a very good bbq joint. had the brisket tacos, and they were stellar. the bbq nachos were good as well. i didn't like the grit casserole (i don't normally do grits), but i had to try it.

great atmosphere and friendly staff.. had the pull pork platter with greens and skillet corn and it was to die for. the cornbread is like how grandma use to make with a little twist. if you are in the area it is a must eat at place and the area has boutiques a great little place to hangout..

edley's bar-b-que, while specializes in bbq and a delicious assortment of side dishes, serves up one of the most legendary drinks in nashville. so, if for that reason alone, i made it a priority to stop. plus, who am i to turn down bbq?once we entered the 12south location (there are three locations in town), we walked up to the counter to place our order. i went with my classic barometer bbq selection: a pulled pork sandwich. and, i ordered the mac & cheese and banana pudding as my sides. i mean, if you're giving me the choice between cole slaw and banana pudding for sides ... that's no contest.i tried to order my drink at the food counter, but you have to go to the bar. so, i went to the bar for my bushwacker. bushwackers are like coffee, liquor and chocolate had a baby. while they sound like they would be amazing, i was not a fan. are you coffee? are you liquor? are you chocolate? pick a lane, bud. because my brain is expecting delicious ice cream and my tastebuds are getting whiskey. i'll keep my flavors separated so i can enjoy the simplicity of each. also, it was just really effing strong, and i wasn't feeling it this night.so, brittany was right. the bbq was dry. but, that's nothing a nice, thick, sweet bbq sauce can't fix. the sides, however, were bangin. a heaping cup of macaroni & cheese and banana pudding more than made up for the main component of this plate. the mac & cheese was creamy with a touch of breadcrumbs on top. the banana pudding was phenomenal. overflowing with layers of sweet vanilla custard, bananas and whipped cream.overall, delicious (and numerous sides), eh bbq. and ehhhh to bushwackers. grade: b

place was packed with a line out the door and even down the street. i knew that it was goig to be good as soon as we pulled up. worth the wait...best ribs i've ever had...what a distinct flavor nice bark all over. walking bird wings were the hot ones and man will they light you up too, but with great flavor....not just hot heat! enjoyed outdoor seating on a beautiful spring evening. go ahead and buy the t-shirt while your in line be a supporter, wish we had one of these in chattanooga where i live. favorite amongst bbq and really restaurants in general. i'll be back whenever i'm near nashville again. gotta get the fried okra too...man i could go on and on, everything had a distinct flavor unlike usual plain bbq joints, a little heat behind everything it seemed.... just the way i like it.

went here for brunch and had the bacon biscuit sandwich and the brisket breakfast burrito. the burrito was terrific while the biscuit sandwich was just so-so. kind and quick service. cute area of town.

really good barbecue. we had the half chicken and a pork sandwich. both good. also had the black eyed peas and the greens. very good flavor.

i love visiting edley's. it has a great atmosphere, cozy bar area, and, most importantly, great food. i usually get the catfish sandwich or platter and it's delicious. i have also had the nachos which are a must try. they have a great draft selection from local breweries as well.

i rarely ever leave a negative review, but edley's was one of the worst meals i've had in a while. the hot chicken was almost too salty to eat and nothing like the hot chicken from places like hattie b's. basically like they took regular chicken fingers and packed strong seasonings thickly all over the outside. shrimp in the shrimp sandwich was tough and over cooked. maybe my experience was unusual (they are rated highly on this site after all), but i have zero interest in going back.

atmosphere isn't everything in nashville...sometimes the food has to be good too. here, the pork sandwich was decent after sending my burned dried out ribs back twice. the service was fair...slow but responsive. peg leg's has nothing to fear

when my visiting cousin wanted some good bbq, i knew we'd have to give  edley's bar-b-que  a try.  my coworkers had recommended it multiple times,  yet i'd still never been.

generous meat portion on the pork platter. cornbread & blackeyed peas were very spicy & macaroni & cheese was dry. i'd go again but get different sides.

good bbq.... excellent nachos. got the brisket tacos... my only complaint- i wish i had ordered more! tried the bbq nachos with brisket. very good. nachos and bbq together might be the most perfect food. their chips for the nachos were home made potato chips- very nicely done. i will come back and bring the family for the nachos alone. i will come back again and bring my buddies back for the nachos too.

edley's proves that barbecue doesn't necessarily have to be simple to be amazing.

i love it! being a southern boy, i know something about bbq. edley's serves tender, moist, fresh bbq. i talked the cashier into letting me order a half-pulled pork, half-brisket platter, with slaw and potato salad. i honestly believe this was among the best brisket and pulled pork i have ever had. i was really impressed. the slaw blew me away! it is completely unique, with kind of a sweet and sour flavor. very special. my only complaint was the cornbread was a little bit over-cooked. edley's has great atmosphere, in a great location, serving great food.
