fiesta fifty. david and hisstaffwere awesome in catering our 50th wedding anniversary! they graciously served 160 guests at our outdoor party. the attention to detail from buffet lines of beef and chicken fajitas, another with ice tea and all its accompaniments, to another with chips, queso, and guacamole were spaced for ease of serving our guests.

el gabacho does not serve on styrofoam but elegant white silver rimmed plastic plates. i was overwhelmed by their attention to detail, even returning to the restaurant to bring back fresh tortillas when they ran short. it seems everyone was enjoying the delicious food and one guest wrote to say he returned for a second "helpin'"!

i truly have never experienced a buffet and catered event that ran like clockwork - from a visit by david a week early to plan the party flow to visits during the day for set up. the tables were bussed and trash taken away, david, his wife, and hisstaffdid an awesome job! the guests continue to remark about the enjoyable evening and the delicious food!

this is the worst restaurant experience i have had in a long time. let's start with the chips that they throw on your table and sling the sauce on it as well. they are fried in oil that taste very old. then the tacos come out and the ground meat taste and smells as if it came from a can. the waitstaffcan not remember the orders and to top it off once telling them the food was bad they took ten minutes to bring the check! i will never eat here again.

the best kept secret in arlington!. this is one of the best mexican places i have visited in a long long time! thestaffand service is excellent! the squirrels (swirls) and food are awesome.... the real plus is the women can go shopping while the guys have a drink or two : ))

favorite mexican restaurant. great lunch menu. i use to work in an office down the street and visited weekly. although i'm in south arlington/mansfield isd i still go on my day off. it's my mother's favorite too. her 75th birthday was today so we stopped in for a late lunch. david, the owner, who always recognizes us came over with hisstaffand sang "happy bday" and surprised her with a wonderful sopapailla. we always enjoy shopping in the brownstone afterwards.

awesome. david and hisstaff(wally and the girls)are great the skillet with the beef i love! it's also not bad that my wife and lil girl can shop at the brownstone while i get a beer in the bar and watch some sports.i live on the south arlington mansfield border and never think it's to far to go for a meal.thanks again david.

still like it. well i was the first to comment on this place back on september 21, 2008. and although just like any restaurant, there have been less than 100% visits i still go on a regular basis. well not so much recently as i've been out of town but i plan to go today and get one of my favorite dishes, the skillet flameado. (thanks ryan). yes they have had new waitresses, yes they have kinks in their system...but honestly, who doesn't? i will continue to go to this place for as long as they will have me (and that's sometimes in question since i will drink at the bar till closing time, lol) david the owner is one of the nicest guys i've come across and no matter who is tending bar they are always ready with my shot of crown when i come in. hell they even gave me a nick name.

loved it.. i have been to el gabacho on several occasions, not only by myself but with a date and with friends, every time has been fantastic. the food is great and thestaffis very friendly. i tend to try to get outside seating but have eaten inside as well (although inside feels like the patio of a house due to the decor). i strongly recommend this for a date or just casual dining, it's very nice and upscale without the requirements of a suite and tie.
