worst service in london. the most hideous service i have had to date in london. food was very good, totally let down by the waiting staff. it was a total waste of a morning and money. i and 10 friends will not be returning. the chef should work somewhere else as their food is totally let down - it wasn't busy and i imagine when people get over the fact there is goodviewsit along with sushi samba will remain empty.

..... duck & waffle is a cocktail bar and restaurant, serving food and drinks 24 hours a day every day. it is famous for the stunningviewsof london and, of course, for its signature dish: fried duck egg and leg, served on warm waffles with spiced maple syrup. part of the experience of visiting duck & waffle is taking the lift that from the street takes you straight to the 40th floor in just a few seconds. avoid if you are afraid of heights! when the day arrived, we dragged ourselves out of the house on one of the coldest day of the year to get there for our 7:45 reservation, but delays on the northern line meant that we arrived 30 minutes late. nobody answered the restaurant phone, so we weren't able to inform them of our delay. whilst our table reservation had been

this is an outstanding venue to visit. the ride alone to the restaurant is breathtaking and theviewsonce you're there even more so.

the service stands out most of all. efficient and attentive.

the food is a limited menu but every item was delicious and full of flavour. a few more choices wouldn't have gone amiss.

do not miss out on getting some fries... even though they are a side dish.. they are unbelievably tasty.

the duck and waffle signature dish was gobbled up by everyone and highly commended... a little like a chinese crispy aromatic duck but not really?!? hard to explain but worth getting.

definitely a place to take anyone to impress - it's mostly a young crowd and very instagramable.

what we went for: breakfast with a wow factor

what we ordered: duck and waffle, black pudding, eggs en cocette with mushrooms, avo toast with scrambled eggs , coffees

what we paid: gbp 75

verdict: definitely full marks for the wow factor, starting with the uber fast lift to the 40th floor..

food - i would say my duck and waffle with the eggs and maple syrup was definitely a treat.. perfectly deep fried duck leg confit with the slightly sweet wffle, slightly runny yellow of the fried egg and a little touch of the maple syrup is a forkful if guilty pleasure ! i loved the dish and can totally understand the restaurant being eponymously named after its signature dish..
the eggs en cocette was a trip to mushroom heaven dunked in melted cheese and oven baked eggs.. the heavenly aroma of the mushrooms, truffle oil... eggs and cheese in oodles of butter- and little toast sticks to pick up that and put it in your mouth was definitely another dish right up there! heavenly, guilty pleasure , must eat !!! all the superlatives indeed..
the scrambled eggs with the avo toast was the healthiest dish on the table and arguably lost the battle if there was one for the wow factor .. perhaps the most sunny looking dish but i have had this myriad times in small variations .. duck and waffle did a good job of the dish but hey if you can get this at the local breakfast diner why make a trip all the way to duck and waffle :)

service was good.. they were even nice enough to take a few pictures.. small let down- while there was an empty table closer to the side with u interruptedviewsof london we were given a similar table inside - without a very good reason..

would i return? definitely !

wanted to get a lunch time reservation here and even though it is a 24 hour restaurant that time slot proved popular and could only book in for a late dinner or early breakfast. checked with friends and an early morning wake up call did not prove too popular so booked for the late dinner. located on the 40th floor it affords amazing views. unfortunately this evening it was quite cold outside and the condensation fogged up a lot of theviewsso probably best enjoyed during the day if you want to visit for the views.

once we got up there (the ride in the clear glassed lift is amazing) it was good we had a reservation as it was pumping at the bar and also a long wait for a table. we were greeted quickly and taken to our table. service was nice.

we had a variety of snacks, small plates, for the table (mains), and sides. the highlights were their signature of duck & waffle with a confit duck leg on top of a waffle with a fried duck egg and mustard maple syrup. the duck was wonderfully cooked and pairs well with the waffle. the runny egg yolk and syrup adds to the deliciousness. the baked heritage potatoes were amazing. the fresh truffle and caramelised onions complemented the potatoes so well i could’ve been happy just eating this. the maple glazed cornbread with harissa yoghurt was also really good. it was definitely filling as quite heavy but very tasty.

you’ll love this place no matter the time of day. the late night menu looked pretty good too!

an absolute masterpiece. the staff are so well trained, from the front of house to the waiters, even the bartenders - i literally can't remember the last time i came across such professionalism. you walk in, zip through a glass elevator to find yourself 40 floors above ground treated to the most breathtakingviewsof london city. everything about the experience screams first class, the service, the decor, the ambient tunes, mood lighting and of course, the food! the crispy leg confit, duck egg & waffle served with mustard maple syrup is to die for! such simple components for a dish that’s executed astonishingly well. this place is a must visit if you’re in london. top shelf!

the signature duck and waffle dish is the must have at this restaurant. the perfectly cooked duck meat and the crispy skin complemented the waffle with the maple syrup. other dishes were nicely presented and quite the appetisers. theviewsof london were amazing as well and the environment was buzzing. only downside was the orders for the sides were forgotten.

i stopped by for drinks here last night!
the experience didn't start great at the door and even for the first few minutes when we were at the top.
theviewsare amazing!
the drinks are decent.
the prices are a bit on the high side.
i didn't care for the service of the staff as most seemed very arrogant and distracted with their phones.

we booked in to go to duck and waffle about 2 months ago because of the reviews and recommendations we got. located on the top floor of the building theviewswere absolutely spectacular, especially at night. the service was great and we had a lovely waiter. however i must say that i was definitely let down by the food. the foie gras creme brûlée and brioche was nice but i personally felt like it needed a bit more seasoning. the signature duck and waffle dish was quite nice and eaten altogether was a great combination. it was my first time trying rabbit and the miso glazed rabbit was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. my friend mentioned that my birthday was in a few days and the waiter brought out a delicious mini fondant with a candle which said happy birthday which was lovely!
the avocado cocktail was recommended to us and it didn't taste like avocado but had an avocado after taste which was very interesting!
i think i just had high expectations for this place given all the good reviews and amazing location and it unfortunately did not meet my expectations.

dear diary,
duck and waffle is one of londons highest restaurants and runs 24hours. trust me when i say this- it’s packed for all of those 24hours every single day! they have a bar area and a restaurant and it’s always full! we booked a sunday brunch there for mother’s day and loved it! we ordered their famous duck and waffle, roast chicken, full elvis, mimosas and moscato. while their duck and waffle was great, what really stole the show was the roast chicken. it’s an entire chicken roasted to perfection! the sauce and the veggies which came with it too were fantastic- has to be one of the best i have ever eaten! with stunningviewsof the london skyline- this place offers a memorable dining experience.

first of all : book a table in advance!

duck & waffle is a london must and needs no introduction. located on the 40th floor, theviewsare breathtaking, especially at breakfast when the sky is orange and fills the restaurant with light. that view is everything!

as good as the view is the food. the highlight is their signature dish 'duck and waffle'. simply delicious!!
