great food and service. the title says it all. our waiter was great, kept my glass filled and always scores points with me. the food was better than i expected. i had the mole publano (chicken with mole sauce) and my better half had the san jose special (chicken with onions, mushrooms and cheese). both the chickens were moist, tender and flavorful. will definitely add this place to the rotation.

loud!. the food is good but i hate the interior of this place. it is a small square room packed full of people and seams dirty. used to be a pizza hut. the noise and smells just reflect off the walls it seems and almost makes it unbearable. you smell like an onion enchilada when you leave there as well. not as bad in the summer when you can at least sit outside. the food is better than most other local mexican places though, but i think i will wait until summer to eat there again if i ever do. have started to go to el rancho grande by the kenwood mall instead as the restaurant is much nicer and food is the same..

best mex in cincinnati. i love good tex-mex and cincinnati has seen a number of mexican restaurant openings in recent years. el pueblo, located in what was obviously (from its distinctive building style) once a pizza hut location, is my favorite. the menu features all kinds of fresh, expertly seasoned favorites and service is always fast and friendly. no matter how busy they are at lunch time, they always have a table and make time to make you feel welcome.

el pueblo is located "off the main drag," near but not in blue ash's central business district, but it is well worth taking the time to find.

very good!. after quite a few delays we finally got out to el pueblo. definitely worth it! the menu is very well rounded and the food and service were both excellent. my only complaint was the acoustics, something which i've grown more and more sensitive to through the years. when the dining area was full it was very difficult to converse. but that is a relatively minor complaint.

we shared a queso fundido with chorizo - excellent. i had the chimis and companion had fajitas. both were very well prepared, delicious and well presented - though the fajitas seem to be problematic for the smoke detector :) the texas margis were very tasty and well priced.

in all it was an excellent outing - tasty food and attentive service from vincente.

excellent -- definitely among the best. first visit to el pueblo today. place was packed for friday lunch, but service was perfect. salsa was very good, and different from what i've had at other restaurants. went with a couple of el rancho grande devotees who both agreed the food was very good despite their expectations that it wouldn't come close to their favorite.

i had the tacos al chencho, which were one of the best mexican dishes i've ever had, and i've had a lot. admittedly, i was hesitant when i saw feta cheese as one of the ingredients, but that uncertainty absolutely disappeared with the first bite. one of those that really catches you by surprise. outstanding, rich unique taste. presentation, portion and temperature were all perfect. the price was a steal. unbelievable value.

i will definitely be back. my wife is a big fan of fish tacos, but has been unable to find good ones here in cincinnati since la salsa left. fingers crossed that el pueblo can deliver those for her in the same way they won me over.

i don't review many mexican restaurants. they tend to be so similar, with only small variations in quality or selection, that i find i have little new to say. but so many people have told me how much they love a particular mexican restaurant in blue ash t

taco bell is better. seriously, taco bell has better food at better prices. this place is (i think) an old pizza hut that was converted to a mexican restaurant. everyone sits in one horribly loud room and it is difficult if not impossible to talk to the people at your own table because of the noise problem.

the service was exceptionally prompt - i will give them that but that was the only good thing about the place. the food was really awful - we ordered fajitas for two and we barely ate anything on our plates. the food was unappealing in presentation as well as taste and everything looked like it had come out of a can some time ago.

the beans and rice were just greasy and gross and the fajita meat was tough and just not good. we came from out of town and had read some good reviews so we were very disappointed by the experience. this restaurant is so so loud and not in a good, fun, 'lets have a corona and eat some chips and salsa in an authentic mexican restaurant' kind of way.

el pueblo - sorry...the servers were nice and efficient and i am sure you're trying really hard. but you gotta work on food quality and atmosphere.

best mexican restuarnt that i have found in cincinnati. i had the tacos al chencho, soft corn tortillas filled with grilled marinated chicken and topped with fresh cilantro and feta cheese. holly had the grilled shrimp stuffed poblano. it was all delicious.

some of the best mexican in cincinnati. this is one of my favorite restaurants in cincinnati. sure there might be more authentically decorated mexican restaurants around, but you will be hard pressed to find better mexican food this side of the mississippi.

first off, i grew up on the west coast and i'm absolutely no stranger to any form of latin cuisine. i've eaten barbecued iguana and know what spices go into a really good mole.

this is solid mexican fare. the most impressive thing i can say about the food is that it's never the same twice. don't get me wrong, it's always great, but this is the real deal. ingredients are fresh and vary with the season. the salsa has a fire-roasted taste. the chicken is tender and perfectly seasoned. the tamales (my personal favorite) are moist and very meaty.

the service is always great, the drinks cold and refreshing and the food hot and inviting.

for those of you who really like mexican, don't miss this treasure. you may have driven by it a hundred times, but don't deny your palate this treat any longer.

your mileage may vary.

favorite casual spot. the pueblo quesadilla is fantastic. lots of veggies and meat ( i do a mix of chicken and steak). the staff is amazing and always super friendly. prices are spot on and they have good drink specials throughout the week. over the years it has definitely risen in popularity, so waiting for a table is a possibility. the "patio" is great in the summer too over a pitcher of margaritas:)

mediocre. chips were warm and tasty, and so was salsa but it went down from there. guacamole was way too lemony and the orders we had of cheese quesadias had velveta like cheese on it.

however, we had fast and friendly service and rice and beans were good.
