peanut butter pie is great, service is too fast. the two of us went here on a thursday night recently. it was nearing the end of a picture perfect april day with warm temperatures and blue skies. it was almost nice enough to eat outside, but we decided to eat inside instead.
first, let's talk about the service. our server was friendly and took care of us well. however, after she delivered our entrees, she made several visits that were too close together in time. we felt that she was in a rush to get our table clear. this confused us because the restaurant had empty tables for the entire time that we were there. it was filling up, but it wasn't at capacity yet.
next, let's talk about the food. i got the flat chicken enchiladas with hotgreenchile sauce. wow, that sauce was spicy! it's about the same level of spiciness as what you would find in a store-bought bottle of "hot" salsa. i was glad to have some cheese inside the enchilada to help cool down my mouth. the chicken inside was clearly 100% tender, white meat. my side of refried beans was quite good. the side of rice was not much better or worse than rice at other mexican or tex-mex restaurants. the pico de gallo was also not remarkable.
she got the 1/2 chicken withgreenchile mashed potatoes and a house salad. she said that the salad was good but that the potatoes were only okay -- not muchgreenchile flavor in them. the same was said of hergreenchile lemonade. she thought it had more lime juice thangreenchiles in it.
for dessert, we shared a piece of their chocolate peanut butter pie. i loved it. you get a rich peanut butter filling in a chocolate cookie crust with chopped peanuts and whipped cream on top. i like more peanut butter than chocolate in a chocolate peanut butter pie, so this was fantastic.

great decor, pretty good food. first, the food was pretty good. i went here for lunch on a friday with a friend. both of our meals were served hot and the presentation on the plate was attractive. i got the lunch special with pork stew and a mixed greens salad with thegreenchile buttermilk dressing. the pork stew is simple -- little chunks of pork in a sea ofgreenchiles and a potato chunk here and there. the flour tortilla that comes with it is good for soaking up the broth. the salad was crisp and fresh tasting. there was just enough dressing in the serving cup to make the salad taste good without overwhelming it.
the service was better than some other urbanspoon reviewers have experienced. the only bad thing that happened is that when my bowl of pork stew was delivered to my table, it was quite full of stew. when the server put it in front of me, some of the broth spilled out onto my pants. he immediately went back to the kitchen, came back with a wet cloth, soaked up the broth, and offered his apologies. fortunately, i was not wearing particularly nice pants or pants that are difficult to clean. afterwards, our server struck a balance between asking how we were doing and not overwhelming us with questions.
it's worth another try for the posole to see how it compares with others i have eaten. however, as another reviewer said, i don't think i am going to make a special trip to yukon just to have a second visit.
