had a great friday lunch with a couple of friends last week. . the new location is stunning. beautifully designed into 3 areas all with their own character and ambience . and what a brilliant bar.!. a long spectacular setup bustling with energy..tables well spaced. not covid spacing, just sensible distances between groups so conversation can be heard. .. food was excellent served by really competent wait staff who were pleasant, efficient and had great timing .. the menu is not overly big but you'd be a very hard to please diner if you couldn't find something to please.. there is agoodwine list.. again , not too big nor intimidating .... really rather hard to find a fault..just one.. to do with chewing gum ! however- bravo entrecote. i'll certainly return as will my guests..

we came here for the steak it was truly delightful. however if it was a bit hotter it would have been perfect. we sampled the snails which were garlicky and sogoodwith some crunchy bread. great parisian bistro feel.

only highlights of dining at entrecôte are the extremelygoodcomplimentary bread and butter,goodservice and salad that accompanied the steak frites. for the steak itself, ordered it medium rare, but was tough and a little dried. whereas the frites were nothing to shout about. the quality of the dish is not worth the price. but the complimentary bread though, warm and fluffy on the inside and crunchy outside, was sooo good!

a very unexpected choice for dinner a few weeks back. from the moment i walked in i fell in love and i really hoped the food was asgoodas the ambience, indeed it was. can not wait to go back.

mixed. steak was so tender - as a beef producer, could not fault it. however the sauce with it did nothing for it. salad/chips/wine allgood- but there was something lacking about the place...

had a really pleasant dinner here with my parents for my last day of being a teenager (before my inevitable quarterlife crisis kicks in!!) located conveniently near my place, this french restaurant is set in a gorgeous old house, dimly yet beautifully lit, the wait staff were very professional. my rare steak frites was a real treat with a delicious 'secret' sauce, i was tasting pepper, tarragon and egg, don't know what else though! the frites were perhaps a tiny bit too salty butgoodnonetheless and the fresh salad was yummy with radish and walnuts added to lettuce. was the first time i've eaten steak and i loved how it was cooked just on rare the way i requested it. i had a le paon cocktail with gin, creme de violette, cointreau and citron and it was divine :d we all shared a creme brûlée for dessert which was truly silky and gorgeous but too full to finish it! overall a very indulgent (and way pricey) experience! not my favourite cuisine as it is very rich, and the atmosphere is really centered around high dining etiquette, but i loved the overall experience. would come back for afternoon or brunch cocktails!

the most overrated place in melbourne! i feel sorry for people that come here and are fooled that this isgoodfood. i had the zucchini and snap pea salad and poached chicken for main. you would get better food on a cruise ship, it was cold and the plate was cold, does the food come in prepped in a warehouse? i couldn't order the steak as the her butter has anchovy in it not that the waiter even knew this - $80 still hungry, service was ok. they are not winning any awards here for the food, expectation was high and unfortunately below average, go elsewhere, the food is pre-packaged, tiny serves and way too hot inside, no air con - such a horrible experience

oui oui oui!!! i went to entrecôte to try the steak frites because i'd heard about it from friends, and it did not disappoint. just a reallygoodcombination: juicy meat, a super sauce and nice shoestring fries. all washed down with a nice bottle of french red. excellent work guys!

this place has to be the most overrated restaurant in melbourne. the most arrogant, abrupt staff with zero customer service skills. this is the second time i’ve experienced such bad customer service and had to leave a review. at the end of the day , no matter howgoodyour food is , if you can’t welcome and respect your customers and deliver high level service you may as well shut your doors. if you want to feel uncomfortable, looked down and not welcome , this place is for you. my friends and family would take our business somewhere else , to down to earth businesses that provides not onlygoodfood but amazing customer service.

a very disappointing visit to entrecôte on sunday has ensured we will not be returning customers. we had a little of our food and champagne to finish but the manager (angel) was adamant she needed the table back to set up for lunch service. there are so many ways of saying the same thing and we found her to be quite rude, abrupt and argumentative. if handled differently, we could have been up and out in a minute or two and still loyal customers.goodluck in your new premises in prahran but we will not be visiting and are longer fans of entrecôte.

got to love the fully garb waiters ... fine dining style even for takeaway; white shirt, black pants and vest!
7/10 $7.90 for a takeaway, short fat, slightly burnt pasty sausage roll, it's isgoodthough, but is it worth that much?
6/10 for the latte

what a disappointment. i have wanted to try here for a long time. we were seated. thrown a drink menu. had to ask to order drinks. then had to ask for agoodmenu. bread came. no bread plates. no bread knife. my martini was half a martini. glass just filled half way. small glass. at $23 they could at least fill the glass. steak came and was cold and very bland. waste of money. seriously go to squires loft for a cheaper and better steak. never going back!

i used to absolutely adore entrecôte since discovering it 3 years ago but returned today for their lunch service and was woefully disappointed. the service was so poor, three waitresses attending the busy outside area and instead of focusing on their customers they used every opportunity to have agoodchat whenever they could. we had to wave them over to order after sitting down for about 20 minutes. when they brought the napkins and cutlery over the waitress didn’t bother to clear the 3 empty coffee cups on the table nor refill our empty water bottle.

when our food arrived i was just stunned by my plate as pictured, each time i have dined at entrecôte i always order the steak frites as it is always such a winner but today for my $46.90 i was served a sad piece of meat that wasn’t even well rested and bled all over and a hastily slapped on green sauce.

when we went to pay the maître d’ said we could split the bill “if you all know the amount you’re paying” but didn’t even provide us with a copy of the bill until i prompted her for it. sorry entrecôte, i used to be a huge fan and would recommend you to anyone who asked where they could find great french food in melbourne but not anymore. it doesn’t matter howgoodyour food is, if your service is rubbish you’ve ruined the diners experience.

the perfect coffee spot when you are walking the tan. i love that they have a takeaway window out the back and a beautiful french-style dine-in area in the front.

soy latte was spot on. the decor is very european - as if you are stepping into a cafe in paris. plenty of cute dogs to pat, which is always agoodthing.

my sister kept telling me howgoodthis place was. service, ambiance and taste of food was excellent, except the way the steak was cooked. super tough and dry, therefore i couldn't agree with her and enjoy this meal. however, i'd like to give this place another go, maybe it was a one off.
