it was weekend, my wife and i wanted to taste good ice cream, we were in nugambakkam,  we went pass byhaagendaz and so we stopped by this place to check it out, they have amazing interiors we wanted to try something simple as it was our first time and we wanted to take away.
we tried two different flavors belgian chocolate is a must try and a scoop of coffee. 
we just loved it ...we would be back for more  for sure, although this place is on the expensive side ...:-)

ambiance : this amazing dessert world is there right in the entrance of khader nawaz khan road, nungambakkam which houses lot other restaurants. ample parking space. good for family, couples and friends. you can stare at the captive pics in the menu and the display cozily to increase your appetite, while you actually wait for your order.

taste buddies: i am sure no body ll regret any order except the shakes and drinks. we started off with the mighty european fondue, which made us swim in the world of chocolate. your taste buds ll crave for the chocolate dip especially when you feel the crepe pieces melt and descend to your tummy. macarons were cloyingly sweet. after fondue, we conquered the brooklyn bridge. the chocolate suspensions were ravened within seconds. great combination with the delicious ice creams. the mango sorbet was nothing but a high priced maaza.

conspectus : if you are looking to spend extra bucks ( i mean extraaaa) for premium imported desserts,haagendazs is the place. it is tremendously expensive but yeah once in a life time, you can spend that for an exotic ice cream feast :)

having eaten athaagendazs restaurants across the world, i long wanted to try this place. everything was the same taste-wise as it would be abroad. salted caramel remains one ofhaagendazs' best flavours. their crepe is excellent too.

haagen dazs is an international ice cream brand. they are very expensive as they only import ice creams. so i always wanted to try this legendary ice cream brand. finally we made it. we were the only customers to them; it was 12:15am. yea while all the shops were closed in knk, nungambakkam.haagendazs was alone open. so we quickly parked the car and went in.

we had a scoop of choco midnight cookie ice cream with cone chip as topping and real belgium hot chocolate. the one scoop was medium sized and not very small. it was bigger than what i expected and the cone chips can be named as sides instead of toppings. one the other hand the hot chocolate was served along with choco fudge. there was cream on top of it. the hot chocolate was good and easily one of the best hot chocolates i have had in the 20years. i had to order choco midnight cookie flavor in ice cream because all the others were done. this didn’t taste bad. but i wanted to try the belgium chocolate. on my next visit i will be trying it along with the platter. people talk great about their platters.

ambience, since the restaurant was free it was all ours. we could sit anywhere as we lived. the decoration part is done well and the ambience is too cool. the lighting gives a royal look for the ice cream parlour. the sofas and the cushioned chairs give a comfortable seating. there is the wall poster of bradley cooper who is the brand ambassador ofhaagendazs. also there is a tv which runs their ad in repeat mode.

cost, expensive is the only word i can use. the taxes they put for the ice cream. they say its 175 per scoop but it ends up at 240 per scoop. also the hot chocolate is 395 without tax. they put 20% tax on the whole. this makes them very expensive. this also makeshaagendazs to be visited only one special occasion.

service, they take care of their customers so well. it’s 12+am still they do good service not like other places where in a hurry they push something to their customers. that’s something good about their service.

parking, there is enough parking for cars and bikes in the front space.

my rating would be 4/5. (mainly because of the price they drop down.)

the bestest ice cream that's around anywhere. oh have been a die hard fan ofhaagendazs for many years (even before they were available in india) and i could not resist the temptation to order from their outlet when i saw they have one in chennai. i think our poor little town bangalore isn't that lucky to have an outlet. the order was delayed a little but i had nothing to complain and i'll get to why later. the ice cream was delivered in bags with ice so the ice cream was cold and hadn't melted one bit. ordered their classic chocolate, the duice de leche, and the summer berries and cream. well anyhaagendazs tastes awesome as long as it'shaagendazs. lol. the texture is something you wouldn't get with your average ice cream and every bite (or lick if you prefer it that way) is loaded with flavour. truly the best ice cream. the duice de leche takes the crown though. and oh the delay of the delivery was compensated with 2 chocolate pasties which are out of this world. they are best chocolate pastries i've had so far. overall a memorable experience which i will cherish but also miss till they open up in bangalore :(haagendazs

love this place as there are more dessert places coming up there should be something different and definitely taste better to stay top and this place definitely is by far the best dessert place and it has got all potentiality to stay top.. the ambience could have been more fancy and better it's good though everyone know thehaagendazs taste and the sorbet good too loved this place just a bit expensive as there are some other places close by..which serves same kinda desserts which is relatively cheaper.. a must visit to indulge yourself into creamie whoopie goodness

when it comes to ice cream i preferhaagendazs but recently each time i go they don't have chocolate flavour but their presentation on their best sellers are really eye catching

the besthaagendazs parlour is the one at khader nawaz khan road.
the one at phoneix does nt provide exact taste as such in here.

as a self proclaimed connoisseur of all things ice cream, a trip tohaagendazs in chennai was long overdue.

located in the central foodie district of chennai, aka khader nawaz khan road, the outlet very much lives up to the image of gourmet ice cream dining. emboldened, we ordered the classic fondue for the two of us. we were rather disappointed that we couldn't choose the flavours of the scoops for the fondue, which is generally the case with similar menu items in other places. when it arrived, we faced an even bigger disappointment with the ridiculously small scoop sizes and the incredibly inconvenient vessel in which they were placed, which ensured more ice cream ended up in the space between the plates than in our bellies. the side accouterments to the ice cream were good but nothing to write home about. perhaps this wasn't their strongest dish, but at this level you'd expect every dish make you go gaga over it. especially at the prices charged. sadly  that was not the case.

while there is little doubt that this brand is over-hyped, the taste and variety of ice cream served here does not live up to the hype. i have had tastier and far more exotic flavours at cream & fudge.

if i also consider gealto places like freezilicious & gelato italiano,haagendazs is not even in the same league. if you want good old fashioned ice creams, swensen's does it better. even packaged ice creams like london diary do a better job at making ice creams, when compared tohaagendazs.

so, yeah, this place is way over-priced, especially considering their attitude and poorly trained staff. and, yeah, their coffee is pretty average too.

i wud say its the best place for all chocolate and ice cream lover's.
they hav a pretty big place wid a parking lot and valet service.
the creativity and innovative ideas in their presentation and deserts is wat makeshaagendazs the best.
i've tried almost 50% of their menu and i'm happy they have a revised new menu.
the fondues are worth dying for.
the pastries and ice cream flavors can insanely make you go hungry.
the eiffel tower cake and also the other deserts -ice creams and pastry are unique and awesome.
jus love the ambience, interiors and efficient staff and service.

the only drawback for me is the pricing which is on the expensive side making it difficult to order a lot of deserts and so need a big group which i'm so happy cuz i'm blessed wid enuf foodie frnds who also love to order different varieties and yes so it makes it not so difficult on d pocket;);)

this is my goto waffle place. the ice creams are good but the place is pricey for what it offers. sandwiched between two premium ice cream parlours, the competition is a quite high, buthaagendazs has its own crowd since the brand is quite established internationally. but definitely good ice creams overall. the hazelnut biscotti , the chocolates, the brittles and the strawberries cheesecakes are a must try. it's tue perfect night out desert experience .

i don't have much of a sweet tooth buthaagendazs has definitely won me over!

their impeccably smooth and rich ice cream is to die for. even though it is a bit of a splurge i would highly recommend it to everyone. in fact i've been singing praises about this place since forever. 

if their ice cream fails to impress you ( which is highly unlikely) their signature creations will blow your mind away. i've only had their european fondue so far and have an entire menu to cover, which i will. nevertheless the fondue literally gave me a foodgasm and i am extremely critical when it comes to gastronomy. the ambience is also pleasantly cozy and inviting.

can't wait to head over there and checkout the rest of their signature creations.

if you want to have dessert thenhaagendazs is the right place.they serve mouth watering desserts.. the place has good ambience with good service. you get various kinds of dessert. but i find the cost little expensive otherwise it's a really nice place
