after hearing all the good reviews about this place, we decided to come. we had the kumara noodles with sliced beef, spicy dumplings and chicken wonton. thenoodlesoup is so flavoursome, i would say they cooked the soup with a mixature of beef, tripes and stomach because the soup didn't have a clear beef texture, so im still unsure whether i like the noodles or not. but like everyone said the spicy dumplings are so amazing. the skin of the dumpling is so smooth and the spicy sauce has a hint of sweetness which makes it really addictive. overall, a good cheap place for a quick meal

there's a certain hype around edennoodlecafe and going their for the first time, i absolutely loved this place and the food they serve.

yes, people can complain about how they need to wait in line, the cramped spaces and its grungy-ness.

however the essence for me of a great food joint is ultimately the food that they serve and what the food tastes like. for a very affordable price you are tasting the finest homemade chinese noodles you can get in auckland city and scrumptious dumpling for barely over $15.00.

our group all had a voracious appetite which was quelled and satisfied by edennoodlecafe.

showstopper: the dumpling and noodles are both fantastic dishes.

okay, first time i tried their spicy dumplings changed my life. it’s one of those meals that you think about to snack on every now and then. i came here to eat something with my 3 year old son. i got a take away order, 2 large spicy dumplings. dan dannoodle, cucumber salad and non spicy chickennoodlesoup (for my son) we drove all the way back home ( we live in far west and drove all the way to mt eden)everything was perfect but the chickennoodlesoup. it had a chilli and spicy pickled cabbage. my poor son couldn’t have dinner, i rang the restaurant and explained how annoyed i was. they first apologised and asked me to send my details to get another for free. i gave my details in and 5 minutes later they called me and asked me the stupidest question. was it spicy oil or the pickled cabbage ? and i told them the cabbage was spicy and there was a big cut up chilli in the noodles. she started rambling on which felt like she was trying to justify their mistake to make me feel like i was in the wrong. she was so rude and ignored me, laughed on the phone, raised her voice, and when i asked her for her name she ignored my call she then answered another call and ignored me the whole time. ( just remember she called me) when she finally picked the phone back up i told her how rude that was and she was like “i’m still working you know” she was sarcastic with her answers and you could tell in the tone of her voice that she just didn’t give a toss anymore. i had enough and asked for the bosses number, i called the boss and he was the sweetest and nicest person. very customer friendly and amazing service. he refunded the whole meal and gave me vouchers and apologised so many times as well as thanking me for notifying what needs to be done in his restaurant. 100% what every boss should be like, a lot of people could learn a lot from him. the food is a 4, customer service especially from “clair” is a 1. boss’s customer care 5. so i rate this place a 3 just for the food and their boss. but they really need to work on customer service there. if it wasn’t for this restaurants boss i would rate it a 1 because of how unprofessional they were .

over the years, i noticed edennoodlehouse have diluted their spiciness. but the food never fails. the original dan dannoodleis always good. i got the pork minced drynoodleand it was super delicious. the dumplings used to be filled to the rim but i noticed that its getting smaller and smaller lately.

as a lover of noodles i just had to try this place out even though everytime i pass it, there's always a line of people.

wasn't as amazing as i thought it would be however it was still pretty delicious. as someone who doesn't like spicy food, this place may not have been the best choice. i would also like to try their dumplings next time as i only ordered beef noodles. i had it to go as it was filled inside.

preferably i would go to othernoodleplaces as they serve just as nice noodles and sides, which has more seating. though i would definitely go back and give them another try by ordering something without spice and try their other sides out.

food 6.5/10
service 6/10
ambience 5/10
price 7/10

checked in about half hour after opening and starting to be filled with diners at this popularnoodlejoint, i guess they chose this small diner on purpose to get as many diners thru as possible and create a queue outside as advertising.
you may need to share a table too if you are socialable, if not then i suggest you get take outs.
i just had the medium braised beefnoodlesoup and nice n hearty with the noodles to my liking and right gauge too fans

i've wanted to dine here for a very long time and this weekend i finally got the chance! as we approached this small restaurant, we noticed a massive line that reached outside the store! we joined the line and waited about 5 minutes before being seated (there are not many dining tables available inside, so prepare to wait a while- we were lucky). the menu was very extensive and confusing as there were no pictures to illustrate the dishes.. nonetheless, we chose dishes that sounded most appealing.. i can't remember what we ordered as our initial dishes were not available :( so instead, i asked the lady what was good and ordered it (anything with chicken is good enough for me lol). my dish was anoodlesoup type with pieces of chicken - very nice. my partners was sauce based with chicken mince- also very nice. but the star of the night was the last dish we ordered - the pork dumplings in hot sauce. omg soooo good! so good that we went back the next day to order more haha. service here is pretty atrocious, but given that the workers don't speak much english, it's not surprising- the food makes up for it lol. i'll definitely come back again in the near future!

tried the dandan with rice noodles (#1) and the braised sliced beef with kumara noodles (#10).

although it took us a while to get inside after waiting in line, the food prep was very quick! presentation of the noodles was the best i've ever seen at any chinesenoodlejoints.

our dishes included pickled red cabbage over the top - kind of like a crunchy chinese version of sauerkraut. i loved this touch.

kumara noodles were somewhat bland; noodles could have used more salt when boiling. soup that came with it was okay, but the meat was nice.

the dandan was outstanding. well seasoned, noodles were salted well, the soup was perfect. my partner thinks it could have contained more sichuan pepper, but it was just right for me - i prefer it when my face doesn't go completely numb.

if you're happy to wait for about 10 mins in a line on weekends, this place is well worth the visit. i look forward to coming back.

edennoodlehas to be one of the most amazing chinese takeaways i have had. the spicy wonton soup is amazing! also, the dumpling in spicy sauce & dan dan noodles are awesome as well.
always a queue (which is testimony to their great food!) & think they should rent the premises next door as they are always full. highly recommend...you are not going to get anything better than here! thanks edennoodleteam!

i have been a regular customer here for quite some time now and they are definitely the bestnoodlecafe in this area. have tried many dishes and its superb. the only thing which they need to improve upon is service especially phone orders. no one expects to stand in queue for preordered food for 10-15 minutes.
