competent gelato. this is more of a standard gelato place, not particuarly artisan. missed my train so stopped here to wait for the next one. 2 scoop cup - vanilla bean and dulce du leche.flavoursok and competent but not knock your socks off. you can sit down and eat at a counter they have running the length of most of the shop. strange that they couldn't give me a receipt.

best diary free ice cream in sydney. still have richflavoursand delicious. it's very busy at the night though so it would be a wait. would return for sure.

3.5/5 the final stop of the sydney vegan tour is dessert at gelato blue. have you seen part 1-3 of sydney vegan tours? gelato blue is located nearby newtown station. it's often quite busy even on colder days. all the gelatoflavoursat gelato blue are vegan and are made with coconut milk. you will see shades of blue as you enter (which makes sense given the name).

every time i go past this family-owned gelateria, it’s always busy and finally tonight i was able to pop in despite the queues. i love that all their gelatos are made with coconut milk. if there gelaterias like gelato blue. i am looking forward to trying otherflavoursand they seemed to have a wonderful variety of flavours. #gelatoblue

as they say it is a family-owned gelateria offering creative gelatoflavoursmade in-house with coconut milk.

well every word holds true about above sentence, they are pretty creative and flavourful
the staff is cordial and you get lovely and warm welcome every-time you visit them.

they have amazing collection of vegan ice-creams, perhaps a boon for lactose intolerants.i have been here many times(lost the count), and it is now sort of a ritual, that we always end-up having our dessert here post our dinners at newtown.they have refreshing fruitflavoursif you are fans of berryflavoursthis place is great.

interestingly they have sugar free collection too (very limited though but you won’t be disappointed on the flavour), which is helpful, if you with someone diabetic, they can join with you and feast.

overall experience is fun.

ice cream is delicious! better than messina which is less that 50m away. so manyflavoursfor the plant based or enviro conscious person.

staff were efficient & kind but didn’t appear happy to be working.

my family and friends said that this ice cream was better than the milk based ones they’d had.

salted belgium chocolate : 😍 amazing

there’s a wide variety offlavoursto choose from here. my favourite being the salted belgium chocolate (can’t go wrong with chocolate). mint chocolate wasn’t as strong as i normally like it but still good. yoghurt w/ balsamic & strawberry was definitely something different and i did quite enjoy that one. the coffee gelato was okay. it was quite mild in flavour and sweet as well. good place to go if you wanted to tryflavoursbut not quality.

good service with various flavours.
the ice cream is nice and soft andflavoursare quite tasty. the coffee flavour is fragrant, but a little sweet. the mint choc ice cream was nice, but the choc pieces inside were not. the chocolate doesn’t taste like good quality chocolate.
the greek yogurt with balsamic vinegar and strawberry was weird and wonderful along with the salted belgium chocolate.

my favourite place for dairy-free gelato in sydney; you can barely tell there's no milk. perfect for lactose intolerant people like me! the gelatoflavoursare also constantly changing so there's always something new to try

one of the best dairy-free ice cream places in sydney! they have sooo many niceflavoursto choose from. the consistency is also extremely creamy and thick for what most people would expect of a dairy-free ice cream. i got the pumpkin pie halloween special flavour which was so nice! it had a nice sweet aftertaste too.

👍🏼- great artisan plant based gelato! i’ve been on multiple occasions and have always enjoyed theflavoursi’ve chosen. their gelatos are always changing, so you’re bound to find a flavour you enjoy. the presentation is an a+. this place is definitely not for everyone, i’ve been with many vegan and non vegan friends whom either loved or hated it, you’d have to try it for yourself and see! it’s not bad by any means however it does not necessarily replicate normal ice cream. i have to say, i do appreciate the effort that goes into the business with their new ideas and the love that goes into the process of making the gelato.

👎🏻- the downfalls would be the staff , and i’d hate to be that person but i’m just being honest. on multiple occasions the staff have been unhelpful and cold, which definitely stands out to me.

theflavoursi chose normally have a lot of cream and butterfat and i really noticed the difference - gelato blue's vegan mix has a much heavier texture with a fair bit of graininess, so it couldn't get the delicate smooth taste than i want from good gelato. maybe the sorbets would be a better choice.

lovely gelato place that sells vegan gelato and desserts! prices are standard for a gelato place. the workers are friendly and they have a pretty decent range offlavoursand desserts to choose from.

absolutely thrilled to find a gelato place that was all non-dairy!!! so over the limited sorbet options you get at other places, was excited to have the chance finally to indulge in the chocolaty, caramel, coffeeflavoursthat i usually would avoid because of allergy reasons. staff are very friendly. gelato is standard gelato pricing for a place near the cbd, even if they raised the prices i would still return because places like this are very rare and everything was delicious!!!
