about fern it's 5 start luxurious hotel in ahmedabad having amazing cafe like fern, dravida and garden cafe.

about dravida it's my favorite at there :)

when we visited that time crog festival going on and they have prepared very well :)

i will definitely give full mark for there service , food taste and food presentation.

when we visited staff was also in south indian dress. also atmosphere, decorations like same :)

excellent food. very different andauthentictaste. must try for once.
we had bissibelebhat which was average.
panner ki sabji and kerela paratha was outstanding. and a great delight was pan in the end.

we had ‘south indian’ dinner,authenticone:
starter: kuzhi paniyaram
main course: rasa kaya - mix veg cooked in tangy spicy gravy
avial: a kerala speciality made with coconut, shallots and green chillies yoghurt.
and bisibela rice!

along with 5-6 types of pickles- lasun, green chilli, poddy with spoonful of ghee, mango, and more in pickles..

we all were out of words to describe the taste of food! soauthenticand soul satisfying!!

i will recommend everyone to go there and let me know if i was right or not.
every food items are soo garnished. their chef is belong from chennai. that's why their foods taste like pure south indian.

we had a very comfortable stay at the fern residency. the rooms are clean, comfortable and beautiful in addition to being of a good size. the food is good and the staff is very polite and hospitable.

good hotel with great hotel staff,ambience also very nice.
easily cab availability and not very much far from city centre,railway station,bus stand.
room service is also good .
overall is good experience.we would like to rate this hotel truely a four hotel with a five staff service, specially would like to thank shani, lakshmi and rajkumar for making our stay enjoyable. would like to express our special application to chef sashi, who was very humble and courteous, takes time to come out of the kitchen and talk to the diners

the hotel is close to the market and other places of visit so one enjoys making several trips in a day too to different places. go for it with closed eyes.

the place overall is nice.. seatings arrangements were nice too..authenticsouth indian food which doesn’t include idli and dosa but everything else. which says south cuisines are more deeper in the variety. staff was very courteous. they have the thali system and even the dessert isauthenticsouth indian. must visit.

well this is probably the only place in ahmedabad that serves luxury south indian thalis.

the food is to be honest quite decent, not in the lines or a match with theauthenticsouth indian thalis.

it’s a good match for people wanting a different break from the regular outing in ahmedabad.

i stayed in fern encotel and they had only dravida operational due to covid.we went here for the dinner during their onam festival. so they were serving limited ala karte menu and sadhya thali. being a zomato pro user i asked the girl taking our details before ordering whether zomato pro is valid here and she said yes it is valid. we ordered sadhya thali and i must say it was theauthentictaste of south which we cannot get anywhere else in ahmedabad. the food,portions and service was good. now comes the bill payment part, before paying it i asked manager that i will pay it via zomato pro and he replied no i cannot give zomato pro today as it is festival days. i told him that i already confirmed with the lady before ordering and she said it is valid but manager denied it and instead of giving 30% discount of zomato pro he gave me 15% discount. its not about the money but its about making fool of a customer. first you say it is valid and while bill payment you deny it then its likd cheating your customer. please be clear whether you guys are actually giving zomato pro or not and each and every staff member must be aware of it. i am very upset with this experience and i am even upset with zomato that why they are selecting such restaurants in pro who cannot stand to their commitment.

the place servesauthenticsouth indian food. withauthentici mean food items other than dosa and idli. i had been to dravida for thier onam sadhya festival. all the curries served had coconut as the common ingredient but each of them had a totally different taste. one of them was made in coconut milk as well. the best part of the meal was they actually served each and every delicacy that should be served in an onam sadhya thali. chutneys are the best one to add on. the dessert is made with jaggery and no sugar is used.
well this place is must visit with or without festival.
the chef himself comes to take the order. they explain each and every dish that is being served. i must say this place has a very courteous staff.


they are taking good precautions in covid. sanitization is there. each and every staff member has mask and gloves on. they have a special envelop to keep our mask while eating.

the food was great as always.authenticsouth indian (as per my taste buds).
amidst a pandemic situation, the staff at dravida has been extremely cautious and well prepared. they're taking all the possible precautions to give you a safe experience.
to top it all, they're also giving away a independence day offer (till 15th aug) and you can win up to 73% discount on your total bill. (we got lucky!)

nice place for fine dining in ahmedabad with someauthenticsouth indian preparations, especially non veg food was good. very good hospitality. liked filter coffee and non veg pickles.

dropped in this restaurant forauthenticsouth indian cuisine and i was not dissapointed. recommended to try out different dishes from various southern states for a good culinary experience. especially good forauthenticnon vegetarian preparations.
