice creams. so i always wanted to try this legendary ice cream brand. finally we made it. we were the only customers to them; it was 12:15am. yea while all the shops were closed in knk, nungambakkam. haagen dazs was alone open. so we quickly parked the car and went in.

we had a scoop of choco midnight cookie ice cream with cone chip as topping and real belgium hot chocolate. the one scoop was medium sized and not very small. it was bigger than what i expected and the cone chips can be named as sides instead of toppings. one the other hand the hot chocolate was served along with choco fudge. there was cream on top of it. the hot chocolate was good and easily one of the best hot chocolates i have had in the 20years. i had to order choco midnight cookie flavor in ice cream because all the others were done. this didn’t taste bad. but i wanted to try the belgium chocolate. on my next visit i will be trying it along with the platter. people talk great about their platters.

ambience, since the restaurant was free it was all ours. we could sit anywhere as we lived. the decoration part is done well and the ambience is too cool. the lighting gives a royal look for the ice cream parlour. the sofas and the cushioned chairs give a comfortable seating. there is the wall poster of bradley cooper who is the brand ambassador of haagen dazs. also there is a tv which runs their ad in repeat mode.

cost, expensive is the only word i can use. the taxes they put for the ice cream. they say its 175 per scoop but it ends up at 240 per scoop. also the hot chocolate is 395 without tax. they put 20% tax on the whole. this makes them very expensive. this also makes haagen dazs to be visited only one special occasion.

service, they take care of their customers so well. it’s 12+am still they do goodservicenot like other places where in a hurry they push something to their customers. that’s something good about their service.

parking, there is enough parking for cars and bikes in the front space.

my rating would be 4/5. (mainly because of the price they drop down.)

this place located on the edge of knk road is a delight for dessert lovers. the place has decent parking space to start with. the ambiance is spendid. the variety of ice creams and desserts are awesome. the presentation is really top class and so is the taste & quality. theserviceis great too. the pricing however is definitely on the higher side but then again you can forgive this based on all the other things that are close to perfection, the location too demands such pricing and it is not daily that you are going to indulge in such sinfully delicious looking desserts. overall a nice place to try on special occasions.

the flavors are what are available internationally..
all their signature dishes are in the 'must try' category especially the fondue...

the pricing of course is extremely high...but this is an indulgence that must be experienced !!!

the only grouse i have of late is that my favorite flavors seem to be out of stock just too often (i guess lot more people like the same flavors)

presentation is on point. a lot of different flavors but the scoops could be bigger... not really worth for the price, really small in size compared to others. goodservice(y)

a great place, a great taste. this is a must visit place in chennai for a amazing unbelievable variety of ice cream dessert. i would say its great experience. one caution is with great taste and quality comes with a high price tag. we gang of 3 guys went for a late night desert and the bill little above 2.5k. so who would spend so much for desert?? but we were thoroughly satisfied.

one of the best ice creams i ever had....before visiting the cafe i thought the menu they have displayed is just a dream...its too fancy to find in india, but to my surprise what i ordered looked exactly the same. theservicewas also good. the ice creams are at a higher end, but u will get what you are paying for. the only thing i did not like was they did not have the most of the chocolate and coffee flavor available during my visit.

overall this place is a must visit place for all ice cream lovers!!!

häagen-dazs, the danish sounding ice-cream company, is a revelation on the dessert platform. this particular parlor stands out in terms of the ambience and undoubtedly the sweet course. the place is huge and comes with a valet service. well, i would like to see those big red chairs at their phoenix market city branch here.

regardless, the seats are comfortable and cosy. they have a wide selection of icecreams and pâtisseries. the brownie celebration with belgian chocolate sitting atop a brownie tastes amazing. tiramisu, being my favourite, i do not leave any dessert pub without having it. naturally, their tiramisu charm with coffee and vanilla icecream is perfect for my palate.

service is exceptional here, as the waitstaff are knowledgable and courteous. the pricing is a bit on the higher side, loaded withservicetax,servicecharge and vat. howbeit, it is acceptable given the overall experience. i would certainly visit this establishment continually in the days to come.

haagen dazs does nt require a review!!! the food the ambience theserviceis just a class apart! the flavours the presentation the ideas you guys are wooooooooow! u burn a huge hole in my pocket but ur ice cream makes up for it!
