grappino trattoria italian restaurant

wonderful family run restaurant that has amazing food and excellent service. my daughter and i were walk in diners on a friday night and were given the god father table :) we were made to feel at home and enjoyed a beautiful 3 course meal cooked to perfection, i even enjoyed a white recommended by the owner. lovely! you will not be disappointed.

real italian food. went there yesterday with friends. wonderful gnocchi and chocolate dessert. fantastic. restaurant has a nice flair and service is how it should be :)
will go there again!

one little "-" .... the portion (the main) was a little too small.

food is awesome but service is poor. why do so many restaurants fail to be good at both? grappino seems to fail in service through arrogance. we booked a table for 13, and received no menu or indication of what we would be eating until it was served up in front of us. too bad if you have dietary requirements.

the best italian i have eaten in a very long time!! been there twice and will be back over and over again! bruschetta is to die for!

had the best italian their ,pasta truffle oil mushroom and cream . will go back serves not overly done, full of flavor wide menu to choose from , will be back!

we had a dinner with our friends. they offered us outdoor table with no explanation even booked for the inside tables. they didn't have any welcoming attitude nor ambience towards us during the course of our meal and even one of staff asked for the tip when i paid the bill so unprofessional and very disappointing experience and the food was rather salty especially the steamed vegetable dish...

once you try it once, you will get addicted to it! my kind of mood, food, and wine :)

the service is excellent, the vibes are great! the food was very good except one item which is the main course item :/ and we ordered it after a recommendation from the crew, so we were really excited for it, but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing, the crustacean was overcooked and dry!
as we started with a tasty wine and that special gamberi, we felt disappointed when the main course served with less quality.. as i keen to try the other items on the menu, i ask the chef to draw more attention to the seafood platters:)

the gnocchi al funghi is to die for. we came in one evening for some dinner. it a wonderful lively atmosphere and great fit out. for entrees i had the prawns - they were delicious and well cooked, and partner had bruschetta. for main i had gnocchi funghi and it was one of the best i have ever had. truffle and mushroom is the greatest combo.

the wine list was good- kind of expensive but worth it. they were super busy the night we went in so the cheapest bottle was just under $100- it was good though.

loved the staff, even though they were busy they made time to be personable.

will i be back? oh yes.

a fantastico italian restaurant which is a must do. the food was absolutely amazing, capably served by fun yet attentive staff who obviously enjoy what they do and are proud of the meals they are serving.
some of the best authentic italian food served in brisbane without a doubt. as this was our first experience at grappinos, we look forward to more visits to taste the rest of the menu.

in an old converted store in given terrace grappino is your classic italian trattoria.
trattoria- it’s casual, laminate tables and paper placemats - but the stemware is personalised and the cutlery is laguiole.
the usual bric a brac adorn the walls, background music is italian, menus simple, on clipboards + the daily specials.
probably my favourite are the italian waiters in black and white, wearing full length black aprons. handsome, charming italian men for whom wait service is a joy, their career and at which they are skilled beyond parallel.
how wonderful to be in the hands of these delightful men - they made our night.
the food is excellent- calamari were light and crisp and the arugula salad fresh. creamy aioli which i could’ve eaten with a spoon!
our main courses too were generously portioned, perfectly cooked and delicious.
dessert - our weakness did not disappoint.
good selection of italian wines, as well as digestives and the coffee is very good.
fantastic evening- highly recommend!

just had a lovely meal at grappino. we couldn't decide on mains, so shared antipasti, garlic chiili prawns, souffle and salad. everything was delicious and we were able to try a bit of everything. service was impeccable. deliciouso!

you can expect better services at macdonalds. absolutely disgusting owners. will never visit again. was told twice within 10 minutes of getting our order to finish up our meals and leave for the next people. unless you can finish your meal in under 5 minutes, don't bother.

the service was impeccable. there was the friendly waiter who made jokes and he italian nonna who made you feel like a kid again. food was amazing. we had the melted cheese soufflé (wow), escargot (which is weird because they are french and i loved them much more than the french place next door's (montrachet) escargot), then the marinara which was good of tasty fresh seafood and a richer lobster bisque sauce which isn't what i was used to. and my friend had their speciality veal which was so tender and the sauce was really complex and delicious. dessert was a little chocolate cake thing which oozed chocolate sauce from the middle served with ice cream and strawberries. great experience. will definitely be back!
