this gelato joint has a wide range of interesting flavours. we got 2x 3 scoops between 3 people which amounted to $20 - not bad in pricing if you share! they have some interesting flavours, for example the pandan and lychee ones (both delicious). they also have a coffee flavour which was a stark contrast and a refreshing caffeine kick. some of the flavours were a bit too sweet. their service is really good as well - i asked for an extra cone cracker and they gave me two extra :) be prepared to line up for 20 minutes on a saturday night, well worth the wait.

personally i am quite adamant that this is the best place for gelato in sydney. simple flavours that are done perfectly. pistachio here is absolutely the best i've had in the world. so nutty with a slight saltiness, just the way it should be done. other favourites here include sesame, taro and vanilla. their ricotta is quite unique and nice as well.

sorbets are also a strong point here. the signature gondola sorbet has such a complex flavour profile for an ice cream (let alone sorbet), slight acidity and bitterness from the citrus to balance out the sweetness. berry and lychee sorbets are both award winners and both fantastic also.

unsure of comments saying $5 a scoop is expensive?? i'd honestly like to know where i can get a scoop of decent gelato in sydney for less.

magnifico. davide and luca come from venice and have been making traditional gelato for decades and it shows. they start from natural ingredients, blend them in a traditional machine requiring a good deal of skill to operate and produce fresh, unique and flavoursome gelato from rich, creamy jersey milk or fresh fruits and vegetables. they also serve beautiful italian hot chocolate and marvelous crepes. this place is a real gift to chatswood. worth the trip from anywhere. try the yoghurt and raspberry.

forget ben and jerry's, best ice cream in chatswood!. do yourself a favour, it's worth the walk. luca and david make proper italian ice cream and are so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. their ice cream flavour combos are great and they make awesome crepes too!

kind staff and good taste, not too sweet. normal price compared with other ice cream shops.
although not at the main lane, it's worthy to have a try.

winter, spring, summer, or fall, my husband and i visit gondola on a weekly basis, and so do many of their other regulars. the cause for the weekly sojourn, is the truly authentic gelati made daily on site. the delicate richness comes from the freshest seasonal ingredients and rich jersey milk. the flavours vary from the traditional chocolate and vanilla, to the modern taro or black sesame. my husband is addicted to the yogurt, and the nocciola (hazelnut) is one of my favourites. the flavours change daily, so be prepared to experiment and find another favourite if your first choice is sold out. on the days i need some extra happy, i have my gelati on their wonderful crepes! can't recommend this place enough! happy yummy eating!

we love gelato. on our regular travels in italy we often end our evenings with several scoops each - even if we've had dessert somewhere else! it's a treat we find hard to resist. gelateria gondola brought back memories of italy for us.  they have a good range of flavours with a few interesting twists as well. the bright colours drag plenty of people into the shop anyway, and once in, you know you're going to leave with something!

love love love this place. the owner is always so jolly and i can always count on their gelato for a pick me up after a bad day. i come here every time i'm in chatswood.

this gelato is absolutely one of the best or equal to the best in sydney, only cow and moon gelato in newtown is as good, try it if your in the area and i guarantee you will go back.

the gelato here is very smooth and they’ve got some interesting flavours to offer too. love their pistachio gelato and blood orange sorbet - my all time faves. the staff members are all very friendly except for the owner - his attitude isn’t welcoming and is often impatient. would’ve given this place a higher rating but the owner tarnished the experience.
