i've heard such great things about this place and finally came here tonight for dinner. i've also heard how crazy the line can get and how busy it is inside so we came early at around 6pm and managed to get the last free table. 

the restaurant itself is really tiny, the staff speak little english, service is poor and the seating is cramped. even at 6pm, people were lining up just to get takeaways.

we ordered the dan dan hand pulled noodles with crispy pork mince in aspicysoup and the dumplings inspicysauce. i orderedspicynoodles and medium-spicy dumplings and wow it was hot, i think my tolerance is pretty good forspicyfood but it was crazy hot! fortunately i could still taste the delicious flavours. 

the dumplings were my favourite dish! the dumpling wrappers are perfect and not too thick and doughy like you get at other places, they were so soft and silky. the sauce with it was amazing too, it had a very subtle sweetness to it which balanced the spicyness. i loved this dish!

the noodles were great too but just toospicyfor me, i loved the crispy pork mince on top for a different texture and love that the noodles are hand pulled. the broth is also so full of flavour. this place really does serve authentic sichuan cuisine and i cant wait to return and try more on the menu. 

i give this place a 4/5 based only on the food, as i don't particularly like the atmosphere inside, it's too cramped, hot and stuffy, along with average service.

perfect food destination on a cold day 👍🏻 my friend and i both ordered the dan dan noodles inspicysoup with crispy pork mince on top. we also got dumplings inspicyand sour soup and chinese pita bread with spiced beef. the noodles was excellent and the the pita bread was a pleasant surprise. but the highlight of the meal was the dumplings which is literally the best i’ve had in auckland. the price is cheap given the huge portion size of everything. waiting time might be long and service is not the most attentive, but eden noodles is definitely worth a go if you’re craving chinese cuisine.

after hearing all the good reviews about this place, we decided to come. we had the kumara noodles with sliced beef,spicydumplings and chicken wonton. the noodle soup is so flavoursome, i would say they cooked the soup with a mixature of beef, tripes and stomach because the soup didn't have a clear beef texture, so im still unsure whether i like the noodles or not. but like everyone said thespicydumplings are so amazing. the skin of the dumpling is so smooth and thespicysauce has a hint of sweetness which makes it really addictive. overall, a good cheap place for a quick meal

first time here and i really enjoyed hot andspicynoodles and dumpings. the dumplings became one of my favourite chinese dishes! (recommend☆) i would love to come back to try other dishes as well.

the dumplings here are some of the best in auckland and i don't say that lightly. having tried numerous dominion road dumpling dives, i find myself being drawn back to the addictive dumplings inspicysauce here. truly hard to beat!

okay, first time i tried theirspicydumplings changed my life. it’s one of those meals that you think about to snack on every now and then. i came here to eat something with my 3 year old son. i got a take away order, 2 largespicydumplings. dan dan noodle , cucumber salad and nonspicychicken noodle soup (for my son) we drove all the way back home ( we live in far west and drove all the way to mt eden)everything was perfect but the chicken noodle soup. it had a chilli andspicypickled cabbage. my poor son couldn’t have dinner, i rang the restaurant and explained how annoyed i was. they first apologised and asked me to send my details to get another for free. i gave my details in and 5 minutes later they called me and asked me the stupidest question. was itspicyoil or the pickled cabbage ? and i told them the cabbage wasspicyand there was a big cut up chilli in the noodles. she started rambling on which felt like she was trying to justify their mistake to make me feel like i was in the wrong. she was so rude and ignored me, laughed on the phone, raised her voice, and when i asked her for her name she ignored my call she then answered another call and ignored me the whole time. ( just remember she called me) when she finally picked the phone back up i told her how rude that was and she was like “i’m still working you know” she was sarcastic with her answers and you could tell in the tone of her voice that she just didn’t give a toss anymore. i had enough and asked for the bosses number, i called the boss and he was the sweetest and nicest person. very customer friendly and amazing service. he refunded the whole meal and gave me vouchers and apologised so many times as well as thanking me for notifying what needs to be done in his restaurant. 100% what every boss should be like, a lot of people could learn a lot from him. the food is a 4, customer service especially from “clair” is a 1. boss’s customer care 5. so i rate this place a 3 just for the food and their boss. but they really need to work on customer service there. if it wasn’t for this restaurants boss i would rate it a 1 because of how unprofessional they were .

i'm a big sucker for dumplings and anythingspicyto pair with it and this is exactly why i had to visit this place.
i ordered their dumplings withspicysauce and their dumplings with chilli and pepper sauce. the dumpling inspicysauce was super yum and really spicy. it has shichuan in it which gives you a numbing experience so be prepared for that. the dumplings with chilli and pepper sauce was not bad, it was quite strong in pepper flavours. it didn't make the meal too pleasant.
definitely coming back to try their popular dan dan noodles.

ate here a few months ago. saw everyone eating the dumplings in chilli oil - however we got the spicy, slightly sweet, cold noodles instead with abundant cucumber as well as the dan dan mian. the dan dan mian's flavours mostly came from the mince which was meaty and delicious. the dan dan mian came in broth which was slightlyspicylike the majority of dan dan mian which you can find in auckland. they have a wide range of noodles and dishes at a cheap price. next time i'm definitely trying the dumplings in chilli oil.

as a lover of noodles i just had to try this place out even though everytime i pass it, there's always a line of people. 

wasn't as amazing as i thought it would be however it was still pretty delicious. as someone who doesn't likespicyfood, this place may not have been the best choice. i would also like to try their dumplings next time as i only ordered beef noodles. i had it to go as it was filled inside. 

preferably i would go to other noodle places as they serve just as nice noodles and sides, which has more seating. though i would definitely go back and give them another try by ordering something without spice and try their other sides out.

when we got there the line was out the door, had to wait for a bit to be able to order.
am a big fan of dumplings so got dumplings inspicysauce and plain pork and chive dumplings. you can get 5, 15 or 20 dumplings.
the place itself is a bit cramped and feels grungy - there isn't much room to even walk down the aisle.
got our food in about 10 mins - dumplings were so good. dumplings inspicysauce may be my new fave dumpling dish.
if i ever come here again i'll be getting my food to take away if i'm honest.

all fired up...very tasty now i know why our work mates go there from countdown newmarket love itspicydumblings and the staff are super friendly it's a good sign when the work place is happy...lunch and dinner on the menu are great...go try it for yourself your see what i mean? great over all.

favourite restaurant in auckland, hands down. come here if you love handmade noodles/wontons/dumplings with a kick (most things are spicy), if you don't mind waiting for a table and don't mind eating in a cramped space. avoid dining hours as the queue can get pretty long, otherwise just order over the phone, then pick up and eat somewhere else. the longest i've waited is half an hour. my husband and i come here at least twice a month, we like to order xl noodles (top choices are dan dan both soup or dry version, or sichuan sauce)and 20 dumplings or wontons​ inspicysauce to share and any extra is the next day's lunch, especially when we're being greedy and order a 3rd dish. takeaway containers are charged at 50c each so we byo lol. i've converted a few friends to love this place too. when we moved out of auckland for a year, everytime we came back to visit this was always at the top of my list. just thinking about it makes me drool. definitely my happy place for food.

best dumplings ever highly recommend the signaturespicydumplings so worth the wait and the wonton soup soooo good if u have a cold would definately be comming here more often dont he scated of the line if your getting takeout just walk in and order

things to get: "dumplings inspicysauce"- no idea what's in the sauce but it is a magical, magical brew.  get heaps, you will kick yourself if you don't.  "noodles with crispy pork mince and pickles on top inspicysauce (dry)"- amazing.  cheap, delicious,spicygoodness.  medium is a good whack of spice.

eden noodle has to be one of the most amazing chinese takeaways i have had. thespicywonton soup is amazing! also, the dumpling inspicysauce & dan dan noodles are awesome as well.
always a queue (which is testimony to their great food!) & think they should rent the premises next door as they are always full. highly recommend...you are not going to get anything better than here! thanks eden noodle team!
