...more for theviewreally... the food was so so.  most of the dishes were very stodgy.  was quite disappointed spicy ox cheek doughnut with apricot jam it was coated with tonssssss of paprika.   the dough with a bit too thick without much ox cheek inside its signature dish - duck & waffle, served with maple syrup creamy duck egg served on top of a confit duck leg.   it's not bad..  bbq pork ears  it's quite nice but we've noticed some hair still attached to it..

this restaurant/bar is on the 40th floor and as i am someone who is scared of heights, needless to say this was a tad scary for me, however the lift up is super fast, and the ambience in the bar/restaurant is very relaxing. theviewwas well worth the fear so please don't be deterred if you are scared of heights. the whole place was very luxurious and the drinks were exceptional. they smelt and tasted very nice. we ended up getting 'bar food' which is hard to call it bar food as it is immaculately presented. all in all, great experience!

duck & waffle is london’s highest restaurant. situated high up on the 40th floor at the heron tower, the restaurant offers sophisticated food with a panoramicviewof london to match with. in addition, the restaurant runs 24/7, providing services through breakfast, lunch, dinner and till late night as well as brunch for sundays. one can imagine such iconic restaurant would be rather pricey but in fact, the prices are not daunting at all.

aviewto die for, this place is just perfect. one of my favourite places in london. go for drinks with friends, early morning breakfast or a lunch date, this place is suitable for all occasion.
specially love the super quick lift. going up is a thrilling experience.

although the venue is pleasant enough with a shabby chic new york style decor, theviewis really what everything is about. we were lucky enough to be sat on a table in one of the restaurant’s corners where we could both get lost in the breathtakingviewor equally entertain ourselves by spotting landmarks whilst waiting for our dishes to arrive. whilst many restaurants with height choose to equally rocket their prices, duck & waffle have created a menu which doesn’t

some staffs were very rude and untrained. worst service i have ever seen. they would take your plate away without saying a word and splash water all over the table and just leave, not saying sorry. the other staffs were very nice but the ones in tacky red shirt were bad. i don't think they would serve for the evening time. theviewisn't great either compared to other skyline buildings, unless you like staring at gherkin. food was just about okay but i would never go here again. avoid brunch time at least. it is just 24h waffle shop trying very hard to compete with the shard.

i was excited to visit the renowned duck and waffle which my husband had been talking up and i must say whilst theviewis obviously super high up it’s not actually that impressive in terms of what you are looking at ie a fair amount of construction.

i love the vibe of the venue itself and the fact it’s open 24/7 (ensure you book), it would be pretty cool to come for sunrise (if you could be bothered which was too much of a stretch for a jet lagged tourist). i’m not really sure why the fascination with duck on the waffle but being their signature my husband did order it.

i stuck to a sweet waffle which was really yummy paired with a fresh orange juice which was also rather expensive albeit location, location, location. worth checking out

duck and waffle is a good experience - theviewis incredible. the freshly baked garlic and rosemary bread was also great. however, the pasta was well below average. it had very little flavour and we ended up having to add quite a bit of salt and pepper to make it taste like much at all. steer clear of this dish and it is definitely not worth £20.
perhaps we just picked the wrong dish as our friend picked the ‘duck and waffle’ and said it was fine.
definitely something i would only do once.

amazing experience! we ate an small plate of octopus and bread for start, it was very delicious. for the main plate we ate duck and waffle and it’s a very good combination actually. and theviewit’s quite stunning. i definitely recommend this place for dinner

the best poached egg i've ever eaten. we ordered a waffle with duck (house specialty) and it was unbelievable, amazing flavor and texture. incredible space, friendly service and the bestviewof london. one of my london favourites!

theviewfeom here is truly amazing. you get the opportunity to see majority of london. i have to say i was disappointed with the service. this place is 24 hours we waited 1 hour in the cold before we could go up and when we were upstairs there were plenty stables free. the food was okay, i suggest going only for the view.

loved the service, environment and food. the service from the security downstairs, to the bar entrance and reception, and the waiters was so good. environment was light and casual, with such a lovelyviewof the city. food was good, especially the cod. highly recommended and will go again if around.

awesome food and a more awesome view!

duck and waffle is a must visit in london, i would say it's the best place to enjoy british cuisine. i loved their toffee apple waffle though ox cheek benedict is good too. anyone would want to spend the evening sipping bloody mary while enjoying the cityviewand thus i recommend an evening visit to this place (with a reservation). this place definitely ends up in my good books👍
