the way pizza and beer should be served. great pizza, great beer. i stop by every time i'm in the area for first friday.

grinders. it's the bomb...my favorite the bengal tiger pizza. you can't wrong here the best sandwiches and pizza you could ask for. the atmosphere is great and welcoming. thumbs up.

anchovies. please tell your "pizza chefs" that anchovies are not like olives, or pepperoni, or even sausage. please tell them. they don't know it's an accent flavor and on my visit on 3/5/2011 the two slices of pepperoni/anchovy i ordered had like six pieces of anchovy on them. wtf?!?!?! like five too many. the staff looked at me like i was crazy. rookies. please educate your staff.

service as great as the food!. my girlfriend and i are grinders fans... the wings are scrumptious and the pizza is a great deal on sundays! the service was outstanding tonight. our server kept us in her sights, and two others picked up plates and refilled drinks as needed... what a great team! for a sub $20 tab, we were treated as if we were at a 5 star restaurant. bravo!

tater tots on pizza?. gotta try the chili/tater tot pizza just once it was interesting thoroughly enjoyed our visit

its so refreshing to find a place as orginal as grinders! as soon as i walked in i was treated like i had been coming there for years! the food is great, but the staff great and totally entertaining! if your looking for a cookie cutter experience, please head to applebees, if you want to sit back, drink some great beer, eat a great cheese steak, and have a great evening this is the place to be!

chesesteak heaven. best chesesteak i have ever had (have not been to pat's or geno's) fries are great too. we were really dissapionted in the breakfast. they had a really exciting "create your own omelete" menu with an amazing assortment of choices. my daughter ordered shrimp and bacon. after 15 minutes we were informed that they were out of shrimp. no big deal, my daughter is a extreme bacon lover so she ordered double bacon. we had no clue that the bacon was marinaded/cooked in a ton of brown sugar. it wrecked the savory salty pleasure of bacon into a diabetic nightmare that would give you a cavity with a single smell. we told this to our waitress and all she did was rave about how proud they were of the bacon. that's fair. some people, maybe even most people may love it. we just wish we had a clue before we ordered.

try the bengal tiger pizza, it is worth the wait, if you want better service, don't go during the luch hour or during an "event". grinders is really the best food for the buck. i love the atmosphere. the philies are authentic and the best in the region. pizzas are all superb. my favorite spot in kansas city or almost anywhere.

after a disappointing visit to a different restaurant, grinders saved our night. we had pizza and boulevard beers. the pizza had great crust, perfect amount of sauce and cheese, and overall was delicious. the beer was cold and tasty. a trip to grinders is highly recommended.

grinders is in the heart of the crossroads district and proves to pack some serious cures for those food cravings. i tried to visit grinders earlier this year,

grinder baby !. i lived in kansas city nearly 9 years and this was my favorite local place ! you are not a local until you have had a grinder !

philly was not exceptional nor great. meat bland cheese not fully melted.

not impressed. i ate here once, so maybe not giving it a fair shot. i had a grinder(the philly-loaded). i felt like i could've gotten something just as good at subway or quizno's for 1/2 the price. i did have a $2.00 mimosa which was decent.

pedestrian. went here for lunch while visiting family in the city. we ordered, and then waited over an hour for our sandwiches. the food was pedestrian and not really worth the wait.

the venue outside looked great for music events and such, it may be a much better location for that type of experience.
