i have only ate the "fred burger" at lunch times. very good. tastes like a burger grilled at home on the bbq grill.

one of the best burgers i've had. party of two went to fred's for the first time on a saturday afternoon around 3 pm. found parking less than a block away after driving around the block a couple of times. got right in to the dining room. got a seat at a booth. it was kind of like orgnaized chaos, but it didn't bother us. we got served in a reasonable amount of time, and the food didn't take too long to come out. the staff was very welcoming. we orders a fred's burger with cheese and fries to share. the burger was extremely juicy and flavorful. nothing gourmet, but wonderful. the fries were good old fashioned fries, withe the right amount of seasoning and crunch. splitting the meal worked out great, because it was just the right amount. we would definitely go back.

so-so burgers. my hubby and i ate here the other evening. we ate in the covered "overflow" seating which wasn't too bad. we each ordered a burger- me, the swiss mushroom, he the regular "fredburger". mine was okay, but the bun literally broke in half after a few bites. the meat wasn't really that flavorful at all. the prices were also quite high for the quality. the fries were good, but not that good. long story short, we probably won't be back.

nothing to rave about.. well, there is obviously a lot of buzz about this place. being a non-drinker these days, my wife and i decided to pick up a cheeseburger, take it home, and see if it lived up to the hype.

the burgers were substantial (1/2 lb) and pretty good. the meat did not seem very juicy or flavorful though. i am still looking for a killer burger in fort worth. my wife put it best: "put a dutch's burger on a fred's bun and you'll have an excellent burger." that is to say: the burgers at dutch's have a better flavor. the fries were greasy and good, but overall i was underwhelmed. sad me :(

i can see how if you were drinking here and had the food brought out, you'd be pretty pleased.

forget the handicap. my brother wanted to take us to fred's for a afternoon of music and food, when we got their there were no handicap parking spots so we parked a block away. i'm tied to a wheelchair but i didn't want to be a party pooper so i went in. after 2 or 3 beers i needed to go to the restroom but when i got there the bathroom was so small i couldn't get in. i went into the back alley instead, putting myself endanger with the law and possible being mugged.

the next i called and asked the managered why and she stated that it was grandfathered and wasn't her problem. i realize that walking people don't think about these things but if you would think of a friend or family member that is handicap and don't visit fred's i would be great full.

over rated. recommended by a local. guy fiera went there. waited over 30 minutes for a table. three filled with young locals drinking only. waited longer for our order then we should have had to. burgers just ok. have had better at the chain joey garlics. would not return.

not for a poor or hungry person. wife and i had a couple hour wait for the senior fair to open the doors. i had seen fred's on the tv ch 5 food show and figured we could get a great breakfast there. wife wanted a chicken fried steak, gravy and eggs. it was $15.00 and coffee was 2 bucks each. i just had coffee and thought maybe it would be so big we could share. the 2 eggs were small, steak was about the size of my fist and the one biscuit was a 1 biter but about 2 cups of potatoes. there was really only enough for my wife so i just had the coffee. waiter was very friendly and kept the coffee coming. like i said not for the poor man.

blue cheese burger was good but pricey. atmosphere is small and more like a bar. not really a place i'd take kids because the language was a little sketchy.

our family loves fred's!!. we love to meet our adult kids and our grandkids on weekends at fred's. it's a great place to hear live music with outdoor seating. we always go when daniek katsuk is playing solo or with his former band - 'a'hummin accoustical acupunture (aaa) comes to play with katsuk. they are the best band in the metroplex. the crowd loves them and we hope fred's will book them more often. fun and happy atmosphere! we were there last friday with family and friends! loved it!

great burgers but not worth the hassle. loved the blue cheese burger & i guess the ambiance is very texas but it's too cramped inside & too loud outside. not really a great value for your money & time

burger was dry and fatty, with very little flavor. and when i say fatty i mean lots of inedible chunks of fat that have to be spit out. yeah kinda gross. the place is great, fun food choices wonderful atmosphere, great texas vibe, that is perfect to take out of town guests. i will go back to try the cfs. but definitely not a burger favorite.

fantastic!. the burgerman says this is still one of the very best burgers you will find in dfw! i'm amazed every time i go. the burgers are big, and cooked to perfection. the flavor is great and it ranks as one of the very top burger places i've ever been to. fried pickles or fries are great too! fred's is probably my favorite place to go to in fort worth, just for the music, food, and fun!

slipping. used to love fred's, but all the attention it has received has caused the whole scene to change. food quality slipping as well.
