gyro house

this is a great place to have a gyro. a note though, the gyros are huge!!!!!!! the food is fantastic my go to is the iskandar plate. this place has great food and the waiters can be pretty fun if you get a good one. grest place to go and eat.

this restaurant is in a small strip mall, next to a coffee shop, bar, and a fuel station. don't let that deter you from entering, however. the gyros are amazing and they provide an exceptional amount of meat. the greek salad with chicken shwarma is very tasty, with the yogurt sauce on the side. the chicken is always moist and very flavorful. 

gyro house loses a full star, and probably should be one and a half, because of the wait required. even when ordering ahead, plan to spend too much time waiting for food. sometimes they seem to not start the order promptly and others they will leave on the counter until you bother them. their "eat in" orders do not take nearly as long. either spend the time in the restaurant or show up expecting to have a bit of a rest.

we've been going to the gyro house almost since the day they opened their doors years ago, and it is still one of our favorite (if not the favorite) place to eat in hillsboro. everything is a-mazing. i'm always so impressed with the wait-staff: service is fast even when they are slamming busy, which happens on a regular basis. the gyros are crazy huge and seasoned perfectly. (if you love garlic, be sure and order yours with the spicy garlic sauce - so good.) the chicken shawarma, while not prepared as traditionally as i'd like, is nevertheless savory and absolutely one of the best in the portland area. i don't hand out 5's on zomato often, but this one is well-deserved: i'd give this place a 6 if i could.

amazing!!! the lamb 😍😍. i am defiantly coming back soon. the deserts are even amazing! kabobs are amazing and gyro is also very tasty. i would defiantly recommend this. family friendly restaurant.

eastside opening?. i have been a customer at your fabulous restaurant, even though it is a drive for me, it has been well worth it! so, i am super excited to see that you are working to open on the east side at 82nd and holgate. i keep checking to see if the work is done, and that you are open. not yet! so, when can i come to your opening day, and establish myself as a regular?!

craig. awesome place to eat. great mediteranean flavors. large portions for the price. nice décor, friendly staff and prompt service. try the hummis even if you don't think you will like it, give it a try with fresh warm pita bread...awesome

delicious gyros the size of your head. awesome pita and the 'fries' are yummy but we like more flavor in our hummus. overall, a gem, especially for hillsboro!!!

fantastic. the gyro house is one of our favorite places to eat. the gyros and the pizzas and the isjkender plate is out of this world.

my parents were in vancouver, washington for a day trip. in the evening, instead of driving north towards home, they drove south into oregon all the way to the gyro house for dinner. that's 30 minutes (one way) out of their way to go specifically to this restaurant!

as always, the staff was friendly and welcoming. this place is the go to restaurant if you are even remotely near it!

great food, great people. as young newlyweds, we've been trying to stick to our monthly budget, eating at home as much as possible and finding good, inexpensive restaurants for specials occasions. with that in mind, this place is so great that we went back twice in one week.

the gyro house has amazing gyros, overflowingly stuffed with delicious gyro meat and other tasty morsels... those gyros are a great meal by themselves. gluttons for delicious things, 4 people split the large fries (about $4, so only a dollar more per person) and we were soooo full after the gyros and fries. i recommend getting the fries with garlic sauce and feta (for a very small nominal fee).

the people there make the place even better. my retired parents travel quite a bit and love to learn about new cultures and history so they asked the restaurant people a lot of questions. they were all very friendly and willing to share their backgrounds and answer questions about all the very cool photographs that decorate the place. definitely a place worth coming back for many times over!!!

this is by far some of the best mediterranean food i've had. and great service to boot. friendly attentive staff with a gyro that is second to none... the spicy garlic sauce is a go to on a gyro... love it

best gryo place around. this place is the best gryo place around, they just added a fire brick oven so now they make there pitta bread from scratch and they added pizza's (with a mediterranean twist) to there menu which are freaking awesome.

unbelievably delicious. the best hummus ever. the best tabouli ever. the best falafel ever. and everything that wasn't the best ever was right up there. highly recommended - you have to make this a regular treat
