blackened seafood. not many places offer blackened seafood as an option in new orleans, and even fewer places do actual blackened seafood instead of just burning it and calling it blackened. ernst has blackened seafood that seems to be cooked and seasoned correctly. i won't go so far as to call it gourmet or ground-breaking, but it was yummy. my table also had the crawfish monica, which was rich, filling, and tasty. our server was attentive, and our overall experience was good.
