great homemade italian food! after eating there twice, geraldi'sis quickly becoming one of my new favorite places to eat. the spaghetti with italian sausage was terrific, the pesto spaghetti was great. we topped it off with cannoli, which was scrumptious. everything is homemade and fits right in to the unassuming décor. also a great beer selection. the owner is very friendly and really enjoys socializing with the patrons. he told us about his mother, mrs.geraldi who came to america as a young girl. mr. geraldi also told us this was the 37th location he had opened (there are locations in arkansas, oregon and florida) and it's easy to see why he has been so successful. do yourself a favor and make this your next meal.

mmm, meatballs and cannoli....geraldi'shas to be the best new place in fayetteville in a long time. it's awesome! i've been there several times now, and it's one of my new favorites. the pizza (with meatballs) is delicious, i really enjoyed the pesto spaghetti (with meatballs) and the meatball sandwich might be the best thing i've eaten there (you might notice a trend here... the meatballs are freaking delicious!!). although the portions can make it difficult (you definitely get your money's worth), you've got to leave room for the cannoli... best desert in town, in my opinion. oh, and they have some pretty tasty garlic bread, too... seriously, eat at geraldi's!

great.. got the chance to try this place yesterday after putting it off for forever - after all cheap italian is always a worrisome topic.geraldi'sis a sneaky little italian joint nestled down one of those roads you probably rarely go down unless you live on it or went on it for the sole intent to get togeraldi's(or perhaps wes's). not a terribly big place and the interior is certainly nothing special (honestly the giant median in the middle kind of kills the restaurant flow). it was a tough choice between one of the delicious sounding sandwiches and one of the noodle dishes. i opted for the safe route - spaghetti with meatballs. the portion was huge. the noodles were all well prepared (but did have that "already made" flavor to them) and the sauce was very, very good. the accompanying garlic bread was more buttery than garlic-y, but still enjoyable as an appetizer. the meatballs were a wee bit mushy, but still had a nice flavor (though could use a little extra spice). service was very fast and the waitress was especially friendly in both greet/departure and table side. overall, if you're seeking italian food then you won't find better in fayetteville (especially for the price and portion). my only complaint is the additive meatballs were basically a dollar a piece and not very generous in size. i look forward to visiting again and trying out more of their selection!

awesome pizza's and sandwiches. tucked away from busy streets, geraldi'sis worth going out of your way for. the pizza's are always great and they have some of the best sandwiches in town; the meatball marinara is simply awesome with crusty bread and plenty of cheese. a word of warning though - make sure you share the calzone!

disappointed. i just ate atgeraldi'swith my mom. our meal started off with stuffed mushrooms and a caesar salad. the stuffed mushrooms were not extremely flavorful but were good. the caesar salad was interesting and not necessarily in a good way. the salad did not have a lot of flavor and in my opinion not a true caesar salad. our entree was the chicken alfredo and again did not have a lot of flavor. i would compare it to a store bought pasta from the freezer section at walmart. i told the waiter that we didn't care for the pasta and his reaction is what disappointed me the most. he defensively asked me over and over what exactly i didn't like about the meal. i understand him asking but he was a little to pushy making me very uncomfortable. then to top it off he then went back to the kitchen and yelled to the cook that i didn't like the meal. i was considering coming back to try their sandwiches or pizza because i have heard that they were good, but after the way the waiter reacted i will not go back. i have tried plenty of italian restaurants and in my opiniongeraldi'sis not an italian restaurant.

i lovegeraldi'sfood, but their service is absolutely shameful. their employees don't have a clue, they don't communicate and have no serving skills. eating dinner here tonight alone i've heard three different groups of people complain about their service. be prepared for an excellent meal, but the worst service in fayetteville.

didn't like our order.... my wife and i just returned from eating atgeraldi'son a saturday night between 6 and 7pm.

one a scale of 1 to 10, the setting would get a 6. the service tonight would have gotten a 3. the food? 1 or less.

my wife had the lasagna, i had the mediterranean pasta.

i've edited this review after my wife reminded me that we should have told them about our experience as we left. we weren't asked at all, even though it should have been obvious we weren't really happy customers.

i used the phone call mostly as a vent, and a chance to say "hey -- we left with food barely touched in carry out boxes, and didn't even get asked if we liked our experience".

the owner called back to ask what happened from caller id. he was cheerful about it, and i admitted that different tastes may have explained our less that satisfying experience.

kudos. anyone who can smile over the phone to a disgruntled customer and make the feel better deserves a second chance.

our feelings about the food? my wife, who admittedly isn't a big lasagna fan, found it to be very bland. couldn't tell if it even had any meat. honestly, i felt that even canned spaghetti sauce would have been an improvement.

in my opinion, i found the mediterranean pasta to be dry. the serving was large, but i found it better in the menu than on the plate. i had trouble tasting the pesto sauce, though there was obviously some on the bottom of the plate when i poured it into the carryout box. there definitely were olives, tomatoes and artichoke hearts, but i felt like they were diced into very small pieces and a bit scant. admittedly, i haven't stirred the carryout box yet to "freshen it up" for a second chance. i usually really enjoy pesto sauce, and love olives and artichoke hearts.

the garlic bread was great when out fresh and hot. would have been really welcome before the food to set the mood. cooling, i found it slightly on the "overly buttered, not quite enough garlic" side. but still pretty good.

the wait staff didn't appear to be in the back instead of helping customers. just that they missed noticing our dissatisfaction. and didn't ask us about our experience before we left.

the owner's call bumped me from a "the last time was too much" to a "well, some people seem to love it, so there must be some things that are really exceptional on the menu".

wonderful place. i really liked my 1st experience at geraldi's. the dining room is small and cozy. the value of the food was high. i tried lasagna and the chicago beef with a side of meatballs. well, that was split between two people. the garlic bread that accompanied the meal was excellent. i'm looking forward to trying several things on the menu. this has the old fayetteville feel that most new restaurants lack. it's great food with nice personalities in a tucked away location. ****** i've been back several times now. i have to compliment the staff. i showed up without reservations on valentines day. they worked us in without question. service was spot on and the food was wonderful. i had the grilled salmon w/ pasta. i couldn't have been more pleased. i truly suggestgeraldi'splace for the italian lovers in nwa.

ohh, geraldi's, how i love thee.... i've been togeraldi'sseveral times and have picked up to-go orders more often than that. i have never, never been disappointed. eating in is nice as the owners are wonderful and try to make the rounds to stop by your table. the quality of this food is great-- everything is piled high with toppings, covered with fresh-chopped vegetables, and the mozzarella is real. the only thing that i would point out is that if you're getting a pizza with lots of water-filled toppings (aka, veggies), the middle of the pizza tends to be pretty soggy. i need to remember to ask them to cook it a little extra next time, maybe. i'd love it if they had more vegetable toppings, too-- maybe some broccoli, squash, something like that? but really, the quality of this food is unreal, and you absolutely without a doubt get what you pay for. maybe i could get a large for $10-13 at one of the chain restaurants, but my family can eat that in one sitting-- we generally only eat half of this pizza and have the other half for another meal. this is one of my favorite pizzas in town. i haven't tried the sandwiches or pastas because the pizza is so good, but i've dined with people that have gotten other things, and i've never seen anyone leave unhappy.

i ate atgeraldi'sfor the second time last night. the prime rib special on friday night was excelent. the italian sandwich and salad i had the first time were wonderful. the pizza has a great crust but i can't say any more about it since my son only orders cheese. the restaurant has a great laid back atmosphere.
