this review will cover my first & last experience with grub burger. i placed a telephone order for a basic burger with bacon. don’t remember the name but it’s the first burger on the menu. i had them put the special sauce on the side instead of directly on my burger. the person taking my order my seemed nice and attentive even though it was really loud in the background. i arrived approximately 20 min later to pick up my food and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing thisplacelooks on the inside. i saw people in casual wear and men in business suits and everyone looked like they fit. 5 stars for the ambience and decor. now on to my cashier and customer service experience. the young man at the register was nice and even recognized my usaa card and gave me my military discount so i tipped him, which i normally don’t do on to-go orders. pat on the back for him. now on to the very large black man behind the counter....as a black female it is disappointing when i see you acting a fool in public especially at your workplace. i heard him singing a rap song...either about a dough or dope boy. don’t really care to know. but i do suggest to the mgmt that you get this under control. the couple behind me had the mrs. even commenting. i heard her ask her companion, “did he just say dope boy?”
the food:
after seeing the inside of this establishment i had high hopes for this burger....i mean it’s a burgerplaceright!!! when i arrived home i immediately noticed how greasy the burger was. when i took the top bun off, i squeezed the patty to disprove myself and grease dripped on my fingers. i was extremely disappointed. i could only eat half of this burger due to it being so greasy. maybe it was due to the fact that mine was to-go. they did howeverplacemy special sauce on the side like i asked. i’m sad because i really love the look of this place.
do i recommend it???
i say yes. unless someone dies or gets food poisoning you should always try something for yourself. never go off in a few bad reviews. maybe the cooks weren’t following procedures or something tonight i don’t know. if nothing else, you’ll love the atmosphere.
