the torch doha
the first buffet i had in doha was in here 4 years ago.
i love this place because its quiet and its feels exclusive plus i admire how thetorchlooks like -modern.
the flying carpet have varieties of breakfast choices to choose from. im happy because they serve fried rice too!!! i know its weird for some but growing up in the philippines, rice is our staple food and we start our day with it. the place also have a live cooking station in how you wanted to have your eggs done.

it was my birthday when i went back here and had breakfast. im happy with their service. the guy who assisted with out needs even offered plates and cutleries for my birthday cake. it was awesome. i will definitely come back and recommend this place.

aspire tower is a 300-meter-tall hotel, currently the tallest in qatar. it was the symbol oftorchon the 2006 asian games and  as the landmark of the event, it can be seen in different parts of doha. hence it is also known as thetorchdoha. being intrigued by this iconic tower, i first fed my curiosity years ago when my girl-friends and i booked a dinner at three-sixty revolving restaurant – a fine dining restaurant inside thetorchwhich offers a panoramic view of doha. it was indeed a magnificent night as we look around the luxurious hotel.

had been here recently. the ambience is good. i personally feel the buffet spread for dinner as well as breakfast is not that great. desserts were good during dinner & baked food items from the breakfast was spectacular. we weren’t happy with the dinner choices available. however breakfast looked far better. smoked salmon wasn’t fresh. the grilled chicken with mushroom sauce was too tough to have it.
the restaurant is on the m2 level (2nd floor). if your staying at the torch, u can always go to villagio mall & have your meals coz there is wide range of restaurants to choose from. also there is a bridge connecting directly from thetorchto the villagio mall.

staff 4.5/5
ambience 4/5
food 2/5
price 2/5

cheers!!!

we had the dinner buffet here. the salads and dessert variety were good but i found the main course selection a little dissapointing. there should be more variety considering this is a 200+ buffet. the restaurant has a great ambience with the carpets on the ceiling and the charm of thetorchhotel.

my first sahoor this year was at thetorchand honestly for the price paid it was a perfect experience!

the part i loved the most was the range of salads as its sahoor and sleeping on a full belly isnt healthy, my guests and i indulged into the chicken salad, fatoosh, potato salad just to name a few!

the day we went, they had the amazing baked pasta!! we went and got that on every trip to the buffet!

they do have a small selection of the breads but the food made up for it!

they had mushroom soup which was again very flavorful!

they have a live station to cook the lamb chops for you as well as eggs both loved by one of my guests!

the servers were very helpful in serving the ordered dishes as well as having perfect timing to clear our tables! instead of standing on our heads without space like majority do, the gave us space and probably over looked our table from far which to me gives a bit of privacy!

the drinks were the usual ramadan beverages! qamardeen is perfect!! if your wanting coffee and tea that is not included in the price!

the dessert was a good selection too as it had variety keeping in mind that it is a small place compared to others and it was sahoor! the arabic sweets were spot on! they were not carried away by sugar at all!

overall, loved the sahoor there! wish i had taken more pictures!

my first ramadan last year in qatar was more a homely one and still being in the settling phases of a newbie had swarmed me. honestly, i'd not been to a single iftar!

being my second ramadan this year, i'm quite excited and enthusiastic to see how qatar hotels and restaurants treat the holy month so very special and make every little effort to express the spirit.

not being able to figure out offerings of all ranges earlier, i came up with my own customized post listing various iftars and suhoors.

my first iftar buffet this year was flying carpet at thetorchdoha - and, i can say, without a doubt, is what a start!
the torch, as it popularly is, one of the proud structures in doha has made a special place amidst the residents. their hospitality and service, too, stands out as their edifice.
