wonderful family runrestaurantthat has amazing food and excellent service. my daughter and i were walk in diners on a friday night and were given the god father table :) we were made to feel at home and enjoyed a beautiful 3 course meal cooked to perfection, i even enjoyed a white recommended by the owner. lovely! you will not be disappointed.

real italian food. went there yesterday with friends. wonderful gnocchi and chocolate dessert. fantastic.restauranthas a nice flair and service is how it should be :)
will go there again!

the service is excellent, the vibes are great! the food was very good except one item which is the main course item :/ and we ordered it after a recommendation from the crew, so we were really excited for it, but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing, the crustacean was overcooked and dry!
as we started with a tasty wine and that special gamberi, we felt disappointed when the main course served with less quality.. as i keen to try the other items on the menu, i ask the chef to draw more attention to the seafood platters:)

some of the best authentic italian food served in brisbane without a doubt. as this was our first experience at grappinos, we look forward to more visits to taste the rest of the menu.

brisbane's biggest asset. grappinos is my all time favoriterestaurantthe food and service here is exceptional. i have never been disappointed with a meal in my life here. if you come here you must try the tasting platter for entree it is out of this world.

delicious italian food in a comfortable setting. staff were friendly and professional, we were a group of four and each loved everything about grappino.

very overrated. not so traditional italian with very average service. whilst others loved the snails and they did look good, they made a very poor attempt at al funghi with "white truffles" by using truffle oil! the lamb stew bruschetta my children could make with more texture and flavor.

the owners might think that their gruffness is appealing but with so many other restaurants going broke you'd think they'd try a little harder! wine choice also very limited. they have nothing on the traditional italian trattorias in italy with respect to flavor (although the service is as rude as a busyrestaurantin florence!).

light, tasty and delicious. made a last minute reservation on a night the broncos were playing at suncorp stadium, which is just down the road. while it could have been a disaster it wasn't. the service was very friendly and professional - therestaurantwas probably 60% full at all times, with quite a regular turnover of patrons, but our 2 waitresses, and from what i could see the other few waitresses, were always attentive and competent. the food was presented simply, was light and tasty. the are some of the old traditional pasta dishes and i had the lasagna, for old times sake. it was delicious. almost as good as my mothers. we went the full hog and had three courses each, something we rarely do. because each dish was so well executed and the ingredients so fresh and tasty, we came out of there a little full but not feeling sick. my only negative would be it seemed to take a while for the meals to come out - but maybe that's why we were able to eat so much! this is a greatrestaurantthat has stood the test of time and shouldn't be missed.

anne. on a whim i went to grappino last night with my husband and we loved it. the food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive and something that does not happen enough these days - therestaurantwas clean. i very rarely eat desert but because the food was so good and the deserts sounded as good i ordered the orange crepes - they were to die for. the bitterness against the vanilla ice cream was perfect. we will be back.

great food! great atmosphere! the serving sizes were a little small for the amount we paid but the flavour and quality of the food more than compensated for it. would recommend thisrestaurantto anyone who is after a fancy italian dining experience.

we arrived on a busy friday night to find our table wedged into a stuffy, claustrophobic corner. so tight that our friends couldn't stand up to greet us. the room was full and overheated - so noisy.
in a moment of brilliance we asked to be moved outside - no problem. the night was saved! they provide heaters but it was a mild evening so no need. service was efficient and friendly. the sidewalk was quieter and more intimate than inside.
the menu is typical of a suburban italianrestaurant- no surprises. i also don't think the owners are actually italian? it's just slightly off the mark.
all declared their meals delicious- portions not overly generous. my veal scallopini in marsala was tender but the sauce overpowering and way too much of it. wine list is good. dessert options predictable and disappointing. coffee was hot, strong, good.
we had a good night, company etc made it for us. probably won't go back but recommend you try it for yourself and decide.

repeat offender. my husband & i always go here for speical occasions & with friends.
we cannot go to any othere italianrestaurantnow, whenever we do we are sadly dissappointed & then always say 'why' we should only ever go to grappino's ! ..
- service is excellent/very attentive.
- the owners always greet us with a "ah your back" welcome.
- veal masala to die for & the gorgonzola
cheese soufflé is amazing !!

almost better than mama's. coming from an italian background, eating out italian is not generally on the menu, but this is one italianrestaurantthat is hard to go past, the food is exceptional and the service just as good. we have been for dinner twice and have left both times feeling completely satisfied. great selection of italian wines which compliment all the meals served.

fantastic. grappino is by far one of the bestrestauranti've dined in for a long time. highly recommended with excellent service & quality of food. very nice atmosphere and dishes presented very well. will return again very soon. i rate it 9/10
