since 1902; not bad for basic pub food. neighborhood cafe for 107 years (founded 1902). salads, fried seafood platters and po boys all $9-13. very basic menu. pretty cool spot with cobblestone streets in warehouse district. thought the food was above average for pub fare. the buffalo shrimp salad ($13 in 09 at dinner) was decent: large portion, and the buffalo sauce was actually orange in color, buffalo-y in flavor, and hot. but they didn't de-vein the jumbo fried shrimp in it, and the bleu cheese dressing was packaged. fries were beefy and well-seasoned. mostly a bar, so kids need toeaton the ample sidewalk patio seating. liked the mosaic in front of the restaurant. 9/09.
