it's been a bit since i did a restaurant review - and by a bit - i mean a few weeks! since then i celebrated my 10 year blog-a-versary! hard to believe thefoodhussy was born in 2008 - but she was! i've grown a lot since then - i've visited hundreds of restaurants and written a couple thousand blog posts! (seriously!) so why not throw another one at ya?

restaurant was more than 1/2 empty when we arrived. it took 20 or more minutes to be greeted and that was after we waved our arms for attention. we ordered and i asked the manager if they used a lot of black beans in the salad and told him i don't like them and he said there would be a few. we get the salad,, there were hundreds. the tomato you could not even penetrated with your fork. it was awful. my husbands taco was dry. never again! he didn't even take off my salad which i did not even try. horrible.badfoodservice and management.

one of my favorites in blue ash, i really enjoy having a drink at the bar and then eating on the terrace. thefoodis fantastic and good portions for the money. the owner sammy takes pride in his restaurant and it shows, its very clean and the staff is very accommodating. try the owners family brand of tequila..."dos oros".

best margaritas. my friends and i have gone here once a week during happy hour for several years! i can always depend on the very best margaritas i have ever tasted. free chips and salsa keep coming, too! the guacamole is okay and so is the cheese dip. they will custom create for you anything you specify. thefoodis fine, but happy hour is our reason for returning.

must be the location??. can't believe how expensive this place is. chips and salsa are great but thefoodis just whatever. been to better "authentic" mexican joints that have more flavor, portions that could feed you for days and most importantly....cheaper!!

falling short. this place used to be a favorite of mine, eating there since i began working in blue ash 6 years ago. it is getting worse each time i go now. it used to be packed at lunch time, now it is a ghost town when i go. that should tell them something, right? thefoodwas cold today. they are putting mushrooms in the chicken filling, so that it only tastes like mushrooms? staff friendly, but prices keep going up and taste and quality is going way down.

i don't know who tammy is that said thefoodis horrible at el pueblo, but she obviously has no taste or experience with this amazing, authentic and very friendly mexican restaurant. my family and i frequent el pueblo at least twice a month and the service is always wonderful, thefoodincredible, and the environment fun and perfect for a family dinner or a friend get together. the staff has become like family. i couldn't imagine anyone saying an unkind word about this place! we love you el pueblo and we'll be coming back soon!

authentic, friendly, fun and our favorite place to eat! having lived in new mexico, our family has been long searching for a place like el pueblo. in other words, we were looking for something that truly tasted or even resembled the delicious fare we remembered. el pueblo not only proves that real mexicanfoodcan be found in cincinnati, with it's expansive menu options and addicting homemade chips and salsa, it has truly become the one place our whole family loves to gather, and on a very regular basis! the staff makes you feel at home and oh-so-welcome, too. el pueblo is the place we've been searching for, a place of laughter, great service and unbelievably tastyfood-- the kind you never forget!

awful!!! train wreck! hot mess!!!. tonight was our first experience at ep, and will certainly be our last. apparently they were running some special and so everyone in the world was there. i was willing to wait for a table though. when we arrived, there were two customers standing at the host desk waiting to pick up carry out orders so we got in line behind them. shortly after, two other couples arrived and stood behind us. on several occasions, at least 3-4 employees looked right at all of us standing there but were apparently too busy to help us.... although i really don't understand this - it takes seconds to get a person's name and party size.

after a while, 3 employees came over to the host desk and began debating what party to call next. they were working off a scrap of paper that they'd been using to keep track of people, when they finished deliberating, one of them simply called the party's name out, to all of us standing in their little waiting area (6x10 square feet) - who were still waiting to put our names in. because the waiting space was so cramped, most people waiting for tables were outside on the patio. but the host did not go out there and call the names, and so when the person didn't respond (cause its pretty hard to hear someone yelling your name when you are outside and they are inside a busy restaurant), he just moved on to the next party. meanwhile, other people from the patio were constantly coming in and out checking to see if their name had been called/would be called, since they were outside where they couldn't hear the host. so there was this constant flow of traffic and confusion in and out of this little space, all while we were just trying to put our name in.

finally someone aknowledged one of the carryout people ahead of us and i heard her explain that she'd called in her order almost an hour ago. the guy came back with herfood(probably cold), and then disappeared. from that point on, no one returned to the host desk.

take note here folks. i am not complaining about having to wait for a table. it never got to that point because no one greeted us or took our names down to wait for a seat. we stood there for 20 minutes! the other person in front of us was still there waiting for her carryout order when we decided to leave.

never in my life have i ever seen such a train wreck. nor have i ever had to wait so long just to put my name in!!!! 20 minutes is entirely too long to stand and wait for a host to show up and do his job. i dont care how busy you are, you have time to write my name on your little scrap of paper!!! ridiculous! their process for greeting and managing their flow of customers is beyond inefficient and their alleged "host(s)" were completely incompetent.

i will never go back. ever.
