this was one of the most awesome ice-cream experiences in my life! saturday afternoon, after watching the movie- deadpool at ags t.nagar, i forced my cousin brother to accompany me to haagen dazs as i have been dying to taste their icecreams for a long time. although he wasn't in a mood for ice-cream, due to my continuous pestering he finally agreed. reached the mecca of foodies- knk road, within 5mins. located in a complex along with several other showrooms, they have valet parking for cars and ample amount of parking space for bikes as well. that solves the parking tension.

the ambience is decent and appealing to the eyes. place is well maintained and clean, just as one expects in a posh ice-cream parlour. the seatings are very comfortable. service was really good and professional. one con according to me, was that the waiter who waited us was continuously standing near us after handing the menu as if he was in a hurry. although he didn't open his mouth and say anything, i felt like i was being forced to order something soon. i felt like he could have left us alone for atleast 2-3mins after handing the menu for us to speak freely and decide by taking our own time. after reading the whole menu book, we finally decided to order one brooklyn bridge. as i've read in some of the zomato reviews previously in which people state that the quantity is humongous, i was clever enough to order just one for the two of us. and guess what......the quantity was humongous as expected :)

coming to the ice-cream, i can give 5/5 for the presentation. it was so attractive, that we were just sitting and gazing at the ice-cream for nearly five minutes without even touching it!! my brother who was so reluctant in coming here at the beginning, started drooling once he saw the ice-cream :d finally after much hesitation, we removed thechocolatebars at the side and started eating it. with each and every bite, i started transcending to the heavens! never have i tasted such thick-and-soft-at-the-same-time ice-creams. its thick when you scoop it, but just melts as soon as it reaches the mouth. there was one scoop of vanilla, one scoop ofchocolatein the middle and finally one scoop of strawberry that actually had strawberry pieces in it! i mean, how often do u get chunks of strawberries in your strawberry ice-cream!! this is the first time i've had strawberry chunks in a strawberry ice-cream. the second layer is a very thin layer of whipped cream and the last layer is super thick ice-cream which looks like cake. it took us more than 45mins for us to finish the whole thing. even though it was a little too sweet for my brother, i found it perfectly perfect in every way i could imagine. can't find anymore words to appreciate the taste!

finally, the bill (which took me to heaven as well :p) was rs.1033. rs. 795 (price of the ice-cream) + rs. 238 (service charge+service tax+vat). i knew the prices before coming but didn't expect the extra charges would be around 30% of the price of the ice-cream. i wouldn't call it a tad expensive, it's extreeeemly expensive! for middle class people like me, i would say this place is only for special occasions. but this place is a must-try for foodies, especially for ice-cream lovers! even though the prices are sky high, this place is worth visiting once in a while. planning to visit the branch in phoenix mall, velachery soon, but definitely only on some special occasion :)

have been visiting the place ever since it started. the reason is not just the brand name, but the flavours, the ingredients & the presentation. although the quality & the plating doesn't let u down each time you are here, its the ambience & the team of people which disappoints you day after day. at times the air conditioning is either switched off for cost cutting or the people serving you are not aware of what it is in the menu. the tables are left soiled at times or the flooring beneath is left unattended after a family with children have used it.

leaving all this aside, their falooda's are worth trying, the raspberry sorbet is a must try for sorbet lovers, belgianchocolateis heavenly & for the non- ice cream lovers, do try their cappuccino. its flavoursome, served hot along with some choco chip cookies (actually very yummy!)...

located right in the beginning of khader nawaz khan road, i'm a regular here for their mouth watering ice cream delicacies. if you are an ice cream devotee and would do anything to have an amazing ice cream experience, you can never miss out this place.
let me tell the drawback, as there is only one. they are heavily priced. like really heavily priced and people would opt for other places to get cheaper ones. but believe me, this place takes you to another world altogether with their awesome renditions.
now coming to their menu, they have a wide range to choose from. starting from fondue to waffles, they have everything that pleases an ice cream craver.
my personal favorites will be the classic fondue that has an assortment of ice cream scoops, darkchocolatedip and other sides. next is definitely the eiffel tower, if you are a belgianchocolatefreak, this one's for you, with cream and cookies! banana split and seventh heaven comes next in my list and you should definitely try them! they have a number of scoops you can choose from and the belgian waffles with maple syrup will surely make it to my list of favorites!!
the staffs are super friendly and give you a warm feeling throughout your stay here. this is an absolute must visit for you guys if you can't stay away from ice creams like me!! :p ( chuck the diet :d )

it was weekend, my wife and i wanted to taste good ice cream, we were in nugambakkam,  we went pass by haagen daz and so we stopped by this place to check it out, they have amazing interiors we wanted to try something simple as it was our first time and we wanted to take away.
we tried two different flavors belgianchocolateis a must try and a scoop of coffee. 
we just loved it ...we would be back for more  for sure, although this place is on the expensive side ...:-)

ambiance : this amazing dessert world is there right in the entrance of khader nawaz khan road, nungambakkam which houses lot other restaurants. ample parking space. good for family, couples and friends. you can stare at the captive pics in the menu and the display cozily to increase your appetite, while you actually wait for your order.

taste buddies: i am sure no body ll regret any order except the shakes and drinks. we started off with the mighty european fondue, which made us swim in the world of chocolate. your taste buds ll crave for thechocolatedip especially when you feel the crepe pieces melt and descend to your tummy. macarons were cloyingly sweet. after fondue, we conquered the brooklyn bridge. thechocolatesuspensions were ravened within seconds. great combination with the delicious ice creams. the mango sorbet was nothing but a high priced maaza.

conspectus : if you are looking to spend extra bucks ( i mean extraaaa) for premium imported desserts, haagen dazs is the place. it is tremendously expensive but yeah once in a life time, you can spend that for an exotic ice cream feast :)

considering this is sitting in right in front of knk road and with the brand being well established, would expect the overall experience to be much more than just icecreams !.for me -  this place is little over priced, average quality and the staff's knowledge of the dessert palette is below average !in my recent visit (the second one in last 6 months) with my family, have ordered belgian waffle dream &chocolatetasting journey along with some shakes !.on the waffle, it is sub-par quality and something serious missing on that and was it chill or i was dreaming !!on the journey, belgian hot choclate was not there, so, the guy suggested to pick something from classic flavors menu and what i got is a simple warm - powder based drink !. was it not supposed to be an extract & hot ?.and yes - someone in the group asked for hot cookie with a scoop of icecream (ref - pizza hut's hot cookie dough !) and what we got is 2 cookies from shelf and a scoop. how i wish - the staff are well informed on the products and variations.hope - it was a bad day with right staff not in place and may be it is because, we were at the closing time of the day. but then, with brand comes the expectations - be it first or last customer !.

haagen dazs is an international ice cream brand. they are very expensive as they only import ice creams. so i always wanted to try this legendary ice cream brand. finally we made it. we were the only customers to them; it was 12:15am. yea while all the shops were closed in knk, nungambakkam. haagen dazs was alone open. so we quickly parked the car and went in.

we had a scoop of choco midnight cookie ice cream with cone chip as topping and real belgium hot chocolate. the one scoop was medium sized and not very small. it was bigger than what i expected and the cone chips can be named as sides instead of toppings. one the other hand the hotchocolatewas served along with choco fudge. there was cream on top of it. the hotchocolatewas good and easily one of the best hot chocolates i have had in the 20years. i had to order choco midnight cookie flavor in ice cream because all the others were done. this didn’t taste bad. but i wanted to try the belgium chocolate. on my next visit i will be trying it along with the platter. people talk great about their platters.

ambience, since the restaurant was free it was all ours. we could sit anywhere as we lived. the decoration part is done well and the ambience is too cool. the lighting gives a royal look for the ice cream parlour. the sofas and the cushioned chairs give a comfortable seating. there is the wall poster of bradley cooper who is the brand ambassador of haagen dazs. also there is a tv which runs their ad in repeat mode.

cost, expensive is the only word i can use. the taxes they put for the ice cream. they say its 175 per scoop but it ends up at 240 per scoop. also the hotchocolateis 395 without tax. they put 20% tax on the whole. this makes them very expensive. this also makes haagen dazs to be visited only one special occasion.

service, they take care of their customers so well. it’s 12+am still they do good service not like other places where in a hurry they push something to their customers. that’s something good about their service.

parking, there is enough parking for cars and bikes in the front space.

my rating would be 4/5. (mainly because of the price they drop down.)

the bestest ice cream that's around anywhere. oh have been a die hard fan of haagen dazs for many years (even before they were available in india) and i could not resist the temptation to order from their outlet when i saw they have one in chennai. i think our poor little town bangalore isn't that lucky to have an outlet. the order was delayed a little but i had nothing to complain and i'll get to why later. the ice cream was delivered in bags with ice so the ice cream was cold and hadn't melted one bit. ordered their classic chocolate, the duice de leche, and the summer berries and cream. well any haagen dazs tastes awesome as long as it's haagen dazs. lol. the texture is something you wouldn't get with your average ice cream and every bite (or lick if you prefer it that way) is loaded with flavour. truly the best ice cream. the duice de leche takes the crown though. and oh the delay of the delivery was compensated with 2chocolatepasties which are out of this world. they are bestchocolatepastries i've had so far. overall a memorable experience which i will cherish but also miss till they open up in bangalore :( haagen dazs

fabulous place for ice creams,  

visited d place with bunch of besties, the ambience was good and a excellent service, we ordered four varieties  belgian waffle dream , banana caramel crepe , brooklyn bridge , classic fondue, 

the classic fondue was so pleasant and vibrant the presentation was heavenly, the taste were more appealing than the presentation. its a total package that one can ever have fruits in it were fresh and juicy, the ice-creams and cookies were out of the world. yummyyy.

brooklyn bridge was a awesome creation, it was made so delicate,  such a pity to eat away such a well presented dish :-). thechocolateand strawberry ice cream had  a wonderful flavour to it with the mango sauce and strawberries . it was punchy and one of the best dessert i have had so far.

belgian waffle dream : the ice cream with the waffle was pretty amazing, i had my tummy filled out by the fondue, just look a nib of it, there was nothing to complain. 

banana caramel crepe : it was delicious as other dishes, 

haagen-daz is a place where you get the best dessert's in chennai, only concern is the price, which is pretty high.

a day to remember, best way to get high with desserts.

definitely the best ice cream parlour in chennai..
the ambiance is excellent, the service is top notch.
the flavors are what are available internationally..
all their signature dishes are in the 'must try' category especially the fondue...

the pricing of course is extremely high...but this is an indulgence that must be experienced !!!

the only grouse i have of late is that my favorite flavors seem to be out of stock just too often (i guess lot more people like the same flavors)

when it comes to ice cream i prefer haagen dazs but recently each time i go they don't havechocolateflavour but their presentation on their best sellers are really eye catching

haagen dazs has reaaaaaally lost its quality. it was a great ice cream parlour when it started. now it's just over priced and the quality has also dropped. the sundaes are good. i tried thechocolatefondue which was simply delicious. the big european fondue that is. then i also tried the eiffel tower structure icecream. it tastes wry mediocre and didn't look as appealing as it did in the catalogue.

okay this is not my favourite ice cream parlour . my family and myself ordered a flower blossom . it was almost six flavours in which the coffee andchocolatewere my favourite . this is an exclusive ice cream parlour and hence quite expensive . they have the best ambience for an ice cream parlour 😁

everyone knows this is the best ice cream center. but the rating is less this time, just because. today, they did not have anychocolateflavor ice creams and didn't have hotchocolatedrink too. that's their signature. disappointment today. i should have chosen amadora, they never run out of stock.
and today the quality of food was so bad that half my family are down with bad stomach.
not the standard of haagendas at all.

one of the best ice creams i ever had....before visiting the cafe i thought the menu they have displayed is just a dream...its too fancy to find in india, but to my surprise what i ordered looked exactly the same. the service was also good. the ice creams are at a higher end, but u will get what you are paying for. the only thing i did not like was they did not have the most of thechocolateand coffee flavor available during my visit.

overall this place is a must visit place for all ice cream lovers!!!
