h & m pizza & giant grinder

ordered a large mediterranean pizza and the crust was so soggy it was inedible. lots of salty mozzarella, and a good amount of veggies, but the thick crust was a soggy, wet mess. we scraped the toppings off and ate those and threw the crust out. this was a large pizza and it was not cheap. what a waste of time and money. travelers beware, this is not the spot to get your pizza when passing through windsor locks.

stopped here after landing st bradley. had the buffalo chicken pizza, french fries, onion rings, and boneless buffalo chicken wings. everything was great. super nice people working there - great service.

i have been going here when in the area for years. this is one of the best grinder shops in the state, hands down. you cannot go wrong! everything is delicious. they certainly do not scrimp on the meat. fantastic. try it.

no better pizza or grinder in the state, well, the country for that matter

below average. this place used to be awesome. not anymore. we got 6 half grinders. none were very good. the pastrami was dry. so was the cheeseburger grinder. they raised their prices now too. roast beef was very plain.

the italian was good tho.

we wont be getting food from there again. its a shame cuz i remember this place being very good.

wonderful. this place has the best grinders in ct, loaded with quality meats,served on fresh bread everytime...my favorite is the roast beef,and of course you have to get all the toppings,roasted peppers,tomato,and lettuce...my family has been getting grinders from here since i can remember.....my dad introduced me when i was a kid....it's now a great place i share with my son..love it!

can't treat the customer right. the last, and i mean last time i ordered pizza i was greeted on the phone and when i got there with a superior attitude and not even a thank you. forget it guys,i don't need to pay higher prices for a cheaper product and to boot put up with arrogance, good luck with your new establishment that mo built from the ground up, only to have a bunch of kids throw it away.

gargantuan.... i saved the best for last on my brief trip to connecticut. i could not leave the state without having my beloved veal parm grinder. this place was recommended by the staff at my hotel, and boy were they right. the "whole" sandwich that i ordered was $14, but fergoodnessakes it was enough for a family of four. but i'm solo, so i have plenty for breakfast. they did such a nice job, i went back and got a "half" pastrami and swiss for my layovers on the way back west. yeeeeup. that good. i love/hate you connecticut. these mom and pop pizza/grinder joints are everywhere here...

12-27-2012 great pizza. i think the meat combo pizza was better than our usual pizza place; a much more substantial pizza. the crust was crispy and flavorful and the meats were very tasty. the cost for a large was a few dollars more than we're used to paying but well worth the price. my partner wants to try it again before he makes his decision. we get take out a couple of times per week and i look forward to trying some of the other items on the menu. i was told by the dreamy eyed guys behind the counter that they'll be printing up a new and expanded menu at the end of january.

quality. i've known mo for over 30 years now, and if i want a pizza, where do i go? i travel 30 minutes for his. my dad is 90 years old, and he doesn't want any other pizza, nor does he want a grinder from anywhere else.

and his cold cuts, omg so good and such a great price.. this place is great, if not i wouldn't be a customer for 30 years or more.

can't find a better pizza, or a better grinder, i don't care where you go.. # 1 in my book..

it's ok. my wife and i have eaten their once. we were looking for a quick bite to eat and decided to order the food and wait for it to go. we waited inside and found the place was like a furnace. i can't imagine what the kitchen staff was going through being by the oven/grill. the food was ok, i would eat their again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

great place!!. h & m has never let me down. everything is always great. selections include all your typical italian sandwich shop fare. if you are in the area, stop by, you won't be disappointed

great place if you've just moved into the neighborhood.. brand new to the town of windsor locks, i was looking for a good place to get grinders. h&m was just the place i was looking for. great portions, great taste, great price. i only wish that the decor was updated a little bit. but hey, when the food is this good, you can let something like that pass.

takes me back to long island feasts. for some reason i have had a hankering for grinders recently; espeically sausage & peppers and/or meatball and/or veal parm. i have tried many in hartford, bloomfield and west hartford, none of which were what my memory sought. then a friend brought me here. they have been here for years, and i did not look to see how large the full size grinders were. i was stunned first at the size... huge! but the taste? amazing. each was what i was looking for. the meatballs are just spicy enough, the veai and sauce were great and the sausage.. the first feal sausage links that tasted as if they had just come off the giant grill at some feast of the assumption fair. these are the best grinders i have had in years! (i am officially addicted and even drive from west hartford up to windsor locks on some weekends to get these!)

great sub. try the cheeseburg grinder...........very good
