don't expect a table. my wife and i went there for a evening dinner this past friday night. we arrived an hour and a half before closing time and was turned away at the door as they were not sitting any more persons for the evening. really??? there was nobody in the waiting area and only about two-three persons listed on the waiting list. in 15 years of traveling throughout the us i have never been turned away from a restaurant. wow!!! i was appalled, shocked and downright frustrated with the lack of business practices. i will not even entertain the thought of spending my hard earned money at this establishment.

very bland. ate here last night. the wait was about 30 minutes which wasn't too bad since they had only recently opened. was served chips and salsa while we waited - nice touch. simple menu but several choices. i had the homestyle enchiladas. not so homestyle. i asked for green chili sauce on top with a side of red chili sauce. it came topped with red chili sauce and no green chili at all. wasn't going to send it back as i was now starving. very bland, other than the sauce that was hot. refried beans had no flavor at all, and the rice was mushy and had no flavor at all. i had to salt everything, and i never do that. we also got a bowl of queso, which turned out to be what resembled watered down cheese sauce. the service was okay.....a little chaotic. finished off dinner with the green chili apple pie. it was okay but not all that tasty. all in all - - not somewhere i will opt to go again. nothing special by any means.

bad experience. really nice ads in the paper and on tv. so!! excited for some green chille apple pie.........but...don't bother with these folks!!! unless you have some inside information as to when they have food and drink....we don't know.????..we are from okc..we called, they said 45 minute wait, open to 9:00, we came at 7:55 pm sat. jan 19. 2013. the gal who was designated as the bearer of bad news said they were all out of food or drink....wow...lol...we left and went to the texmex joint across the street. there, as we stood in a long line, the first leaving customer said they had come from the green chille kitchen, and experienced the same thing,...hmmm..so,.. after about 10 minutes of leaving our name and waiting, and the current mexican resauran experiencing good business due to the folks across the road,... we just left the yukon restuarant business district, probably forever. the rest of the evening wasn't a good one. it was too late.

hey guys,.. this just all a part of dining and learning. somebody has to take the hits before we figure out where the good places are. good luck out there.

umm umm good. we have enjoyed lunch and dinner at green chili kitchen route 66 several times.. each time there was a little wait time.we enjoyed the wait as we enjoy visiting. the food is just great. our favs are the green chili stew, chicken enchilda and the tamales so fresh and so good. each time we have found the staff to be very kind and pleasant. they work very hard to insure the guest have good food and a great dining experience. it just leaves me with an old fashion ,back home, warm feeling. problems that appear only inspire improvement and i am sure the owners will continue to strive to improve. we love the green chili route 66 and will dine there again.

i liked it, had the green chilie quasadillas - delicious and different. i will be back but there are some changes that need to be made..... 11:45am thursday - no chips and salsa (being made??) waited 30 minutes to be served...on the meantime people came in after us were served first as more servers and kitchen help were obviously called in. maybe need some additional training. this place is too good to fail for lack of organization

green chile kitchen-don't bother. was really looking forward to trying this restaurant after reading several favorable reviews in area papers. bottom line--don't waste your time or money. the service was below average, food was ice cold when it arrived at the table, everything was bland in taste and the pie that is supposed to be their claim to fame was average at best. we know our santa fe style cooking quite well and this was not close in any way, shape or form. will not return. sorry.

my husband and i decided to give it a try after reading dave carney's review in the oklahoman. i have to be honest. we were not impressed. the decor is very nice, but the food and the service were lacking the night we visited. chips and salsa (so so) were delivered to our table quickly, but we waited several minutes for our waiter to take our drink orders. then we waited several more minutes before our drinks arrived. needless to say we were very thirsty by that time. several minutes after we ordered our meal the waiter came by to say they were out of the item my husband ordered. he made a substitution and our food came shortly after; but it was lukewarm at best. neither of us finished our plates. we much prefer cantina laredo at penn square. we love mexican food and have been to new mexico dozens of times. sorry, green chile kitchen, you need to step up your game. we will probably not be back.

disappointed trip. food was relatively good, got the smothered burrito. i mentioned at the beginning of the meal i was going to get the green chile apple pie. when we got our food, i asked when i can order the pie, the waitress told me she can get it for me as i finish my food, i thought, ok. at the end of the meal, they were out of the pie. she said she just saw they had some and now they are out. i bit annoyed because i went there just for that. as far as new mexican chile, chuys is better. i was born and raised in new mexico. i'm not sure if ill go again... it was good, nothing more then all the other places offer. limited selection, had all the regular menu items you'll find somewhere else. definitely not worth driving too far for...

made it there before the lunchtime rush. i had the chicken posole and my husband had the flat beef enchiladas. we were pleased with the food. quite surprised about previous negative comments on the service. ours could not have been better. we will go back!

very average. food lukewarm, bland, and presentation is uninspired (spooned onto your plate - no garnish). was charged for margaritas twice - at the bar and on the table tab ! not the new mexico cuisine i am accustomed to !

yukon's best, watch out okc teds. i have lived in oklahoma for 17 years. and have had my share of southwest/mexican fare. this place in my opinion beat ted e's, and has all of the restaurants in yukon, ok beat. this is not a fast food or fast service chain, and im sure its because they have one great chef. everything was fresh homemade, and the best greenchile i have ever had.

disappointing service they have issues to work out. we dined at this restaraunt for lunch we started with the posole which was great and the best part of the meal. when my entree came out it was cold and bland and the service was terrible. i had to track down our server to have my entree reheated. after eating a portion of the etree we decided to chalk it up to a bad experience. once again i had to track down our server for a check with no apology for the cold entree.. before posting about our experience i called the manager darren and was told they have only been open for 2 months and bad reviews on this website was due to customers' that only complain aoutt local "mom and pop restaurants" and not chains and then abruptly hung up before addressing my concerns. we will not be back..

i grew up in new mexico and was so excited to have a new mexico- style eatery open close to me. the food reminded me of my childhood and satisfied the green and red chile fiend living deep in my soul. the food was great! carne adovada, green chile stew and " christmas " sauce ( red & green) was really tasty, and i loved the fiesta ware dishes. you should try it out

the food is bland. the steak in my burrito was tough. the salsa was good. i don't understand why the servers don't check on you more often. the place isn't that big.
