the dravida is a must try restaurant, with a different menu to what we usually have as south indian cuisine. the food is amazing. i have already visited the restaurant thrice and have had a greatexperienceall the time. i would specially like to thank mr teevramani singh and the whole team who let us host a beautiful anniversary dinner for our parents. i would definitely like to visit again.

just back from a six days interesting busy n memorable trip from ahmedabad and bhavnagar the calm cities of gujrat - of great culture, variety of regional cuisine and rich yet simple humble n down to earth community. there is so much to write about from our lovely experiences.

firstexperiencewe had of a very comfortable stay at the fern #an #ecotel #hotel on sg highway with great location and nice view of the city n highway from our spacious room. hotel is following all #covidprotocals of sanitizing luggage to screening and all staff n guests were seen wearing masks n maintaining distance. rooms and food everything had hygiene standards maintained to ensure guests safety. rooms and baths had all amenities in place and staff were attentive.

our lunch and dinner both were very meticulously curated by executive chef vijay kumar and ensured that we try the best of their specialities.

lunch started with a nice n hot khowsuey soup a perfect blend of flavors followed by chefs unique thai chicken tikka which came out as amazingly delicious, cheese cigar roll were crisp cover with melted cheese served with creamy dip and we couldn't resist a second helping. hara bhara cheese kebab were crisp but little bland but tasted fine with dips. tanzy yummy nachos were great in taste n presentation n my all time favorite caesar salad was perfect.

with such amazing starters and soup one is already full so mains were not needed but had to taste a spoonful of each dish of their signature thali which looked awesome n had

• dal the fern
• pachakari ishtew
• baby naan, lachha paratha, tandoori roti
• appam

to enjoy the thali fully you should only go for thali n no other starters..to do full justice to it.

dessert of banana dosa with honey, moong dal halwa dumplings with paruppu payasam was a feast to d eyes n looked n tasted great.

had italian dinner of crispy ravioli and lassagne which were both a delight and ended on a sweet note with
chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream.

under the leadership of a seasoned professional like gm rakesh dogra team was all performing well with smooth operations. would love to visit again to try more of their specialities.

i stayed in fern encotel and they had only dravida operational due to covid.we went here for the dinner during their onam festival. so they were serving limited ala karte menu and sadhya thali. being a zomato pro user i asked the girl taking our details before ordering whether zomato pro is valid here and she said yes it is valid. we ordered sadhya thali and i must say it was the authentic taste of south which we cannot get anywhere else in ahmedabad. the food,portions and service was good. now comes the bill payment part, before paying it i asked manager that i will pay it via zomato pro and he replied no i cannot give zomato pro today as it is festival days. i told him that i already confirmed with the lady before ordering and she said it is valid but manager denied it and instead of giving 30% discount of zomato pro he gave me 15% discount. its not about the money but its about making fool of a customer. first you say it is valid and while bill payment you deny it then its likd cheating your customer. please be clear whether you guys are actually giving zomato pro or not and each and every staff member must be aware of it. i am very upset with thisexperienceand i am even upset with zomato that why they are selecting such restaurants in pro who cannot stand to their commitment.

we had a greatexperiencehere. food taste, quality and service all over was quite good. 5*for their hygiene safety.

it was goodexperiencein this pandemic situation they take good safety from entrance of restaurant till the farewell and special thanks to their staff members for their support.

dravida is having pongal food festival ‘pongalo pongal’ till 19th january where they serve traditional pongal delicacies.
it was our firstexperiencetrying out
south indian dishes other than idli dosa and it turned out to be amazing.
all the dishes have their own unique flavours and really suited our taste buds.
they serve south indian desserts as well (2nd frame) which are made of wheat and rice. totally delicious.
also they have various types of pickles like tomato, nimbu, mirchi and aam pickle which makes your dishes even tastier.
the staff is so courteous and describes each and every dish so perfectly.

i visited this place when the onam (harvest ) festival was going on. that was a nostalgicexperienceof authentic southindian food.

the plate had a banana leaf and this thali included varieties of food.i really love appam and malabar paratha... now i am fan of avial and rasam.

this restaurant gives perfectexperienceof south indian food. also warm welcome to the live appam. really ambience restaurant wonderful vibe of keralian food.best place to try authentic taste.

i ordered malabar paratha, paneer sabji, appam, coconut neer and one starter and each and every item that i ordered was super tasty! thanks to mr vivek who recommended us all this stuff! he made sure that we have an amazingexperience. be it their staff, presentation , quality or taste every thing was on point. must visit this place .

first of all one of a kind restaurant and to those who think that south indian food means dosa, idli, utthapam then they should surely visit this place. this place will break all the stereotypes we have in our mind.

very nice location and located on first floor give it a very posh and upscale feel. and so do the cutleries and the way they are kept. it's truly a fine dine restaurant.

i personally don't like food in which i get flavour of coconut and i have told the same to the manager, and he selected the dish for me with a very different which i never ever had.

they initially served me a welcome drink which is different form of a chach which is just finger licking good.

had a chance toexperiencemalabari paraatha and appam, altogether a culinary gem.

don't miss the filter coffee. one of the best filter coffee. very rarely we find so good detoction coffee. coffee here can give a very stiff competition to starbucks.

the chef personally came to ask how is the food and so does the manager amandeep who repeatedly came to check. the service was superb with manager making sure theexperienceis just out of the world.

overall it's a place which surely worth visit and worth every penny you spend here.

it was my birthday and thought of visiting this restaurant since a long time to try the famous chettinad chicken. i had high expectations. asked the waiter to make it medium spicy but it seems there was no spice at all so a bit disappointed. the gravy tasted so so. but malabar parota was the perfect side dish for this. hopefully will have a betterexperienceanother time. staff and service was satisfying.

one of the best authentic south indian restaurants i have ever visited. the interiors and the ambience is breathtaking. the menu here is different than other typical menus you find in other south indian restaurants. and the unusual part of the menu is you won’t find dosa or uttapam in it. the food here is really delicious and you can actually feel the taste the authentic spices. variety of options. must try the various pickles they offer; especially the garlic pickle if you don’t mind the smell in the aftermath. overall theexperiencewas awesome.
