golden crown panaderia

we are visiting from nashville and love a one off. this placed fits the delicious bill. the super friendly staff greeted us with fresh mexican cookies when we walked in the door. the green chile crust house pizza was delicious and the toasted, buttered chile bread was spank-yo-self good!!

a local treasure. what a joy it is to go to gcp!!! they never fail to deliver on outstanding bread, pastries and now pizza and sandwiches. pratt and crew have built an impressive business and brand. we are lucky to have gcp. it is truly a local treasure and treat!!

i have tried almost everything​on the menu and wasn't dissatisfied. the selection are always great. i personally like the breads. i only wish parking was better in the area.

they have the best green chili bread in town which is a lot for new mexico, and they specialize in a blue corn dough you can get as a pizza crust. everything is local, they just expanded, and have also been featured on guy fieri's diners driveins and dives!

one of those gems that makes you proud of your city. this is an excellent choice for someone looking for great food at a great price. the quality is incredible, the atmosphere cozy, and the staff amiable. i enjoyed the best pastrami & provolone i've had thus far, coupled with la cumbre's project dank. the empanadas are exquisite as well. this is the sort of eatery i will bring every single one of my out-of-town friends to, and will ensure i frequent myself!

great little place

stopped in for a pastry and some coffee. the latte was nice (although an option of skim milk would have been appreciated). the tostada, we were told, is something like a cross between a cinnamon roll and a french palmier (aka “elephant ear”). it was much closer to the palmier and it was very nice.

upon entering we were given a cookie to try, which was very nice. all the staff were extra friendly and helpful.

piggy cookies. these are so great. wonderful to dip in coffee but if you can get the day old ones they hold up better when dipping and taste just as good

"best green chile bread ever". we had some friends stop by on their way from little rock to las vegas (usaf), and we wanted to share a place with them that had new mexico flavors and flair. gcp fit the bill perfectly. two of us had the turkey with swiss, on green chile bread, toasted, and it was excellent. three others shared a pizza, and raved about the crust and generous toppings. the wings were huge as well, and cooked perfectly. we were welcomed right away, and we all sat outside, since there were two boxers in the family as well! excellent service, delivered promptly, but casually. really, just a perfect sunday afternoon to enjoy the company of someone we hadn't seen in 10+ years, and a great place to relax.

i wasn't too impressed with the selection - maybe i was there too late - but the empanadas that i purchased were good.

they really do hand you a free cookie when you walk in. pretty cool.

excellent pizza and waitstaff. saw that golden crown was at 90%+ here so decided to look into this place more. thought they were just a bakery but once i went to their website i realized they had sandwiches and pizza aside from the bakery items. had been craving a good pizza for a while so thought we should give it a go. 6:30pm on a friday night, a little cool to be sitting out al fresco, so everyone was packed on the small enclosed porch. had to bring in chairs from the outside as not enough on the inside. walked in and was greeted promptly with a biscochito for each of us. decided on the medium golden's big meat, delicious i must day. also tried a moroccan mint tea which was also very good. picked up a lemon empanada to go, that was also yummy. the nice lady behind the counter asked if we were local, yes... she asked if we would be back, yes! we will remember this place on a nice day to sit on the patio or when we want good pizza instead of "just pizza". would like to try their coffees sometime soon. only wish they had more/better seating "on the inside". two thumbs up since it is the food and the staff that makes us return to a place!

from the outside, you would have never guessed what kind of food this place serves up. not only is the service great and the people are friendly. the food is awesome. the bread, cookies, pizza, and sandwiches are amazing. actually everything is amazing at this place. i highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food.

the bakery goods taste bland, dry and stale. they seem to favor certain folks while rushing and being rude to others. i've been in twice and been treated badly by 2 different clerks. i'll never be back or recommend this place to anyone.

if the decor doesn’t catch your eye right away, the smell certainly will! when you walk in, you can see the bakers out work, turning out fresh pastries and bread.

it’s the noon rush hour, and golden crown panaderia is slamming busy. people are lined up deciding whether to order a pizza, a meat and cheese sandwich, a big salad or just some puffy loaves of bread and treats from the bakery. my personal-sized pizza is a delightful, four-slice lunch, highlighted by the blue corn crust i’ve chosen over the standard green chile dough.
