lovely ambience, courteous staff and 5* food. it was all worth every penny spent. tucked away on a quiet hill the access route to which is barren and pleasant to travel, this rustic property is a hidden gem that must be experienced at least once. a delightful change to the run of the mill dining that makes up most of ooty's offerings, we were thrilled with the taste, portion sizes, service time and the ambience above all. ample parking and lush greenery in every direction coupled with a lovely vintage building providing the backdrop for the entrance view simply adds to the overall fantastic experience. will be coming back again every time wevisitooty.

beautiful british typed interiors, outdoor seating with bonfire and sitting in glass house... various options for dining and all are equally beautiful... food is really good.. do try the ginger carrot soup, bruschettas and alferado pasta... a mustvisitwhen in ooty!

this is a mustvisitplace when in ooty. wonderful location, the view is mind blowing. the restaurant is very colonial and the staff are very courteous and helpful. you can have a chat with the hotel manager mr daniel who is very friendly and professional. one can dine in the glass gazebo outside or within the old colonial bungalow. we sat inside as it was sunny. the menu comprises of continental to indian dishes.
we ordered for a mushroom soup which was served in a wide bowl and was creamy and delicious. we had crispy veggies in schezwan sauce and veg momos. the crispy veggies was well made, but the momos were a bit over cooked. we had veg biryani served with raita gravy and papad. the spices were mild and tasted good.
the dal khichdi, pastas and desserts are very good here. the prices are a bit exorbitant but totally worth it.

it's an amazing place. had a lovely lunch and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible ambience waiting to take you deep into nature. the restaurant was filling up quickly. enjoyed tasty fish, cooked in butter and cheese. not too expensive affordable and on hill top..if youvisitooty you should surelyvisitthis place.

nice ambient with a very good food. i had tried these dishes which turned out to be very good for us and would like tovisithere again for trying different varieties.

great food, awesome ambience. me and my wife just loved the food. we tried continental and quality of food was better than what we get in bangalore. i will againvisitnext time i am in ooty. highly recommended place for all.

we went for lunch at earl secret … when we order veg momos which were in menu … the reply by waiter over there was yesterday was too much crowd at hotel so we won’t be able to make it … half of the items in menu he denied it as not available … than we told him to add potato in one of veg main course gravy instead of aloo … he was like we won’t be able to do it … let me take order of another table than will come back to you .. it was highly disappointing the service over their … even glass house which we went for lunch it was not clean also … this place is not worthvisitand staff over their they don’t have courtesy to serve guest … we literally got up and decorated not to have lunch , staff over their was laughing & seems he was quite happy as we didn’t order their … this place doesn’t deserve even single rating 😡 over hype place … i would just say don’tvisiton the basis of rating … it was really waste of time ..

been here recently seeing the 4.9 rating ( which is fishy given the no of 1 stars the restaurant have ).
ambience and customer interaction wise place is great, but a restaurant is only as good as it's food . given the cuisine and recommendations we went with an italian dish (chefs recommendations) and the dish was very average. like it was no where near to the hype and price.
indian food also not up to the mark.
there is absolutely no reason one should go to the place there are much better places tovisitin ooty .

this was my secondvisitto this cafe.. and i was disappointed with food taste right from starters to main course to beverages.. service and ambiance was up to mark.. the staff behaviour was very warm and welcoming..

earl's secret has the perfect ambience which you want to enjoy with a great meal.
if you are looking for a pocket friendly restaurant then it is not the place.
even though the prices are high, i loved the portion size of each dish. both the quality and quantity is commendable.
the property is located on hill top and secluded area, so if it is okay if you are driving and if coming by auto, then please keep it in waiting.
the seating area has both indoor, outdoor and glass house arrangement. on weekdays, the rush is quite less so you have seating choice.
the service is a bit slow even though it was not crowdy.
i have ordered 4 dishes - fettuccini alfredo, pasta in pesto sauce, grilled fish and chicken roulades.
among the dishes loved the grilled fish and alfredo pasta.

i had gone to this place after reading great reviews online. however, myvisitturned out to be very sour. main reason for this was their exceptionally long service time, they took so much time for serving one roti, i don't even wanna talk about the main dishes. even the bill came ten minutes after we asked for it. agreed there was rush there, but service was just too slow. and food was not anything out of the world or even delicious. it was very ordinary for the price they are asking. not worth going at all.

earls secret belonging to kings cliff has been quite a popular joint.
unfortunately ourvisitof 18 members on 14 jan 2021 took us in for an unpleasant surprise.

the server was not courteous, seemed incompetent to manage 18 ppl, couldn't take directions for food preparation and overall dosent fit the hospitality profile .

soups served without sides, papads served without chutney, starters missed and the ones which were served were cold and bland to say the least.

arguments for rotis, butter, taste of main course seemed like a new ordeal. main course seemed as if we were at mercy of the servers. i'll mannered tones, regressive comments by 'kiran' our server spoilt our mood. daniel , the manager didn't seem to help the case and tried to justify the waiters actions.

came to earls secret in december 2020, as we heard about the beautiful location and awesome food.
overall i would say it was definitely a mustvisitfor the experience.
highly recommend the lasagna and earls secret brownie. the brownie is a white chocolate and walnut brownie, which was surprisingly unique and delicious.
service was on the slower side, but that didn't bother us.
the place gets crowded very fast so come early for the good seats.

one of the best restaurants we have visited in ooty. this place has great ambience and the staff is very courteous and are ready to explain the history abt the place. the food over here is great with good presentation. a mustvisitif in ooty. the only thing which needs improvement is there washroom.
