fish house restaurant

low quality, expensive for limit portions, and poor service.
if rating a zero was possible, this would be a zero. seafoodsoup is watered down and full of potatoes. grouper basket was very fishy and only a small amount was provided. bathroom has a strong bad smell. this place might of been good at one time, but it seems to running on past performances.

awesomeseafood!!! the best i have had in the last 1 year in us. as a person from india, was used to spicy food and this place catered well to my indian taste buds :)

poor service. i have been to this restaurant at least five times but our experience tonight was horrible!
i took my sister who was visiting from out of state. we were told upon our arrival that the only outside table available was near the entrance , literally in a bush right against a
very loud air conditioning compressor. we said it would' be ok, figuring it was outside and not being complainers.
no one asked if we were waiting until a very helpful young man took our drink order after we had been there for awhile....... he was apparently not our waiter but said he would help us. finally a girl came out of the testaurant with our glasses of wine, put them on our table, said she would be right back, acted frustrated and busy, and left. we saw an extremely young "host " walking by and asked if we could move to a better table if one opened up. he rudely said "no" because we were already seated. so we asked the hostess when she walked by the same question and he came over and rudely yelled. "they can 't move!" it was appalling! no one had even taken out food order and we left because it was so ridiculous. the waitstaff was obviously not well-trained! i'm not sure i will ever return. that 12 year old boy needs not to be there!
we then went to anotherseafoodestablishment where we had a high quality dining experience and were quite satisfied.

awesome atmosphere. beautiful location.

come in shorts or jeans,expect no ambiance or fancy fixings. this is the kind of place to enjoy an adult beverage and one of their friedseafoodbaskets most which come with fries and/slaw. good lunch place going to or from the beach.casual service and setting as well. obvious haunt for locals. look for shrimp specials. again fried is what they do best...

wings, seafood, burgers and liquor.... i wouldn't trust a review that says "afful" restaurant. learn to spell, buddy.

anyway, the fish house (like its other location in fort myers beach) has goodseafoodand wings. they now have full liquor. they are situated on the water next to a marina on bonita beach road. i really would not recommend sitting inside: it is too cold and a bit "rustic" for my taste. there is ample seating outside in both the covered and uncovered patios. this is florida, after all.

don't miss the 2-4-1 rum runners. docking is recommended only if you have a cruddy old, small boat because the docks are very small and the other boaters tend not to care if they hit you a few times. this is why we never have docked here; when going by boat i recommend the location in the marina in fmb if you have anything other than a pontoon or fishing boat.
