service is very very slow, the waitstaff is more interested in talking to each other and are always on their cell phones.  menu is ok, overpriced for the portions.  the food is good however, just dont be in a hurry when going.  and where is the "pub", they only have four or five beers on tap, and limited bar.  if you want apubfeel, fo to the londoner or the ginger man...they have lots of beers on tap.

where's the pub?. at first glace the prices may surprise you, but the portions are exuberant! take in stride that an item such as the shephard's pie is truly enough to feed three. no joke! the food is quite decent, and all made fresh. the rolls were fresh, and such a great start to our meal. they were fresh and light, but let's just say it. you don't need a ton of parsley all over them with the olive oil. it's not necessary, just overkill. less is better, and these rolls are perfect without all the green!
this was my first time coming here, and i will say this now. ..yes, the food was good, but the atmosphere is cold. no warmth, and the staff, well the menu had more personality than our server. i saw the owner talking to a couple of patrons, and seemed very nice. unfortunately our waitress was very distracted with her 2 tables, one of which was at the bar, and she held no regard for follow up. i tried 3 times to ask for some hot tea or something warm, and finally gave up. i don't know her name, she never gave it. in fact when she gave us our bill, she took off before my husband actually could ask about dessert. i came there, because i saw good reviews, and i wanted to try some good englishpubfood. the food was good, but where was the english pub? well there was about 3 beers on tap, all of about 7 wine glasses hanging, and no evidence of any real wine to choose from. very limiting, and being that it was 5 o' clock, it would have been nice to just relax. we felt a bit cold, not cozy, despite the sign saying "come in a stranger go out being friends". not just the staff at hand, but the decor could use some warmth to it. it is a pub, right??
regardless of the price of the meal, i will go back sometime and try again. hopefully we just got them on an off day. even on an off day the food was good. my husband's fish and chips were decent. fresh fries, homemade, just needs more cod. two fillets and 2/3 of a plate of fries is a bit uneven. the mashed peas, were great, and the chips n' gravy was really hearty and inviting. you cannot really mess up shepard's pie, it was good, a huge portion, with homemade mashed potatoes to top. this recipe is good, a bit tomatoey, but over all good. i would eat this again. i hope to try other parts of the menu, hopefully next time we will get a server willing to talk, and walk us through the menu. maybe even wanting to stick around and add onto the bill by just making suggestions. we are the customers, we don't know the menu. tell us what is to die for. tell us what is the #1 item, and why.

a "pub" that is anything but that which it states. you don't go to anypubthinking "i should bring my own beer.", but apparently you do at this one. on too of that i was excited,to get a great plate of fish and chips but instead got fish, chips and even more chips. the plate was practically all chips and the fish looked far to small under the chips. while we're on the fish it was far to greasy and cold. it was a huge hit and miss that i wanted to love but waiting two and a half hours for that was far to long and i only saw my server there times once for my first and only cup of water, once for my food and another time for my check. this is just disappointing and i will not be returning.

from across the pond is a great restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. the british menu items are great, and they still have the old joe's favorites for when you're feeling nostalgic. the owners are incredibly wonderful, and their accents aren't fake!! it only makes sense for a restaurant so aptly named to have two people running it that grew up on the food they serve. you'd be hard pressed to find a better local business with as good of service or traditional britishpubfavorites. be sure to stop in and give this place a shot. you won't leave disappointed, or hungry!

a nice alternative to the texas norm!. if you are tired of chain restaurants and the usual tex-mex dining so prevalent (and mundane!) in this state, from across the pond is a place to go! it's a little britishpublocated in a strip mall. while the locale doesn't provide the same ambiance that you would find in apubin the uk, they do serve traditionalpubfare (like shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, fish 'n chips) along with several pasta dishes. i had the shepherd's pie, and it was delicious! the family that owns thepubare british, so they actually know what they are doing! i also found the wait staff to be extremely friendly and attentive. i would definitely recommend this restaurant!

excellent everything.... okay, so the digs are a bit plain as of yet, but the service was great and the food was amazing! bangers and mash - might as well have been sitting in any givenpubin the uk. i will be back.

if you like british fare, go here. if you're tired of eating nothing but barbecue and tex-mex, go here!!
