edley's bar-b-que

this place has been voted best in nashville for the last three years. i had the pork plate and it was outstanding! the sauce is delicious, potato salad was great, and the baked beans were the best i have had anywhere. go early as the lines can be long. definitely worth the wait.

great...at first. been to edley's three times now, the first two times they hit major home runs. the last trip wasn't too great. went with the same friend who had been with me the previous two times and we both said had we not eaten there before we wouldn't be going back.

portions were noticeably smaller, pork was greasy and fatty, cornbread was soggy and the sides were tasteless.

sure hope it was just a bad day. will definitely go back but if not impressed it might get taken off the lunch list.

wow, tasty damn bbq. this place is a must try! some of the tastiest bbq and sides i've had in quite a while. nothing tasted like it came out of a can or box either. brisket was outstanding and the platter portion was over the top. i rocked the black eyed peas and mac n cheese and thought bought we awesome! the portions on the sides look small when they come out but with all the meat you get they are the perfect size. and the cornbread... hot damn!! nice and thick, a little bit sweet, a little spicy and perfectly crisp. can't wait for my second visit so i can try a pork sandwich!

it is a busy spot so if you show up at noon expect a crowd. there was a line at or out the door from 11:45 to about 12:30. worth the wait though.

excellent food. decided to try out the new restaurant in east nashville and was really impressed with the food. the staff was very friendly and the patio is awesome. cant wait to eat there again.

packed house but pretty good. try the brisket it's good!

yuck!. the beans were good. buy those and get your food elsewhere.
this was just not quality bbq at all! they don't even serve ribs until the dinner hour?!
bbq ribs are not their main menu item yet they claim to be a bbq place?!
good grief. the pork plate was a minced up batch of goo. the potato salad was a lump of tasteless paste.
they claim to be a memphis style place. nononono not even. even the memphis gas stations have better bbq.
i don't drink but they looked like they had a good beer list. and they had several decent whiskey's on display.
so if you go then buy the beans and whiskey. then blow off the rest.

worth the wait!. get there before the line becomes too long. overall edley's has a variety of great food bbq with a southern flare. brisket nachos, ribs, smoked chicken sandwich and the most flavorful hot chicken in nashville are all my recommendations. edley's also has some amazing wings (regular) full of flavor with a little spice. if your looking for hot wings.. edley's walking bird wings are insane! my only criticism is that the hot chicken and regular wings do vary of spice. one day there too spicy other days not so.
i do not recommend there side dishes except for the cole slaw.

edley’s is the best bbq restaurant in nashville. there are 3 locations and the food at all three are top quality. the bbq nachos are so good. edley’s uses house made potato chips instead of tortilla chips which makes the dish so much better. i’ve eaten at a lot of bbq places and edley’s can’t be beat.

great experience. three friends and me went on a sunday when it was crowded. we still got our food in a timely manner. every side option was good, and the brisket was cooked perfectly perfectly.

good bbq for the nashville area. also has good seating and tvs. be cooler if they put some heaters outside. really enjoyed there corn bread.

typically our experience at edley's is ok. the service is nice. the restaurant is quite clean. the food is pretty good -- basic bbq with small sides. not very many vegetable options, just corn and coleslaw. tonight we stopped in to order at 9:00pm, and they were completely out of the basic bbq options. now mind you, they close at 10:00pm, so i was a bit surprised they were going to remain open for an hour without having their featured items. if you have an interest in eating here, better arrive before 6pm cause the line is out the door until about 8pm. i guess you better get it before it's gone after 8pm. i don't think it's worth the wait. honestly, you can cook bbq at home in less time and have more food than visiting here.

mediocre bbq at best. considering this is nashville, i as expecting more! the pork was bland and everything else too! i don't necessarily recommend it.

great bbq, get there early if you want ribs, once they sell out they are done for the night. cornbread is awesome, mac and cheese cant go wrong. seating is first come,first serve

a great bbq joint in the beautiful 12 south. the prices were very reasonable but portions were a little small. we ordered the nachos to start and they were amazing. i loved that they were on bbq chips and i couldn't stop eating them. for my entree i ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a side of the mac cheese and cornbread. the sandwich could have had a tad bit more meat on it but it tasted great. the mac n cheese was perfect, i wish i had more of it. the cornbread i was not a fan of it was dry and hard.

everything i wanted my first bbq place in the south to be! the brisket was perfectly smokey, great homemade sauces and sweet tea. the cornbread and sides were just okay, but really, who cares when theres amazing brisket right beside them? would go back for sure.

this spot has that classic, sticky and smoky meats cooked top-notch. i like the spot for that nice, welcoming feeling and a very convenient system that prioritizes good food over everything.
