despite being a die hard ice cream lover, and despite the monthly ice cream ritual, i step intohaagendazs only on special occasions. it’s not got to do with how expensive the ice creams are but for the finest quality of ice creams, i’ve tasted. when you need to celebrate a special occasion and you crave for an ice cream, now you know where you should head to!

for me, there are two types of ice creams - the chocolate ones and the non-chocolate ones. though i try to give the other flavors a chance, my ice cream ritual isn’t complete unless there is a minimum of one scoop of chocolate ice cream in my sundae. what more do you need than the best belgian chocolate ice cream and waffles in the city, to celebrate something special!

last month, my husband and i went tohaagendazs on our anniversary. after a heavy meal, i settled for a belgian chocolate sundae (single scoop) with some chocolate, raspberry sauce, fudge cookies and whipped cream. my husband opted for thehaagendazs (cookies and cream) crunch with cookies, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. both our desserts were amazing. the richness of the chocolate and the cookies ice cream was fantastic. we relished every spoon of the ice cream and wished it would never end.

i’ve been tohaagendazs a couple of times before and i’m already wondering which occasion i should be spending there next!

i can't seem to find thehaagendazs which opened at neelangarai on the ecr. my experience was very bad looks like the store is new and i ordered a sundae and they had some ingredients missing so they decided to experiment added some replacement ingredients and served. the taste was pathetic but i can't say the same about the cost. this is a global brand and my fav while outside india but here it looks like the company is not maintaining the same standards at all their outlets only the pricing seems consistent.

it was our anniversary eve, so after a coffee at starbucks, dinner at maplai n cream centre we wanna make it more memorable with a good desert spot.yaay hàagen dazs was our choice, regarding parking there was no issues.ambience was good with subtle lights,the service was courteous and they really helped out what we want.ya coming to the ice creams,they were treat to our eyes and to taste buds too, my husband wants to select ice creams with waffles,so they suggested belgian waffle dream,with two scoops of dulce de leche and praline cream both were delicious and melts in the mouth ,feels heaven with the taste of the caramel and praline nuts,being an internatinal flavours they maintain their standard.but cost is really high and and you will have a hole in your pocket.will visit only on a special occasion not definetly not a regular desert spot.kugan kannabiran

delicious ! melt in mouth delight icecreams ! icecream wid a flair tat you will not find anywhere buthaagendazs ! i would give it a 5 rating but the price tag puts me off like why would you pay so much for ice cream !

one great thing abouthaagendazs is the quality. but the options you get are very limited and the price is way over the top. spending 1500 bucks on two ice creams is just not really worth it when i can spend the same amount for a month on ibaco. #just saying #definitelyonetime

its always a pleasure to have anhaagendazs ice cream. their macadamia nut is the best in the world, for the first time i tried the hot choclate, my god it was one of the best ive ever had !! worth evry penny jus for the unparalelled tatse of macadamia nut !!

i was disappointed on my recent visit here.haagendazs is a place i go to very often. the ice creams here are truly spectacular and the variety they provide is unparalleled. but considering, it is a place that offers so much, i was disappointing on not having my previous standard of expectations met. i had ordered the eiffel tower, and waffles with vanilla ice cream. while the eiffel tower was spectacular and tasted brilliant. the waffles were bad! they didn't taste well and were very chewy and lacked crisp. the ice cream was of course, fantastic. service could have been better, but the ambience is excellent.

did a try inhaagendazs for a desert and ice cream, it's worth for it. but the price is bit a high here.. if u are the person who love to try for a different ice creams.. then go for it.

we ordered two ice cream creations and the buy 1 get 1 free offer on weekdays was very beneficial. we were two of us plus two toddlers.
we chose the creations unanimously. the first one was paris in chennai i.e. the eiffel tower creation fromhaagendazs. it was as pretty as it looked in the pictures. smaller than what i had expected it to be though. 
absolutely beautiful with the brownie as the base, with chocolate and scoops of ice creams above it, to top with the carved chocolate to create the tower. the shadow effect with cocoa is too good. there's cookie, whipped cream and dark chocolate. so much to devour, though tiny in size. every element was yumm. since we were sharing, it got over quickly. the kids gobbled the chocolates and we had the other elements.
again, it looks huge and there are indeed loads of elements, they are all miniature. there's chocolate semi freddo, belgian chocolate ice cream cupcake and warm belgian hot chocolate. freddo was good, the belgian chocolate ice cream cake took the cake being a cupcake! the warm belgian chocolate too was too good. my friend was more into ice cream, so i had this all for myself. it is a micro cup with quite sweet chocolate, and thicker in consistency than the routine ones. i liked it. 
the total bill was rs 708. rs 545 is the actual cost of the creation. which itself is high. but then that's how it is for the international luxury ice cream brand and i feel that's worth with the quality offered. though i feel the quantity could be a bit more. with the addition of service charge and taxes the total comes to rs 708. if not for the buy one get one scheme, the bill would have been double. well the offer definitely is awesome.

i a big fanhaagendazs .. first time i tried their ice cream in singapore i loved it ... after couple of months when pass through nungambakkam i a saw their outlet on the same weekend plan to visit .. good varieties and excellent taste ...but bit over priced.. for a good stuff price shouldn't be matter as n when i visit chennai i do visit one of their outlets

wanted to visithaagendazs from the day one they were in the city but their price tag was always a concern to me. so when i came across their groupon offer i couldn't resist. i bought the one which was a portion of banana crepes + a scoop of icecream + a coffee for rs. 299.

visited the outlet on a sunny weekend afternoon. the place is very spacious and have a feel good factor to it. interiors is kept minimal with a huge bradley cooper poster (precisely the reason i said feel-good factor)!

i'm sure all of you with a sweet tooth must find this redundant. but this was my first visit tohaagendazs and it was brilliant!

i just ordered a portion of the 'belgian waffle' with extra butterscotch sauce and it was so worth the calories! perfectly soft and crispy waffles with some pralines and cream, some butterscotch ice cream, and a very teeny portion of whipped cream.

haagen dazs is the place to go if you want to indulge in some high end desserts and believe me, you won't regret it even once!

this was one of the most awesome ice-cream experiences in my life! saturday afternoon, after watching the movie- deadpool at ags t.nagar, i forced my cousin brother to accompany me tohaagendazs as i have been dying to taste their icecreams for a long time. although he wasn't in a mood for ice-cream, due to my continuous pestering he finally agreed. reached the mecca of foodies- knk road, within 5mins. located in a complex along with several other showrooms, they have valet parking for cars and ample amount of parking space for bikes as well. that solves the parking tension.

the ambience is decent and appealing to the eyes. place is well maintained and clean, just as one expects in a posh ice-cream parlour. the seatings are very comfortable. service was really good and professional. one con according to me, was that the waiter who waited us was continuously standing near us after handing the menu as if he was in a hurry. although he didn't open his mouth and say anything, i felt like i was being forced to order something soon. i felt like he could have left us alone for atleast 2-3mins after handing the menu for us to speak freely and decide by taking our own time. after reading the whole menu book, we finally decided to order one brooklyn bridge. as i've read in some of the zomato reviews previously in which people state that the quantity is humongous, i was clever enough to order just one for the two of us. and guess what......the quantity was humongous as expected :)

coming to the ice-cream, i can give 5/5 for the presentation. it was so attractive, that we were just sitting and gazing at the ice-cream for nearly five minutes without even touching it!! my brother who was so reluctant in coming here at the beginning, started drooling once he saw the ice-cream :d finally after much hesitation, we removed the chocolate bars at the side and started eating it. with each and every bite, i started transcending to the heavens! never have i tasted such thick-and-soft-at-the-same-time ice-creams. its thick when you scoop it, but just melts as soon as it reaches the mouth. there was one scoop of vanilla, one scoop of chocolate in the middle and finally one scoop of strawberry that actually had strawberry pieces in it! i mean, how often do u get chunks of strawberries in your strawberry ice-cream!! this is the first time i've had strawberry chunks in a strawberry ice-cream. the second layer is a very thin layer of whipped cream and the last layer is super thick ice-cream which looks like cake. it took us more than 45mins for us to finish the whole thing. even though it was a little too sweet for my brother, i found it perfectly perfect in every way i could imagine. can't find anymore words to appreciate the taste!

finally, the bill (which took me to heaven as well :p) was rs.1033. rs. 795 (price of the ice-cream) + rs. 238 (service charge+service tax+vat). i knew the prices before coming but didn't expect the extra charges would be around 30% of the price of the ice-cream. i wouldn't call it a tad expensive, it's extreeeemly expensive! for middle class people like me, i would say this place is only for special occasions. but this place is a must-try for foodies, especially for ice-cream lovers! even though the prices are sky high, this place is worth visiting once in a while. planning to visit the branch in phoenix mall, velachery soon, but definitely only on some special occasion :)

had yesterday night's dessert here.. outlet is on khader nawaz khan road, in the same complex as cascade. has parking for about 3-4 cars. lovely interiors and helpful staff.

was pretty full after a heavy meal so we only got a triple scoop for the family to share. took one scoop of blueberries, one of praline n cream and one of rasberry n strawberry. the last two were really delicious (blue berry was not as good). on par with movenpick ice-creams (taste and price wise). creamy and just the perfect texture (not rock hard and not melted and runny). 

on my wish list are the fondue andhaagendazs crunch. will be back for them shortly !!!!
