with estiatorio milos, you take the good with the bad. unfortunately for us, there was more bad then good. my party of 5 arrived around 8:30 and were seated in about 15 minutes. (it was a sunday) the servers were all very nice and friendly and the food was quite good. we ordered the calamari for an appetizer (really good) and two whole fishes, a black bass and a red snapper, to be split among us. all the food was delicious and well made. i wish the review could end there, but that is not the case. the service was just too inconsistent. after being seated, we waited 10 minutes just to be greeted. then another 15 minutes to get water. we still hadn't received even a menu! the servers, while extra friendly, waste too much time describing their "viewing menu" and how the restaurant acquires the fish. plus, they would disappear for long stretches of time. and the food just takes too long to get to the table. time is not a priority to this restaurant. everything just takes too long. plus, it is very over priced. each whole fish was about $150 and don't get me started on a small plate of grilled vegetables for $18.greatfood,friendly staff, and a nice setting...just prepare to leave with an empty wallet and a few hours later than you planned.

outstanding restaurant. having read some of these bifurcated reviews, we were nervous about what to expect - but i must tell you - the restaurant was amazing. we are regular guests of some of the best greek restaurants throughout the world - and this place is right up there. service was outstanding, aaron the gm and his 2i.c. sarah were terrific, chris the sommelier was agreatcredit to the restaurant, perfect service from neil who was extremely knowledgeable; ambience superb and the food excellent right round. a definite 9 out 10 in our books and i suggest you try it. better book though - we used opentable.com

we had a group of 4 for dinner and it was excellent. going to the fresh fish area, selecting the fish for our "rock salt" preparation... the experience, the ambiance, everything combined made for agreatdinner

wish i went for lunch. dinner was super expensive thats saying a lot from me. and the only reason i say that is because everyone raves about the lunch menu with the samegreatfood at a discounted price. next time.

tasty flavorful food.greatlunch, fish had quite a few bones in it, but the waiter warned me of this beforehand. ended up being an $80 lunch for 2 people with the wine pairing, reasonably priced and full of flavor.

not a good experience. we had a reservation and went there expecting agreatmeal. it was very disappointing and extremely expensive. several dishes we wanted were no longer available even though we called ahead of time to check. the waiter argued to us and then stated that the chef is proud to run out of certain dishes. when i asked for asecond martini, it came totally different. the waiter insisted i was wrong. the head waiter finally corrected her. given what we paid (and it was a lot!) i would expect waiters to be polite and the menu to list dishes that are available. never again!

milo's. wonderful prix fixe menu for lunch, agreatvalue if you are on a budget. also, the best calamari in town.

2011 lunch. the much touted 20.11 lunch at milos. nice space. server seemed awkward, more on that later. first, grilled sourdough bread and good olive oil arrive. we're hopeful.

apps - meze plate is a beautiful presentation, and quite delicious in its 3 different spreads and a chunk of smooth feta. the scallop appetizer holds all of 2 medium/small scallops. ah, ok. the scallops are excellent, but just 2? and the rest of the plate is a meaningless and odd mix of grapefruit slices and raw onions. the plate felt like a toss-off.

main plate - excellent sea bass,greatspice and wonderful presentation. shrimp - a whopping 3 small shrimp with tomatoes, a few diced green peppers and a couple of tiny chunks of feta. ah, not so ok. i recognize it's lunch but even if you combine the scallops and shrimp you still have a light main course.

dessert - well, it took 45 minutes from the main plate to the dessert. our waiter looked confused, we could see him checking the order to figure out what happened. there were only 2 desserts available, we got one of each. not too difficult. he also completely forgot my iced tea which never arrived, but also wasn't on the check. a different server also took our payment when it sat too long on the table. luckily it's a nice space and we weren't in a hurry. but the service was seriously lacking.

anyway, when the desserts did arrive, pretty boring. greek yogurt with fruit reduction swirl and a dull walnut cake (again quite small).

so one meal was -greatapp, nice fish main, dull dessert. the other meal was - tasty but small app, small and dull main, small and dull dessert. that and weak service for $50? not again, there are better lunches to be had in lv.

great food. my husband and i ate here on 28th july and found the fresh fish and beautiful oysters a standout. we are foodies from australia and tried the fish called skorpeno on the basis of ourgreatserver telling us about the delicious flavor( the fish only eats crustaceans) and he was right. we have a large greek population in melbourne but the delicate style and freshness was simply wonderful.

had dinner here with a group of friends and i have to say it was agreatexperience...the food wasgreatasgreatas their nyc place and the place is just beautiful! we will be back next time we are in vegas!!!
