on my first visit to miami, finka definitely stole the show when it came to dining out! the ambiance was amazing and thefoodleft me craving to come back for more. our waiter nick was excellent and really knew the menu well, suggesting some great appetizers for the table. my main entree, brisket wonton ravioli w/ mango-cheese sauce was delicious. i had never tasted such flavor!!! highly recommend trying this dish.

very nice ambience, thefood& drinks are awesome. fantastic customer service. my favorite so far grass fed oxtail in merlot reduction with rissoto. vaca frita tostones is to die for it.

this place is overrated. your wait is very long and thefoodis not worth the wait. i was very disappointed since i like "las islas canarias" but this is a very strange mix of cuban, peruvian and korean? very strange mix. don't get me wrong i love thefoodfrom peru, cuba and korea but not mixed. their croquetas are the same from islas canarias so they are excellent.

gem! very nice and refreshing decor, not what you would typically find in kendall.  service was great andfoodwas amazing! i recommend the mac n 3 cheese, tostones topped with vaca frita and ham croquetas with some squeezed lime on top!

the wait,foodand price are not worth it. no reservations. not kid friendly. staff is friendly and attentive but everything takes long. croquetas were frozen inside. sent them back and new ones were cold inside. lived in miami for 36 years and never had a bad croqueta till now. the hummus and the mac n cheese are delicious. the bar menu is overpriced but has excellent selection of mixed drinks, whiskey, bourbon, scotch and wine. pizza and noodles are average. ox tail is great but risotto is just ok. after 3 hours of being there, had no desire for desert. overall disappointing experience. would rather drive to boca, ft. lauderdale, weston, pinecrest, dadeland, south miami, coral gables, coconut grove, wynwood or miami beach than wait 1 hour and 20 minutes to eat here again.

fusion not tradition give it a try its delicious. ok to start off if you are looking for a cuban or a peruvian place this is not that type of restaurant. this is a fusion restaurant, it's not traditional. having said that it has great food. from their pizza to their mac and cheese thefoodis delicious. each time i have gone the service has been just as good as their food. i have ordered mac n cheese, causa de pollo, tostones with vaca frita, the lomo saltado pizza and the seafoodfoodrisotto. all have been exceptional. their drinks are pricey but are also good quality.

i have gone on mondays and wednesdays and after 7:30 this place is packed which means they have to be doing something right. now when they are busy the service isn't as great but it's still not bad. you can tell they get a little overwhelmed during busier times and i expect they'll get better as they haven't been open too long. i'm very surprised how busy this place gets during the week especially considering how new they are but thats a testament to how good of a restaurant it is. the staff is very friendly and i have always been met with a smile.

while i understand every one has different experiences mine have always been pleasant accompanied with delicious food. i will continue to return as i am determined to try everything on the menu. i recommend going and if you want to avoid busy times go during the week before 7:30pm. if i had more then 2 thumbs they'd get 5 thumbs up

bad service. went the other night for dinner and although thefoodis descent the service is exceptionally horrible. the hostess was extremely rude and not accommodating at all and just ignored us when we asked to be moved to another table because ours had bad chairs. she simply denied the request, ignored us and went back to chit chat with the other hostess. the servers did not dedicate time to us and only came by about twice including initially and to bring us the bill and we were there 2.5 hours. our drinks were not refilled timely and even once when we shouted out to the server, who was across the hall, he looked over at us and said he would need a few minutes before he could come over to see what we wanted. i give this place an f in service which is a shame because one bartender was nice and thefoodis pretty good. but, when you go out to dine you expect to be treated well and here the hostess' and servers are apparently not up to the task. i think that this could be changed by hiring mature hostess that have experience in restaurants and perhaps training the servers to be more attentive to their tables. if the server issues are being caused by lack of personnel, then management needs to step in and do whatever necessary, whether to help out or hire more people.

sunshine. the rest. is very nice and all the servers were great.but thefoodis not what at should be. is not cubana or peruvian is like left over put together. the bar didn't known what a black russia was. once is more than enough. sorry but

place is nice,foodso so. i went to finka thinking it would be wonderful since the family owns isla canaria, but was disappointed with the quality/taste of the peruvian appetizers (ceviche and tiraditos). the vaca frita and manchego pizzas were good. truffle fries...blah. the drinks are incredibly expensive. the best part was our server and the establisent is tastefully decorated. will i go back? doubt it which is sad since i live close and really wanted it to be great

good eating. went to finka on opening day (my bad) it was a mad house. i gave my name to the hostess and 20 minutes later my son went to check and she didn't find our names. after our party of 4 were sited, we order our drinks and they took forever, thefoodwas very good, the waiter gave us excellent service. my sister's ceviche was very tasty and so was my tamal en cazuela. their desert menu its not extensive, i had the flan, not impressed. even though the owners are experience restaurant people, i think they underestimated the overwhelming response to this restaurant in an area that its starved for this type of restaurants. i will go back and give it another try (i'll give it a few weeks).

the new spot in town.. what a great spot for lunch or dinner. great all around.foodis reasonably priced, and very very good! drink menu is also very extensive where you will find something for everyone in your table. overall a+
