best seafood pasta in town!!!. if i could marry one of the chef's at gusto's i would!!!! this place has a nice view of the river, fantastic food and beautifulstafffresh from italy. so i go here once a month and i have a french martini with the linguine allo scoglio and the pear and rocket salad. this meal is so great that i almost have it everytime i go there and now thestaffeven know me and know what i have everytime. thats what you call great service with a smile!! so if you want to try a real italian restaurant thats ran by real italian's then this is the place for you, their english might not be 100% but thats the charming part of trying food from all around the world. enjoy!!

nat and joe's wedding 3-5-14. i would like to take this opportunity to say that the quality of service offered by gusto’s has been highly impressive. every aspect of this service has been beyond reproach and every member ofstaffhas been courteous, polite and reliable.
i can’t remember when i last sent a commendation to a restaurant, but i have just been so impressed that i feel that it’s due. from start to finish your service has been more than excellent. everybody i have dealt with has been friendly, professional and on-the-ball. any problem that cropped up was dealt with immediately. i have had dealings with many hospitality venues, without a doubt gusto’s is outstanding. it has been a pleasure doing business with you.
it is difficult to measure service and such-like, when so many of the transactions are one-off or sporadic, but i have to say that i was left with a feeling that i am the most important person in the world and the only person that has ever had a daughter hold her wedding in your restaurant, it was so special.
you respond promptly and effectively to requests. overall, i am left with the impression of a quality service and a sense of assurance that this aspect of my business is in good hands.

if i am being honest.... this place is not good value. i have gone to this place a few times with my boyfriend, and i have tried really hard to like it however i have decided i probably won't be returning.

the location is obviously fantastic, and the food is good (but not good enough for what you are paying). the sizes of the meals are too small, i still felt hungry after my bowel of gnocci. i would recommend getting a pizza as it is the only thing that will really fill you up.

but most of all, thestaffmembers are all incredibly rude and abrupt. most of them are foreign (italian, im guessing) and after living in italy i understand that europeans have a different manner and can come across as quite rude. but this attitude is not something i am used to in australia. the lady who seated us was extremely abrupt and impatient which really dampens the whole vibe of the place.

over $100 for some dips, bruschetta and a few drinks.. hmm, alsostaffcould ask before taking things away

after paying the bill i went to the restaurants restroom, and as we were leaving one femalestaffmember shouted at us “did you pay the bill?!”. are you kidding me!! is this how you treat customers?! didn’t apologise at all.. never coming back.

had dinner here saturday night it started with the arrogant rudestaffwe waited for 40 minutes for the meals the servings were tiny and definantly not satisfying or worth the money unless you wish to order multiple courses of carbs.

this is my second visit which i was looking forward to, as my first time i was on a post surgery diet.

service is faultless thestaffare ever attentive and the food was out promptly.

food was average unfortunately. i tried 4 different dishes and all were too heavily salted for my taste.

i had the special of the day spaghetti with chilli, garlic and clams. was so great, full of flavour with nice chilli kick. also got kids margarita pizza which was really nice. got the bruschetta which wasn’t very good. bread was soggy.staffwere awesome. will definitely be back.

came here with some family friends on their last night in australia and had a great experience. menu is a little on the expensive side but the portion sizes and food quality is well worth it. 👌🏼thestaffwere wonderful, friendly, and the service was prompt. some of the pasta dishes were a little rich but that’s so be expected. would definitely recommend the lychee-rose martini for anyone who likes rose scented/flavoured things as it was delicious! 🍸 the location is also really nice as it’s huddled among a bunch of other restaurants and looks out onto the brisbane river and the city. i forgot to take a photo of my food but at least i got one of the view enjoy!

found out group of five a table on arrival. a view of the sunset on the brisbane river added to the ambience.staffwere so eager to please and nothing was too much trouble. we ordered table water and decide on our order. wine and garlic focaccia and calamari were shared. our mains were all superb. prawn pasta, linguini frutti de mare, seafood risotto, ravioli with sage butter and a pork pasta. delightful setting and delicious food with reasonable prices made this a wonderful find.

took my wife here for our 5 year anniversary tonight and it was possibly the worst choice i could've made in brisbane. after a long wait to order (with tables arriving after us being tended to first) we proceeded to wait 30 minutes for the worst calamari i have ever had. i'm sure it was frozen as it was extremely dry, definitely not worth $20. we then waited 45 minutes for our main which never came (watching the same tables that arrived after us finish their meals and leave). we even had astaffmember offer us the desert menu?! we chose to leave at this point. when we went to leave the owner/manager asked us if we actually ordered main meals. he proceeded to charge us for our terrible entree and wine (wine was the only good part), nothing comped and an insincere apology. do not go here.

we love this place. fantastic service and brilliant location. we find this restaurant ideal before we see a movie or on special occasions. the pizza is so authentic and there are so many options! i have never been disappointed with the pasta and recently i have started venturing into their meat dishes and have loved the pork with roast veggies as well as the chicken with a mustard sauce on a bed of mash.staffhave always been so friendly and we love the style of this place. we recommend and will continue to come

as a fan of big eats and large portions, as well as high quality foods i'd recommend gianni's 9 times out of 10. very high quality and great menu items, not overly complicated. the only issue i had was i couldn't make my mind up.staffare fantastic, food is fantastic. definite top 5 best italian meals i've had. 100% recommend.

it was an ok experience. my meal was quite nice which was a seafood garlic and basil broth. the other people i was with were quite disappointed with their meals. the prawn salad had frozen prawns which was very disappointing. the pizza was ok and so was steak pasta. the cous cous seafood however was nice. food overall was ok not the best.staffwere a bit rude to.

the antipasto was great but myself and a friend both ordered the seafood linguini and the clam shells were cracked leaving shards of shell in our food. not pleasant when you crunch down on it. just wasn't up to the standard i expect of one of my favourite italian restaurants. thestaffare great
