aplaceto get ripped off then drunk, not to eat. it's too bad that philly's german restaurants are little more than places to go to get loaded. i had expected more in the food department from a starr restaurant than from, say brauhaus schmitz, but in fact thisplaceoffers even less. the menu is basically a downmarket bar (no gastro-pub here) with sausages, hamburgers and only one real dish (jaegerschnitzel). they are all served on paper with plastic utensils and it's self-serve too. prices have not been moderated to reflect this rough and ready service. sausages were good but the schnitzel seemed to have been made yesterday and reheated in a microwave. it was served with so little sauce that it was comical. and didn't somebody tell them it was supposed to have mushrooms? or would a couple of those have ruined starr's profit margin?
