one of the ten restaurants that i take out of town visitors to, in order to give a representation of what houston has to offer for dining. this is comfort food in a very nice place with a waitstaff that is friendly and attentive. i always feelgoodwhen i dine here. on the most recent visit, there was agoodtortilla soup and a chicken fried steak with a crispy crust atop mashed potatoes. the bacon in the mashed potatoes took over as the flavor component and i would probably investigate something else next time if i wasn't in a bacon mood. but one would be hard pressed to find a dud on this menu. at the time of this writing they have retired their fried chicken entree. but when it comes back on the menu, i recommend it.

verygoodatmosphere and flavours. as you arrive at the location, free valet parking is offered. started with bbq bone marrow which was pretty good, but has the texture of pure fat. also had the beef tartar, and was also pretty decent. for mains, had the kobe beef burger with fries, which was cooked to perfection. definitely very juicy, and cooked the way i like it (medium rare). ended off with a sticky toffee pudding, topped with a pistacio ice cream which was verygoodas well, not too sweet. overall, a great experience and would go back for the burger..

houston restaurant week visit. bwt is our 3rd visit for the houston restauarant week and by far, has been the greatest value, great service, and extremelygoodfood! we were expecting portions to be severed for the promotion but with our surprise, it was the same, if not more! our party of 4 (3 of us have never been there) enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and great service. they were on point with replacing each of our plates, untensils, and refilled our drinks. besides the loudness of the room, we dearly enjoyed the visit and will be coming back again.
