excellent location. lovely ambience.

the food itself ranges between average to good. the presentation of the food is excellent but the core product i.e. food itself is just at par or a tad above par.

i think we were a bit disappointed with the food whole the rest of the stuff like decor, ambience etc was above par.

the staff andserviceis excellent and probably the gold standard for the area..

been here many many times. love everything about this place. the food is so good and theserviceis awesome. the beer they make here is better than most store bought. can't wait to come back again and again.

i will start with:
fried sweet potatoes with sugar on it ... well, it's like pouring the lemon juice on the lemon:)

anyway,serviceok however didn't have any chance to comment my food. we ordered spinach salad with raspberries, goat cheese and avocado.

i came here by accident asking for soccer game but was impossible to watch european games. can't see any reason why come back if visiting new orleans again.

this is a great laid-back / sports club environment. the food is awesome. theserviceis excellent. park inside harrah's garage and get your parking validated at the restaurant.

sweet & spicy cashew chicken stir fry. very good and very filling.

quick delicious lunch.. i was across the street at the hilton for a conference and came here for lunch. the bartender offered a great suggestion on a beer, the märzen. i had the sweet & spicy cashew chicken stir fry, which was very delicious. i didn't get there till after 1 so theservicewas really quick. so i'm not sure what rush hour would be like. i highly recommend that you try this place.

mixed reviews. i read a lot of mixed reviews below. most of them bad. i ate here tonight for the first time. of my friends that accompanied me, two couples, one of the couples were the ones that recommended the establishment. they had been here two previous times. once was, as mentioned in a review below, the night the hood caught fire. obviously everyone being different some folks get upset about some things while others don't. my friend thought the hood fire was a little exciting and entertaining. i'm sure i would too. it wasn't so bad as to stop anything.
regarding another review: this is not a "fine dining" restaurant. it is nice. it is an upscale pub. you don't find multiple large screen tv's hanging on the walls loudly playing sporting events in a fine restaurant.
pros:
we shared three appetizers; the humus, southwest egg rolls & the crab & artichoke dip. two were very good, the humus and the egg rolls. the crab and artichoke dip was good but would have been better with either a touch of sweetness or a bit more seasoning.
my entree was the gorgonzola butter ribeye with skin on mashed potatoes and grilled green beans. the steak was tender and cooked perfectly with the right amount of char marks. the flavor was spot on. of course, as usual, i had to salt to taste.
my companions very much enjoyed their entrees was well. i tasted two of theirs and totally agree. they were the stir fry and the taco with black beans and rice plate.
theservicewas attentive, patient and pleasant. upon arrival we were seated within 5 minutes.
the prices were fair.
the ambiance was nice.
cons:
the waitress did not check in on us as often as i would have liked but i understand as they were very busy and it was not enough for anyone to complain about.
they were out of two appetizers, an entree and a desert. all of which the waitress had to come back to tell us after ordering these items.
my green beans were cool. not cold, just cool. good thing they were good anyway.
overall:
as per this experience i recommend this establishment and intend to return.

not worth your time. too many other places around that hands-down beat this place, including the hot dog cart we passed on the way.servicewas terrible, food was mediocre at best. waiter didn't write down our order as we placed it (always a pink flag for me!) - low and behold brought wrong kids meal for our toddler. then, brought corn dog that was black on the outside and weenie was still frozen! waiter did make it right - but that doesn't mean that our experience was already ruined. go somewhere else!!

not good. went there for an early lunch and were seated right away. but they sat us right next to where the waiters input the orders so we felt very uncomfortable through the whole meal as there was always someone standing right beside us. theservicewas decent and they kept our drink orders filled.

the food was not too good. we ordered the sampler that came with potstickers - these tasted like a dollop of wasabi had been placed in them. it basically burned our sinuses. we didn't complain trying to be polite but it was one of the worst food experiences i've had, especially in a "nice" restaurant. the rest of the food was okay, not worth the price. the garlic fries were just okay. the flatbreads were soggy and the grilled cheese was lukewarm.

would not recommend.

decent vegetarian options. i don't think this place pulled up on the list of vegetarian restaurants i looked at so i wanted to mention it if you do want a few vegetarian options at a standard restaurant. each time we visited, theservicewas good and we didn't have to wait and that's a plus. the black bean burger and the veggie tacos are delicious. walking distance form the riverwalk/convention center and hotels in the cbd.

disappointing food quality. 10-13-12 sat.6pm just came from gordon biersch in new orleans across from harrah's casino. took a table on the veranda with two friends for dinnerserviceand food was "do not recommend to a friend."

we took a table outside, nice atmosphere, there were big screens on which to watch the college football games, a good thing on a saturday evening. hostess brought us to a table and said the she would be back to wipe it. she did but forgot to bring us any tableware or napkins. waiter took the drink order which they got right and kept filled.

two of us ordered the seafood gumbo. when it came, it was very chilly. not good for a hot soup dish. had to go back and it came back lukewarm. we then had to ask for the missing tableware.

1st person's entree came out by itself. a chopped salad which was not good. old lettuce and not to many mix-in's which were described on the menu. later a seafood cobb salad came out for me. only problem was it was a regular cobb salad. so it never hit the table and had to go back . the third person's order, a surf and turf burger (lobster on top of a cheese burger) came back with the revised seafood cobb. the recipient of the burger wasn't impressed and it was also cold with the warm fries. the cobb salad was pretty,but the crab was kind of old and the shrimp too. as a lifelong louisiana resident, it was passable at best.

the waiter was told the a 4th order would be a "take-out" order, a sweet & spicy cashew chicken stir fry*. he asked when we wanted it, he was told to put it in to go now. we finished the meal and sat around waiting on the take-out which was brought out in a dish for a table serving and had to go back for packaging. when the 4th person tried the stir fry less than 15 minutes later they took a few bites and said it was ok but not good. new orleans is a place where excellent food can be had easily. any restaurant less than good doesn't stay in business.

1) the manager needs to make more rounds. we noticed that it wasn't jsut us with the mixed up and bad orders. one order came to the door with a plate clearly on top of someone else's steak, not just on an overlapping plate. another waiter had to snatch it off to help serve it.

2) the hot food needs to be hot which it wasn't. the wait staff was friendly but the kitchen seems to send orders out in parts hence the coldness of the hot food.

3) the waiters were friendly but excited to be there and deliver a great experience. we normally tip above and beyond but this time it was not worth it.

i would tell someone to skip this one. there are a few other restaurants, ruth's chris, mulate's, 7, mannings, besh just a few steps away to try before this one.

1st visit with a groüpon. the relish sauces were very good as were the garlic fries. the atomsphere was nice & the sërvice was fine.. bet its a great place to hang out & watch some games..

the beer was pretty good. the tapas plate was good but the hummus on it was not. my husband had the new york strip and tempura shrimp. the shrimp were awesome but the steak was okay. the fish and chips were very good. the steak and potatoes came out cold. we told them and they made not only a fresh plate on the steak and shrimp but one on the fish and chips as well. theservicewas really good.

this place sucks. the food is bland, boring, and over priced. my garlic mashed potatoes came out cold, my dining companion's bacon was almost raw, and her blt with avocado had almost no avocado. theservicewas fine but it certainly didn't make up for the unimaginative, poorly cooked food.

theserviceis outstanding and the food is excellent! i will be back! the micro brews they offer are out of this world!

stops at the beer!. beer was great! after that,servicewas alright until we we're rushed out of there because it was getting close to closing time. food was just ok.
