nice nautical themed pub, food was disappointing. nice nautical themed pub, reminded me of old seaside pubs in england. our waitress was ok, service was minimal, no niceties, however the food let the place down. we'd been recommended to try the seafood chowder here by someone who'd visited previously. disappointing, basically a roux thickened fish stock with a few tiny pieces of seafood, nothing like chowders we've had elsewhere, pretty disappointing. like others, had a partial recipe for the chowder with the dish, but this does not appear to be what we were served. also had salt and pepper squid, which was better, seemed fresh, not overcooked or rubbery, but tempura was soggy, better than the chowder but also disappointing. overpriced for the quality of the food, but it's in a touristy spot. don't know if it's changed hands since the visit of the person that recommended it, or whether they've cut costs, or just food quality is inconsistent. disappointing after the recommendation, won't be going back.
