i agree with larry, nothing special. nice atmosphere (although too cold) but the food is average at best. the price listed is misleading too- we spent $100 with one beer.
nothing on menu worth mentioning- nothing "bad" but nothing note worthy either. can't imagine where high ratings came from. houston has too manygreatrestaurants to revisit this one.

great date night place. we had the spinach dip for an appetizer and it was great. our steaks were wonderful and the mac and cheese is out of this world.greatwine and cognac selections.

great value. underpriced!greatfood! can't find this experience anywhere else in houston.

very good atmosphere and flavours. as you arrive at the location, free valet parking is offered. started with bbq bone marrow which was pretty good, but has the texture of pure fat. also had the beef tartar, and was also pretty decent. for mains, had the kobe beef burger with fries, which was cooked to perfection. definitely very juicy, and cooked the way i like it (medium rare). ended off with a sticky toffee pudding, topped with a pistacio ice cream which was very good as well, not too sweet. overall, agreatexperience and would go back for the burger..

houston restaurant week visit. bwt is our 3rd visit for the houston restauarant week and by far, has been the greatest value,greatservice, and extremely good food! we were expecting portions to be severed for the promotion but with our surprise, it was the same, if not more! our party of 4 (3 of us have never been there) enjoyed the food, atmosphere, andgreatservice. they were on point with replacing each of our plates, untensils, and refilled our drinks. besides the loudness of the room, we dearly enjoyed the visit and will be coming back again.

very disappointing. very disappointing experience last friday night. my husband and i have been here several times before withgreatresults. we have raved about this place to others so we brought two friends with us and were very embarassed. the service was terrible - we were rushed throughout the whole meal - in fact one friend was still cutting his steak and they tried to take the plate away from him. also, he had ordered his steak rare and received it medium well and had to send it back. another friend ordered the kobe burger and it was raw and couldn't be eaten. they were out of certain liquors but i think they just didn't want to make my cocktail which is a speciality of the restaurant. where was evan? also every 5 minutes they came to refresh our water and they had provided a carafe on the table so they continually interrupted our conversation - guess they really wanted us to leave and they were not busy (this was early on friday). we were very glad to leave. if i had never been to this restaurant before i would never return. i know the two friends we brought stated they would never come back. i hate to see this happen to agreatrestaurant. i went to the website hoping there was a place to provide feedback because i want them to succeed but there was no place for comments.

excellent food and service. we recently had a wonderful meal at this fine establishment. we heard a review on the 740am and tried it that same day.greatfood and the wait staff was excellent. when they found out we came all the way from kingwood after hearing the radio show they comp'ed us dessert. definitely go again. thanks branch water!
