gelato blue

competent gelato. this is more of a standard gelato place, not particuarly artisan. missed my train so stopped here to wait for the next one. 2 scoop cup - vanilla bean and dulce du leche. flavours ok and competent but not knock your socks off. you can sit down and eat at a counter they have running the length of most of the shop. strange that they couldn't give me a receipt.

gelato blue has a large range of flavours, including some more unusual ones like sweet potato and pavlova. they also had some other tempting sweets like chocolate baklava, chocolates and waffles. but since it was gelato that bought me there, i ordered myself a scoop of white coconut and almond gelato. it was nice and wasn't too heavy, which was exactly what i needed, but my mum's hokey pokey gelato did give some order envy,as it was tastier. what i really liked about gelato blue was the seating area upstairs, which was a nice space to sit and eat your ice cream while you catch up with friends and family. as for flavour and price, i would say its on par with gelatissmo (although they didn't have some of my favourite berry flavours) so if you are looking to  broaden your gelato horizons, i would recommend gelato blue.

i was overwhelmed in a good way by how much choice there was in vegan gelato that it took a while for me to order, i got the belgium chocolate and peanut butter one yum!!
prices are more expensive than other gelato places but its still very reasonable for the quality of the product

best diary free ice cream in sydney. still have rich flavours and delicious. it's very busy at the night though so it would be a wait. would return for sure.

bang on! it's so good to have an option for vegan ice cream lovers. i'm telling you, if you brought a non vegan there, they wouldn't even know. they have such a great range of flavours. the only thing i wonder is why they don't actually advertise that it is all vegan. you wouldn't know because it doesn't really say. the staff are friendly. i will definitely be coming back here regularly.

hazelnut and coconut gelato flavours were smooth and creamy. two scoops worth it for $8. recyclable cup and spoon

was too busy enjoying the gelato so forgot to take photos ! ok so me being an avid lover of all things sugar and dairy , gelato blue was a revelation!! how can sugarless chocolate vegan gelato taste sooo gooood!!!! like howwwww????? it actually tasted better than the regular ones. hats off to these guys for creating this & here’s to many more revisits. if vegan or sugarless makes you cringe, gives you nightmares i suggest a trip to gelato blue for cure ✌️✌️✌️

3.5/5 the final stop of the sydney vegan tour is dessert at gelato blue. have you seen part 1-3 of sydney vegan tours? gelato blue is located nearby newtown station. it's often quite busy even on colder days. all the gelato flavours at gelato blue are vegan and are made with coconut milk. you will see shades of blue as you enter (which makes sense given the name).

every time i go past this family-owned gelateria, it’s always busy and finally tonight i was able to pop in despite the queues. i love that all their gelatos are made with coconut milk. if there gelaterias like gelato blue. i am looking forward to trying other flavours and they seemed to have a wonderful variety of flavours. #gelatoblue

as they say it is a family-owned gelateria offering creative gelato flavours made in-house with coconut milk.

well every word holds true about above sentence, they are pretty creative and flavourful
the staff is cordial and you get lovely and warm welcome every-time you visit them.

they have amazing collection of vegan ice-creams, perhaps a boon for lactose intolerants.i have been here many times(lost the count), and it is now sort of a ritual, that we always end-up having our dessert here post our dinners at newtown.they have refreshing fruit flavours if you are fans of berry flavours this place is great.

interestingly they have sugar free collection too (very limited though but you won’t be disappointed on the flavour), which is helpful, if you with someone diabetic, they can join with you and feast.

overall experience is fun.

everything about this place is good. i've been there plenty of times and never been disappointed. easily my favourite place to eat creamy stuff.

ice cream is delicious! better than messina which is less that 50m away. so many flavours for the plant based or enviro conscious person.

staff were efficient & kind but didn’t appear happy to be working.

my family and friends said that this ice cream was better than the milk based ones they’d had.

there’s a wide variety of flavours to choose from here. my favourite being the salted belgium chocolate (can’t go wrong with chocolate). mint chocolate wasn’t as strong as i normally like it but still good. yoghurt w/ balsamic & strawberry was definitely something different and i did quite enjoy that one. the coffee gelato was okay. it was quite mild in flavour and sweet as well. good place to go if you wanted to try flavours but not quality.

good service with various flavours.
the ice cream is nice and soft and flavours are quite tasty. the coffee flavour is fragrant, but a little sweet. the mint choc ice cream was nice, but the choc pieces inside were not. the chocolate doesn’t taste like good quality chocolate.
the greek yogurt with balsamic vinegar and strawberry was weird and wonderful along with the salted belgium chocolate.

super creamy with each bite bursting with flavour! my mother introduced this place to me and all the people that i’ve brought here never suspect that it’s vegan!

staff are super friendly and ice cream is affordable. definitely recommend the peanut butter brownie and chocolate hazelnut crunch.
