if you are looking for traditional assamese cuisine, this is the place you should hop in. excellent food, good ambiance, friendly staffs.but one major problem is that of car parking. you may have to park your car near hengrabari road or in the gmc parking near the bustop. if you want to have atasteof the chicken, duck in a traditional way.you will love here.
what i do is i go for a veg thali that costs around 140 i guess and order a non veg item.this way you can get atasteof the various curries,vegetables items and so on.and plus its unlimited.so like this you can savour thetasteof the food to a great extent. try it once

the veg thali instantly takes you to one's home. i meant an assamese home. because that's what is ghar ka khana in a restaurant. simply loveeeeeeee their veg thali for rs. 190. the other fish, pork, chicken thalis are quite overpriced i feel but theirtasteand ambience makes up to it. do try out the other dishes especially try their chicken with banana flower. its so yumm. typically axomiya♥️♥️ their khorika porks and chicken is to die for. and that duck and pigeon. mamma mia! i am not a fish fan so no idea about their fish items but undoubtedly that will be good too.
service is fast. hospitality is ambient and warm. seat capacity is large so no problem of waiting out.
a must go for typical axomiya ahar.

go there for the quality of the food andtasteif you can overlook the price a bit.. the pork was awesome,the complementary soup delicious. just be careful about the quantity of rice you order.. they are quite generous regarding that and you may have a hard time finishing it up.

this place is very good in serving good assamese dishes, coz it got good variety. thetasteis homely, ambience is also typically restaurant look and feel (lighting is very low i felt). will recommend to go for thali for the first timer, coz of the variety.

food maybe good but did not get totasteit, it was a shitty experience with after waiting for 45 mins we did not get our food, and when we approached the bill counter their attitude was " hobo khale khabi nhole ja". people who came after us ate their food and left. we had to leave hungry. worst experience.

pure ethnic kitchen.loved the thalis.they have a variety of items in the menu.they provide lot of assamese dish.those who are non assamese they can go there n explore the ethnic food of our assam n yes thetasteof the food is also very very good.

had stopped here for lunch while on my way from shillong. and what a treat it was!!! simply mind blowing. the place was quite beautifully decorated. very hospitable staff. assamese food at its best. had ordered some river fish curry. fish was very fresh and the curry was subtly spiced. then we had pigeon meat curry and smoked mutton that was fried. both tasted great. double thumbs up for thetasteand quality and quantity of food. service was little slow. looking to visit again next time i go to guwahati. the management should think of expanding in kolkata. there is a very good demand of north eastern cuisine in kolkata.

extremely poor in taste.
we were a group of 20 people and ordered a mix of veg and non veg.
veg foodtastewas extremely below standard.
service is very slow & it is prohibitively expensive.
definitely not worth it.

authentic assamese cuisine. good ambience. okay service. thetasteis authentic and fresh. one of the oldest just assamese joints in guwahati.

a well known place for traditional assamese cuisine. the ambience is good. neither too loud nor too dull. a good place to go with both family and friends if you want to have a scrumptious traditional meal. the service is good too. now coming to the food, the thalis are a great option to go be it the non veg or veg. the amount is good given the price and place. i had the chicken thaali as well as veg thaali and was satisfied both the time. the chicken curry is one of the best dishes available there. also i tried the smoked chicken. thetastewas good but one problem was that 2 pieces were just bones. the pigeon fry tasted great, they say they give one complete pigeon but seeing the amount of onions and the pigeon pieces, i doubt that.
overall it's a good experience but another thing was that the last time i visited there were a lot of mosquitos present for company.

being a foodie i like to try the traditional dishes of various states and this restaurant delivers that perfectly. the preparation is amazing you will get the pure traditional dishes in your pallets.
also, the ambience is good thetastewas obviously great.
a good place to try.

went for dinner today was so much distressed after the food was served.. we had ordered 4 veg thali no doubt the staffs and service was like before(nice) but thetasteof food since last year we went i will give it a big 0. i asked whether some of the items in the thali was made for lunch and served in dinner or not. paid 800 rupees just waste of it...will never visit again..

ah! my favourite place. one of the best place to have assamese ethnic food in guwahati (probably in assam 😋, i am not sure). a must visit place if you want totastemouthwatering assamese delicacy.
my favourite combination: joha chaul r bhat ( joha rice), mati dail ( black lentil) and hahor manokho r fry (duck fry).

first encounter with assamese or ne food , and luckily i choose better place.

place is nice,warmth,clean with comfortable seating. this place is jam for non vegetarian who can try anything pigon/duck/pork.

service is fast and they do serve veg clear soup complimentry.portion size is gud for two people.
they do serve variety of thalis like veg thali/chicken/fish thali.

a la carte is bit on higher side, better to go for thali.

i choose to go for a la carte ordered chicken curry with bamboo shoot, mutton curry with aloo and joha rice (plain rice).foodtasteis gud. their accompaniments is also yum.

suggestion- try thali then go for a la carte.
