gino's italian ristorante

sorry we don't want your business. i did a search online to find an italian restaurant close to my job site. i found gino's italian restaurant and reviewed there menu. i then called the restaurant and asked if they could make me a few dozen pizzas and have them available around 11:00 am tomorrow. i was told this would be ok. i then proceeded to review the menu and write down my order. i called back and placed the order with the same person i talked to previously. the order was for 27 pizzas. i was asked if it would be ok to have them ready at 11:30am, i agreed. she then checked with the kitchen and was told they can only cook three at atimeand they could not accept my order. sorry, have a nice day. i am thinking what kind of staff treats there customers like this.

over priced plate of garbage. went to gino's for the first and lasttimethis week. our party of 6 was seated near the entrance on un-level bar style tables that nearly tipped over with the slightest amount of pressure on the corner. the shrimp and bacon appetizer was horridly over cooked and rubbery. one of our diners had raviolis with white sauce that was scorched to the point the entire table could smell it. another diner had eggplant rollatini which was worse than the ravioli. the ragu' (if you want to call it that) tasted like it was made from burnt rotten tomatoes and the eggplant was inundated with cheese of an unknown origin. extremely disappointed and will never return - caution all to avoid!!

gino, our firsttimein, thank you... birthday for a friend.. staff is outstanding and professional. setting is beautiful and the meal was without question grand. tim, our waiter, was a gentleman and an asset to your house. we will be back.. steve and valerie

sadly gino's has exceptional food and a horrible unprofessional staff. we've dinned in the restaurant 4 times and did take out once. the waiters (everytimewe dinned in) made us feel like we were a bother to them and rushed us in every way (and messed up our orders). then when we did a to go order i felt like i was ordering from an 8 year old with no concept of professionalism, spewing her obvious stress and chaos through the phone.
gino- a word of advice from someone who really wants to eat at your establishment more- either train your staff with better customer service and professionalism or get a new staff.

after the macaroni grill in boise closed my husband and i began looking for a decent italian place to visit. this place blows any chain resteraunt out of the water. reviews are not hyped up.

the atmosphere of the resteraunt is comfortable and warm. the staff are impressive and the food is astounding.

i ordered the alfredo, as the quality put into a simple dish is usually telling in thetimeand effort put into everything overall. it was delicious and you could taste the flavors of everything put into it. fresh.

my husband had the ravioli and commented that the marinara sauce is the best he's ever had. smooth, low acidity, not over seasoned.

he had the marion berry chocolate tort for dessert since many reviews talked it up an he was not dissapointed. i tried the cheesecake and was floored. it tastes like something i would bake. rich and custard-like. a stark contrast from hour typical mass produced varieties. better than even the cheesecake factory can boast. though some accustomed to the smoother and sweeter kind may not agree with me.

yes the prices are expensive, but we found it well worth it, as well as the drive out to them from boise!

don't waste your time!!!. if you want cold, hard, bland food then this is the place to go. this is my fourthtimehere, i want to like it but i simply can't. olive garden has better food than this and that place sucks! don't bother ordering appetizers. they have "forgot to put the order in" on two seperate visits. chef boyardee cooks better than this.

you cannot deny great italian!. we love gino's! the staff, robert and rachel you pour a great drink and always manage to spendtimeto visit! gino, you always are a great host and come to say hello and we love your great robert graham shirts! seeing your mom is always a treat as well since she shines in her joy in your success! the calamari, gnocci, veal saltambocco is beyond anything we have ever eaten in the states! just like itallia! we have a stack of your business cards and hand them out always to anyone that has not shared in the great experience at your wonderful restaurant. hats off to you and your team for all that you do! we know your recipes are secret, but even if you came out with a cookbook, no one could do what you can do since you give all of your heart in sharing a part of italy with you clients! if anyone complains about having to drive to get to you, tell them to hop on the new ten mile exit and it is worth the15 minute drive from downtown! we live in bridgetower, so we do have a great advantage! cheers and two shots of grappa !

lovely meal. very nice dinner at gino's. had heard it was very good so my husband and i ventured out - it is pretty far out for us -- to give it a try. i had osso bucco for the firsttime($31) - expensive, but it was delicious and deeply tasty. my husband had their lasagne -- which is not a standard recipe and very different -- but he enjoyed it. nice atmosphere - although i do feel the tables are too close together. they had patio dining - we stayed in since it was pretty hot outside. great service. a very enjoyable meal. it is on the expensive side so i don't think we'll be going their often, but it was very good.

okay food- lots of items smothered in kind of a bland marinera. we didn't have reservations but got right in- it was on a wednesday & wasn't busy at all. after ordering it took 45 minutes just for us to get the salads- a little ridiculous! a total of an hour until we got our main course. on the plus side, lots of food for the money & a nice relaxing atmosphere. might try it again when we have moretimeto relax & enjoy the food but will not order anything with marinera sauce on it again- i want something with more flavor if i'm going to spend that kind of money.

wow. every aspect of the experience was very enjoyable. from how the light played through the upper west window to the celebratory dessert. we both took pleasure in the antipasto appetizer, herbed bread with the dipping oil, and the house salads. i ordered the smoked boar shank. it was delicious and memorable. my wife also enjoyed her prosciutto, mushroom, and mozzarella calzone. our waiter was wonderful. he was attentive without being intrusive. he made sure we were well taken care of. gino stopped by to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. he took thetimeto talk to my wife about her experiences, when she lived in italy for a time. we need to go back soon.

great service, amazing food! we made a reservation for 7:30 on a friday and had such a goodtimewe closed the restaurant out. only "disappointment" was paying $4.50 for a 1"x3" slice of tiramisu.

great food - great service!. we tried gino's tonight for the firsttimewith friends who have been there several times previously. although i was not impressed with the hostess, who came off as rather snooty, the wait staff was very attentive and knowledgable. the food was great, even though i would have liked some vegetables with my pasta. we will be visiting them again in the future!

love it. i was there for the firsttimelast week, i loved it...yummy food , great environment and attentive servers.. a little out of the way but worth it...

absolutely delish!. we dined at gino's again tonight, thistimewith friends, and had the most wonderful evening. great wine list, interesting and delicious entres, excellent service, and what can i say about the dipping oil for the bread -- so, so wonderful! if you haven't been to gino's, you must go because it is absolutely delicious and quite unexpected for boise, idaho.
