the firstbuffeti had in doha was in here 4 years ago.
i love this place because its quiet and its feels exclusive plus i admire how the torch looks like -modern.
the flying carpet have varieties of breakfast choices to choose from. im happy because they serve fried rice too!!! i know its weird for some but growing up in the philippines, rice is our staple food and we start our day with it. the place also have a live cooking station in how you wanted to have your eggs done.

it was my birthday when i went back here and had breakfast. im happy with their service. the guy who assisted with out needs even offered plates and cutleries for my birthday cake. it was awesome. i will definitely come back and recommend this place.

went here on a thursday night. i am really not a fan ofbuffetbut flying carpet’sbuffetis the best j have tried so far!

they have amazing varieties - from soups to salads, steaks to pastas, chicken to fish...you name it, they have it all!

had been here recently. the ambience is good. i personally feel thebuffetspread for dinner as well as breakfast is not that great. desserts were good during dinner & baked food items from the breakfast was spectacular. we weren’t happy with the dinner choices available. however breakfast looked far better. smoked salmon wasn’t fresh. the grilled chicken with mushroom sauce was too tough to have it.
the restaurant is on the m2 level (2nd floor). if your staying at the torch, u can always go to villagio mall & have your meals coz there is wide range of restaurants to choose from. also there is a bridge connecting directly from the torch to the villagio mall.

i had the chance to try the surf and turfbuffet. a wide selection of appetizers and main dishes , you can have your keats and seafood prepared to taste . i liked the fish syadieh one of the yummiest dishes presented

great place! ambience is nice, like the carpet theme a lot!buffetis good, many choices, absolutely loved the varieties. needs another visit.

i will write it in points covering the place, staff, food, drinks
place: decoration is awesome, new and great idea to look up and find carpets over your head, but for me the place is little bit dark, it needs more light and brightness
staff: cheerful, polite, helpful and wear smile all the time
food: (i tried chicken shawarma, rice with vermicelli, chicken, mix grill) taste is good, meat kofta is delicious, rice is well cooked, shawarma ( bread need to be toasted and reduce salad)
desert: not too much option, i tried ice cream and it was good
drinks: they have (galab, lemon and orange juice) lemon is good and the portion is small
i order red tea ( it's okay no need to rate it ;) )
overall good experience but they have to add extra options for the buffet

been there couple of times. staff were tentative all the time.buffetvariety was good .. their salad bar attractive. price will always be high as this is a five stars hotel.

thebuffetwas good, and loved those carpets over the top which really looked as if flying and reminded of aladdin's flying carpet for some reason.

food was good, costs 500qar for 2, had good expereince.

we had the dinnerbuffethere. the salads and dessert variety were good but i found the main course selection a little dissapointing. there should be more variety considering this is a 200+ buffet. the restaurant has a great ambience with the carpets on the ceiling and the charm of the torch hotel.

came here several times..it keeps getting better..
interior decorations are exeptional...the whole place is classy and cosy.
dinnerbuffetwas great. good selection of food with mix grill and seafood being served to our table.
sweets were the best

#saturday #brunch at @thetorchdoha the flying carpet. the interiors with arrays of hanging carpets and wall papers look like pages from the arabian nights. thebuffethad an impressive selection of #asian, #arabic and #international cuisine. lots of salads and appetisers to choose from. the desserts table was my favourite with fresh #crepes, ice cream, #pop corns n fountain #chocolate for the kids- we were spooky for choice. they welcome you with a #traditional drink. the service was quick n pleasant. the #chef was very interactive explaining the dishes and giving his suggestions. there is a play area for the kids to keep them entertained after they are done with their food. some of the dishes lacked #seasoning. #ummali was my favourite of the day. overall a laid back #experience.

last year my good friends took me out to the flying carpets for their tex/ mex night. we had a rally nice time.
the food was pretty good and the service the same. however, they charged for every drink you ordered and it got to be pretty expensive after paying for the buffet, water, soft drinks or juice.

this year my husband and i went to their tex/ mexbuffetand now they have some soft drinks and juice available on their buffet. it makes it a lot more enjoyable and way better on the pocket book.

my first ramadan last year in qatar was more a homely one and still being in the settling phases of a newbie had swarmed me. honestly, i'd not been to a single iftar!

being my second ramadan this year, i'm quite excited and enthusiastic to see how qatar hotels and restaurants treat the holy month so very special and make every little effort to express the spirit.

not being able to figure out offerings of all ranges earlier, i came up with my own customized post listing various iftars and suhoors.

my first iftarbuffetthis year was flying carpet at the torch doha - and, i can say, without a doubt, is what a start!
the torch, as it popularly is, one of the proud structures in doha has made a special place amidst the residents. their hospitality and service, too, stands out as their edifice.
