my taco was delicious – not quite as delicious as the unique chicken and apple taco from smoke, but it was a classic – fresh, warmcorntortilla, cheese, cilantro, lettuce, tomato, lime zest, onions…and of course, tongue. my mom raved about her taco, too, and commented on how she really liked the lime flavor in her taco.

reyna's steak taco yum. updated comment: they don't cook the tortillas enough for me so now i buy them inside and make my own. cookingcorntortillas in olive oil for like 5 minutes or so on high heat takes it to another level.

all fresh ingredients, awesome

tried the chorizo which was ok, steak was great.

the empanadas are supposedly microwaved so heads up on that.

also their hours are:

weekdays: 10 am : 3:30pm

weekends: 10: 5/5:30 pm

good mexican. i always go to this place to grab a mexican coke (the one in the big beat-up looking glass bottles) because it's made with real sugar as opposed to high fructosecornsyrup. their homemade, fresh tortilas - flour andcorn- are also awesome. you can watch them make them with a big machine if you're there at the right time. you buy them by the bag and if you get there at the right time they're still warm to the touch. they're a great, cheap way to add a whole lot of authenticity to your average taco night.

the thing that makes reyna's special is during nice days they have a cart out front where they make burritos, tacos and many other authentic mexican delights. i haven't had their burrito yet because their tacos are sooo good. they're made the way i assume a taco truck in california prepares them. very bare-boned but brimming with the flavors of fresh cilantro, onion, tomato and a dash of salt and pepper. they use their homemadecorntortillas which are a must-try for anyone who is only familiar with the ortega style ofcorntortilla - hard and stale. these are soft but get a little crunchy after they fry them lightly on their hot stovetop.

they also offered churros and a selection of juices which i have never had. there's nothing like three chicken tacos and a tall, cold mexican coke on a hot day.
