fellini's

always great food and great service!. we have never been disappointed at fellinis. the food and service has always been excellent. i had the linguine with clam sauce today and it was fabulous. therestaurantis a classic!

their pizzas are the best. i have tried the different pizzas and love all of them. the crust is perfect and the toppings are always fresh and delicious

restaurant inappropriate for children. i went to fellini's for the first time last night with my wife, father and nice year old twins. i was disgusted to find incredibly erotic and potentially pornographic photographs of naked women in erotic poses in the mens room. one featured what looked to be an under age teenager with her shirt off stroking a cat in her lap. i don't consider myself a conservative, but these images were completely inappropriate for a 9 year old boy. if they were in a bar that was not expected to have young children, that would be one thing. but these were completely out of what would be considered tasteful for a family restaurant. my children were very embarrassed and ran out of the bathroom. i confronted the owner and she retorted that these might be images that one might find in the chrysler museum. i responded that one has the choice to take your children to an erotic exhibit at the chrysler because you know what you are getting into. not so the bathroom at a restaurant. also, if they were so artistic, why did she hide them in the bathroom instead of the front of the house? i asked her if she would share these images with her grandchildren and she did not respond. i would strongly urge not frequenting thisrestaurantwith children, or at all due to the way she is exposing other peoples children to images they are too young to see. my wife reported that there were similarly erotic images in the women's room, but as is the double standard, they did not show full frontal nudity of men. but they were still inappropriate for young girls.

i miss the old days. things were once very fresh tasting there, now it's lack luster and oily. a note to urban spoon...thisrestaurantdoes not come close to being in ghent.

personal favorite. every time i go home to norfolk, i have to eat here. it's just ingrained in me i guess...getting two degrees at odu probably did it to me. i love their pizzas, i've tried every one and never been disappointed. the tomato bisque soup is also a tradition for me. lovely littlerestaurantthat remains sophisticated but still casual.

warning!. do not order both a burger and a salad! both are freshly made and delicious, but both are huge and you will end up leaving part of your meal or taking a bit home with you. there are a number of intresting and creative types of burgers, but the plain burger with tomatoes, letttuce and mayo is my favorite, and it is huge. and it is tasty.

their pizzas are not the traditional pizzarestauranttype pizza's. with all due respect to a group of people i sometimes admire, i refer to the fellini's pizzas as "yuppie pizzas." that does not make them any less delicious. my favorite is called, i think, the white pizza and it is a delicious combo of three white cheeses with a bit of olive oil and garlic to enhance the flavor. delicious! the spinach pizza with garlic is also fantastic, as are the others i tried; there is a good choice, so you are bound to find one that appeals to you.

service has been good. the only drawback, so far as i am concerned, is that therestaurantis always really noisy, so carrying on a conversation is not always easy, but, if you are eating, there is no need to talk, right?
