h & m pizza & giant grinder

ordered alargemediterranean pizza and the crust was so soggy it was inedible. lots of salty mozzarella, and a good amount of veggies, but the thick crust was a soggy, wet mess. we scraped the toppings off and ate those and threw the crust out. this was alargepizza and it was not cheap. what a waste of time and money. travelers beware, this is not the spot to get your pizza when passing through windsor locks.

12-27-2012 great pizza. i think the meat combo pizza was better than our usual pizza place; a much more substantial pizza. the crust was crispy and flavorful and the meats were very tasty. the cost for alargewas a few dollars more than we're used to paying but well worth the price. my partner wants to try it again before he makes his decision. we get take out a couple of times per week and i look forward to trying some of the other items on the menu. i was told by the dreamy eyed guys behind the counter that they'll be printing up a new and expanded menu at the end of january.

takes me back to long island feasts. for some reason i have had a hankering for grinders recently; espeically sausage & peppers and/or meatball and/or veal parm. i have tried many in hartford, bloomfield and west hartford, none of which were what my memory sought. then a friend brought me here. they have been here for years, and i did not look to see howlargethe full size grinders were. i was stunned first at the size... huge! but the taste? amazing. each was what i was looking for. the meatballs are just spicy enough, the veai and sauce were great and the sausage.. the first feal sausage links that tasted as if they had just come off the giant grill at some feast of the assumption fair. these are the best grinders i have had in years! (i am officially addicted and even drive from west hartford up to windsor locks on some weekends to get these!)
